The total cost, including a surprisingly large portion of shrimp (7 medium size shrimp, cleaned very well and served chilled) was very reasonable. The salad itself was very good and the shrimp brought it to another level. My partner got the Shrimp Spring Roll salad. Again, it looked great and was very tasty. The portions are very generous. NEVER AGAIN! Our salads were rotten and spoiled. The arugula was yellow, rotting and slimy. Instructions were not followed. We ordered snap peas but received edamame, which one of us is allergic to. We stated for the hard boiled egg & avocado to be on the side but both were mixed in and mushy crumbles (not even recognizable). This review is for the Wildwood shopping center in Bethesda, MD. I've visited other locations before, so I figured I'd check out this location to grab a reasonable lunch with a friend who is on a semi Keto plan. Parking at this location is a bit hectic. We parked in back which was easier and safe than walking through the busier parking. Friend and I both got the Palm Beach Salad. It was as expected. The dressing does make a difference though cause my friend had to skip the dressing while mine had some. Would have liked my salad chopped up a bit more, but I wasn't watching the person behind the counter making mine as he had given us our ticket and pointed us towards the cashier. Excellent online ordering and pick up. I placed my order 10 minutes before store opening and it was ready when they opened. I got a text message telling me that it was ready. I ordered the Classic Cobb Salad with no blue cheese but cojita cheese instead. I also placed in the note section, no utensils or napkins. I asked that they use as little packaging and reduce waste. I used to LOVE Chopt-- the experience of picking your ingredients and watching it all get chopped in front of you, the energy from the staff. Maybe I had high expectations due to nostalgia, but I was underwhelmed. My salad was fine (after all, I did pick out everything that was in it) but it just felt bland. I got greens, quinoa, celery, cucumber, tomato, chickpeas, chicken, and dressing. My mom ordered the Ultimate, and I ended up eating some of hers because it had way more flavor than what I conjured up. I was honestly in the store, 7 mins tops! Very nice and clean inside, like a brand new look. I had the Kale Caesar Salad with chicken and it was great! Salad was made to order right in front of me chopped and mixed in with the dressing. The kale was good, chicken cooked just right and was totally filling. Love this place! We were visiting some family in the area and decided to come here for a salad. So glad we did. We sat outside even though there was plenty of indoor seating. One of the employees greeted us in the line and was very friendly. They have a great selection of greens and toppings for the salad and you can custom make your own. The salad was plentiful and full of fresh ingredients. Located in the Balducci's shopping center. Parking is plentiful. First time here and I think I might love it but it's too early to tell! If you're looking for something a more refreshing then stick with the cold salads but if not try a warm salad. I got the chicken tinga salad (warm salad) and it kinda reminded me of a healthier Chipotle or California Tortilla. My friend got the steak salad and another friend got the kebab cobb. Both their salads were refreshing! I can't wait to go again and take my sisters here :) You can order something off the menu or create your own. I'm in this plaza often, but this was my first time at Chopt. I ordered a warm grain bowl called the Mediterranean. It was full of colorful, crunch feta and tangy vegetables. There was a nice spiciness that was not overwhelming. Lately, I've been more into plant based meals so I really liked that their meal was packed with vibrant foliage, but had just enough chicken so that I didn't feel like I was missing out the protein I'm used to eating. I'd love to try other other bowls in the near future. They had a cauliflower rice option that you can choose instead of grains in your bowl. My only feedback is that I wish my bowl had a little more dressing. Although, in hindsight I'm sure they would have given me more if I had just asked. Quality, good food here! read more

It's no secret to those who know me that I love Chop't. It's definitely a go to lunch spot. This specific location has a crowded parking lot, but I've seen worse. It's always busy and they are fast and efficient. Today when I visited for my normal Santa Fe salad, the staff were extra peppy (which I like). They always have destination salad options that change. I almost veered away from my usual order, but had last minute doubts and went with my trusted friend the Santa Fe (mentioned above). I never add meat because I don't think the salad needs it. The most recent time, I chose to get the Santa Fe salad sans the tomatoes. I loved how the guy behind the counter urged me to replace the tomatoes with something else so that I could get my money's worth. They have an impressive variety of options, and some warm bowls too. Alternatively, you can make your own. There's ample seating and the line goes pretty fast. Make sure to ask for bread if you like, because its complimentary. I loved the Santa Fe and would definitely get it again. Depending on when you go, the parking sitch can either be a breeze or a nightmare (lunch breaks are the worst; nighttime is fine). read more

They were a little heavy on the salad dressing, so I suggest you ask for dressing on the side. The bowl they put your salad in may look a little small, but looks can be deceiving. They actually give you a decently-sized portion that's perfect for a light lunch. I like the fact that they give you a complimentary piece of pita bread so you can make your own mini-wrap from it. The interior is spacious, clean, and super GREEN. The walls are a bright green color, which really works with the place. I don't know exactly what it is, but the interior is very inviting. They have an ample number of seats as well, so finding a seat shouldn't be too much trouble. The salad creations here definitely exceeded my expectations. Chop't (Wildwood Shopping Center) - Are you trying to chop up the franchise? When I heard that Chop't was opening in Bethesda, it was the highlight of my day. After work I rushed over and ordered the Sante Fe salad. As I was paying for it, I took out my Chop't loyalty card, excited to get another point and one step closer to my free wrap. However, my smile quickly crumbled and formed a frown. This location didn't honor the loyalty card because they wanted to try something different. I have been ALL of the other 8 locations in the DC/MD/VA locations NUMEROUS times and they all swiped my loyalty card. I'm not sure why this Chop't is operating as its franchise and not honoring the card. In addition, the employee did NOT give the pita in the salad. WHAT?! The pita is the best part! I am admittedly new to the Chopt shtick, so I have to say SweetGreen is on par for freshness but has a mild advantage in service and portioning. SG staff are as chipper as these guys are gloomy. Assembly line works three salads at a time. While it's neat to watch the greens get chopped, I wasn't aware of carb options or loyalty card until I glanced at reviews afterwards. I dig the fountain soda options and malt vinegar chips, and my (alright) braised tinga chicken would've been cheaper had it rained a few hours sooner (snow/rain discounts are a great idea). Plenty of seating inside early in the lunch hour, and I grabbed a spot at one of the two tables outside. A healthier Wildwood alternative to LPQ I suppose. read more

I absolutely get the reason why Chop't is a popular grab-and-go place in the DMV area. The greens are fresh, the protein look clean, and each staff member is an expert of their craft along the salad assembly line. While I can't fathom the idea of paying ~$14 for a salad, I realized that for a lunch or light dinner, the portion size is about right. If I were to buy all the ingredients myself, sure that'd be cheaper, but isn't that why we pay for convenience? I do have one criticism (hence 4 stars): they are skimpy about the protein. I could fool a vegetarian that my Chop't salad has roasted chicken. Anyhow the parking situation is a disaster on a beautiful spring/summer day. But rest assured that if you circle the parking lot long enough, there will be plenty of people leaving since there are a ton of grab-and-go places along the strip. A very tasty and healthy salad place! Go here pretty regularly and use the App to pay. Really like the Mexican Caesar Salad! It is probably my favorite. Normally get great service and correct ingredients put in my bowl. Adding extra toppings will get charged a little more, but it's OK. This Chop't location is brand new. I've been to the Union Station Chop't a couple of times so it's nice to have one closer by. Chop't salads are pretty big and you get a piece of pita bread with them. Some of them are pretty unhealthy but I like that they have the spa dressing selections which cut out some of the calories and fat. I made my own salad but there were a couple on the menu that caught my eye. Spa tzitaki yogurt dressing is my favorite with some smoked tofu for protein. The line here moved quick. I was impressed. This was my first Chopt experience. I typically go to Cava around the corner but I wanted to change it up. First, I need to admit I do not typically go for salads, but I had just finished a 3-mile walk so I felt the need to be "healthy." This location has prime real estate. A great spot (for Bethesda) with outdoor sitting to allow good people watching form the Capital Crescent Trail. More importantly, it is far enough from the main road to make the outside seating more enjoyable. There isn't a constant buzz from the engines that drive by as with most of the other locations along the roads. The Staff was friendly. The food appeared and tasted fresh. The serving size felt bottomless. I felt like it took me forever to eat my Cobb salad...and I can eat a lot of food, and fast. Salad lovers probably love a place like this. One of my favorite places to eat. The salads here are so good. They have some great combinations and everything taste fresh. I love how at the end they chop up every thing. Chopping the salad makes it into the perfect pieces of mixed salad so you are not only getting the big leafy salad at first. The food here is very healthy and tasty. I almost decided to become a vegetarian after eating here, but the salad with chicken taste very good. The employees are very polite and very good at what they do. They are so professional and mix things in perfectly. The portions are huge and usually a salad last two meals.
