Salads are very fresh and delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of options (premixed menu salads or build your own). Only 4 stars cause of the hefty price - and small portions for the paid add-ons.

    Yellow, slimy spoiled arugula.

NEVER AGAIN! Our salads were rotten and spoiled. The arugula was yellow, rotting and slimy. Instructions were not followed. We ordered snap peas but received edamame, which one of us is allergic to. We stated for the hard boiled egg & avocado to be on the side but both were mixed in and mushy crumbles (not even recognizable). This review is for the Wildwood shopping center in Bethesda, MD. We'll stick with Honeygrow which has always been exceptional. We rarely leave a negative review but our salads were pathetically inedible. How does a restaurant serve this? SMH!

I must say, in general, I am not a big salad shop kind of guy but I was impressed here. Wanted a light lunch in the area and thought about checking this out. Line was very long but service was FAST. I was honestly in the store, 7 mins tops! Very nice and clean inside, like a brand new look. I had the Kale Caesar Salad with chicken and it was great! Salad was made to order right in front of me chopped and mixed in with the dressing. The kale was good, chicken cooked just right and was totally filling. It's hard for me to get full off of salads alot so I was glad this one did the job. They have multiple locations in the DMV area and the East Coast. I highly recommend coming here for a nice salad and fast service. You WONT be disappointed!

It's a nice clean service oriented place to grab a salad or even a warm bowl. Been a few times and service is consistent. Salads are made to order. Menu choices are a safe bet and a la carte make your own is available. Parking is vast and this location is busy most of the time. Will return to enjoy a healthier food options.

Here is a picture of the salad I ordered online from Chopt for the 100th or so time. Notice anything about it, like that the bowl is only HALF filled? WTF, Chopt??? I'd this happens again, you lose this customer for good.

Love this place! We were visiting some family in the area and decided to come here for a salad. So glad we did. We sat outside even though there was plenty of indoor seating. One of the employees greeted us in the line and was very friendly. They have a great selection of greens and toppings for the salad and you can custom make your own. The salad was plentiful and full of fresh ingredients. They also had calorie count for salad dressings etc. I will definitely be back if I'm in the area again for a great spot for lunch in a convenient location with a parking lot.

Located in the Balducci's shopping center. Parking is plentiful. First time here and I think I might love it but it's too early to tell! If you're looking for something a more refreshing then stick with the cold salads but if not try a warm salad. I got the chicken tinga salad (warm salad) and it kinda reminded me of a healthier Chipotle or California Tortilla. My friend got the steak salad and another friend got the kebab cobb. Both their salads were refreshing! I can't wait to go again and take my sisters here :) You can order something off the menu or create your own. After eating here we went to Balducci's and got delicious dessert! :)

I go to Chop't every so often and have a great experience every time. Usually when I want to treat myself because I try my best to make my own salads rather than buying them. The most recent time, I chose to get the Santa Fe salad sans the tomatoes. I loved how the guy behind the counter urged me to replace the tomatoes with something else so that I could get my money's worth. They have an impressive variety of options, and some warm bowls too. Alternatively, you can make your own. There's ample seating and the line goes pretty fast. Make sure to ask for bread if you like, because its complimentary. I loved the Santa Fe and would definitely get it again. Depending on when you go, the parking sitch can either be a breeze or a nightmare (lunch breaks are the worst; nighttime is fine).

If you're looking for a place to satisfy your salad fix, Chop't has got your back! At Chop't, they give you the freedom to create custom salads tailored to your tastes. They also have some great options for you to choose from on their menu so if it's your first time, I would stick to choosing one of these. It was my first time trying this chain, but I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. Ordering is easy. It's like an assembly line: you choose your ingredients, the employees chop everything up with a crescent-shaped blade, and then you're off to pay & enjoy your salad. I ended up choosing their Santa Fe salad, and was not disappointed. My salad had chopped romaine lettuce, avocados, tomatoes, corn, fried onions, and pepper jack cheese. They were a little heavy on the salad dressing, so I suggest you ask for dressing on the side. The bowl they put your salad in may look a little small, but looks can be deceiving. They actually give you a decently-sized portion that's perfect for a light lunch. I like the fact that they give you a complimentary piece of pita bread so you can make your own mini-wrap from it. The interior is spacious, clean, and super GREEN. The walls are a bright green color, which really works with the place. I don't know exactly what it is, but the interior is very inviting. They have an ample number of seats as well, so finding a seat shouldn't be too much trouble. The salad creations here definitely exceeded my expectations. Chop't has delicious salads that'll rock your world! A must-try if you're looking for something new for lunch.

    Braised chicken tinga salad.

I am admittedly new to the Chopt shtick, so I have to say SweetGreen is on par for freshness but has a mild advantage in service and portioning. SG staff are as chipper as these guys are gloomy. Assembly line works three salads at a time. While it's neat to watch the greens get chopped, I wasn't aware of carb options or loyalty card until I glanced at reviews afterwards. I dig the fountain soda options and malt vinegar chips, and my (alright) braised tinga chicken would've been cheaper had it rained a few hours sooner (snow/rain discounts are a great idea). Plenty of seating inside early in the lunch hour, and I grabbed a spot at one of the two tables outside. A healthier Wildwood alternative to LPQ I suppose.

Got the vegan black bean quesadilla and mixed berry muffin. At 99 cents each, the muffin is a great price. It looks and tastes homemade, and not as sweet and "cakey" as other commercial bakery muffins. It was moist with sweetness from mostly the blueberries and cranberries (nothing dried, all fresh). Loved it and will buy again. The quesadilla was made to go on a hot skillet. The tortilla was perfectly toasted and crispy. It was stuffed with vegan cheese, black beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and corn. The beans were seasoned well (chipotle) and the vegan cheese and veggies complemented perfectly. Came with also a side portion of spicy crema sauce which added a kick to the dish. Staff was polite, food is great! Will continue supporting these businesses!

Back then the food quantity and the service were top notch-great service with a smile and good quantity portion size. Since then, everything has gone downhill and this place is hit or miss depending on who makes your food, not to mention that anything worth having or anything that is not a cheap item has been removed from the menu (ex: hearts of palm, and now even the popular jackfruit tacos!) Only the cheapest ingredients left behind such as beans, chickpeas, onions, cilantro so they can major profit more and more. The menu has become boring to everyone I know with no exciting new items but just the same old and taking away certain items that the customers love. (Other Moms locations I go to switch up their menus with yummy offerings that Ive never seen offered at this location) Their prices have also gone up quite a couple of times since before covid and on top of that their portion sizes have lessened by more than 50% and still they get stingy only at this location when scooping the scoops always shaking the spoon to lessen the portion of each scoop and still finding sneaky ways to raise the prices more or take away anything that might cost more. Ive also noticed they only hire Hispanics now which I don't care but they definitely do not give service with a smile and half the time they don't understand what you are asking for and get rude if you sub or ask for something that might require a change. I am Spanish so of course I understand the language and alot of times they talk bad or whisper to each other right in front of me when you are undecided or make changes to the menu items. In my opinion, a different manager is needed that values customer service as the current manager is rude and does not like when you ask for substitutions and very stingy as well with portion sizes. Back in the day if i wanted half a scoop of one topping and half of another on my tacos it was ok, not anymore. A lot of people who don't come here often rate good as a good lunch spot but when you come here consistency, you start to see the flaws and lack of service,

Was feeling hangry because I had planned on stopping at Hard Times for a bowl of chili -and found out they were closed on Mondays. So, pretty much pulled a name out of a hat and would up at Chuan Tian Xia because, well, Szechuan cooking uses chiles, no? Yesssss! I ordered Signature Dumplings and a bowl of Beijing-style Beijing-style Zhajiang Noodles. The dumplings were outstanding: a mix of shrimp, pork, and chive that were plump, juicy, fragrant with the herbaceous flavor of chives. The accompanying sauce was not too sweet, not too hot, just right as a complement to the dumplings. Yowza. I was a happy camper... ...and then I dug into my noodles. Double yowza! Thick wheat noodles topped with a rich sauce made from (I think) fermented soybean paste and braised pork belly, garnished with cucumbers. The portion was way to big for me to eat after my flight, but I really, really enjoyed it (and the remaining dumplings) for lunch today. Did I say yowza? I'm an adventurous eater so the menu's less Americanized items were what I would have ordered given more time (like Maoxuewang: can you say "pig's tongue, spam, pork intestine, and beef tripe"? Protein is protein, baby!). Just means I need to come back, and I will, as quickly as I can.

I got in there and the place was empty and I had to practically yell "excuse me" and someone came out to seat us. The old restaurant was a personal Hotpot place and the new restaurant didnt change the tables or the plates or practically anything so I was a little confused. We ordered and the waiter was super nice and helpful. He suggested good dishes to try and explained that each dish you order comes with a bowl of rice. When the food cane out we were shocked by the portion size. It was way bigger than we were expecting. The flavor of the food was good but a little messy. One dish we ordered was a little bland and the other 2 were pretty salty if not eaten with rice. The fish was not as crispy on the outside as I thought it would be but the inside was super tender and cooked very well. The color wasnt right but the flavor was there. It could've used a little more seasoning on top but it was good either way. The chicken we ordered was extremely spicy, which I liked, but it was pretty spicy. The pork we ordered was okay. It wasnt super authentic because they didnt cut the meat correctly but the flavor was there. Altogether I liked this restaurant and the prices were extremely fair considering their portion size. I would come here again to try the other dishes they have.

Wow, Oh Mama Grill sure has gotten an upgrade! Beautiful tiles, love the black-and-white, crisp,…read moreclean look, and new booths -- though I didn't try sitting in one yet, didn't think to as I was on a mission to get to all the Israeli restaurants around for and on Israel Independence Day, ha ha! (And yes! I succeeded!) The benches are a light, bright-looking wood. There are also regular tables for those who prefer that .... It's amazing how much spacious seating is packed into this little place! I wish the outside reflected the new, light beauty but I guess the treasure is only to be found by those who venture in .... As an Israeli-in-America, I appreciate the selection of Israeli drinks in the cooler, and of course the national snack of falafel! Some say they don't put fries in the pitas -- well, yeah! That's true! If you don't ask, you don't receive! I ask! I receive! I do sometimes find the sandwiches to be kind of messy, so I try to sometimes get less various salads and pickles and such so it's not completely overflowing -- because this place is GENEROUS! Of course, if you're not used to kosher food, you'll probably not understand that it does cost more because for one thing (out of many!), there has to always be an 'extra' person called a mashgiach (supervisor in Hebrew) who oversees everything to make sure it's all, well, kosher! Kosher meat is more expensive, too. And yeah, meat doesn't come with dairy! So that is not available. I heard someone asking if they had a cheeseburger and had to work to not crack up about it! I LOVE the grilled eggplant bits you can get put in -- they're special, not in the regular line up, right there at the end -- because not only do they add so much flavour and texture with so little bulk, but eggplant is one of those things I usually cannot eat because it hurts my oh-so-sensitive tongue, but this place makes it per-fect-ly, mmm ... ! So delicious! I enjoy both purple and green cabbage and carrots, but I don't like the flavour of the onions. That makes me sad, because I LOVE onions, but these ones have something on them that I don't like (looks like it's sumac -- which is ironic, because that's something that I normally love and use all the time!) and I end up picking out when I sometimes forget or get hopeful and just get them again anyway .... Actually, the onions are one of the few condiments here I do not like! The pickled beets are great -- and of course, great for your liver! They are cleansing, nutritious, and boost your Russian-ness, to boot! Or your Russian Jewishness, anyway .... I know that eating them makes my grandmother proud! The benefits of eating here are not and are also not like ones you can attain in just any regular restaurant, and it's here for people who want this kind of thing. It literally is a cornerstone, being on the corner and providing the things certain of us need -- Israeliness, Jewishness, kosherness, etc. It's too bad it suffers from bad reviews by people who don't understand or care. By the way, the work that goes into making all these salad items fresh every day is, let's just say, a LOT! I almost always get the falafel -- I used to get a platter, but it was too much for a meal so I switched back to the classic pita version and that's a perfect amount for me for a meal, plus I feel it's better for the environment because it comes packaged minimally in a little parchment paper rather than a recyclable aluminum plate with a non-recyclable aluminum-and-paper top. Truth be told, I could have trouble finishing writing this review because thinking of Oh Mama Grills' falafel is making me so hungry! I am really getting in the mood for some right now! Other things I eat from here regularly (and have for years): Israeli salad Moroccan (vegetarian) cigars Rice Other things I know are great by way of seeing the delight on my eating partner's face while consuming: Okay, I so I don't remember, but various meat things! Chicken, I think .... Things I don't love from Oh Mama Grill: Bean soup -- didn't have enough flavour for me .... Sabich. I dunno. Just didn't love it! It's hard to top falafel, in my opinion -- well, this falafel from this place, that is -- so I don't feel the need to explore the menu very much .... There aren't a whole lot of places (if any!) that offer such a variety of salads, pickles, and sauces! As an absolute pickle-lover who finds pickles and not just that but a variety of pickles a MUST for my diet, this place has it going on like no other! Update! Tried sitting on a bench at a booth! It's pretty hard, not super-comfortable, but doable -- however, a harder seat is better for your posture and health long-term! The falafel pita with toppings aplenty is so delicious, I am craving one right now ... and, in case you've ever tried some of the marinated types of vegetables here and found them too sour, I did too! Now, that is fixed. They are no longer so sour, and are therefore much more eminently edible! My eating partner agrees.

His burger was sad, looked like someone had worked out their aggression on it. Seriously, I've never seen any burger & bun that flattened. It was my mistake, I was excited because of the description (it contained lamb) but wasn't anywhere close to the Greek burger we get in VA, I'm not sure it was even up the fast food level, although it was definitely in competition for flatness. My dish was composed a lot of very dry meat. I'm no longer considering a stop as I drive.
