A cute food stand. I love the colorful signs.

Seoul Spice is all gluten free. That is a huge deal for someone with serious gluten allergies. My granddaughter loved her pork bowl with vegetables and rice. She likes it spicy and she was thrilled with the sauce and her dinner. Service was great and I liked how she was able to personalize her meal. Seoul Spice is located in the food court in Westfield Montgomery Mall. The restaurant is clean and well organized. My granddaughter finished every bite, even after saying she was so full from the movie snacks. So, great job, Seoul Spice.

Beef bowl with soooo many toppings.

For a dining experience...in a mall, you cannot go wrong with SeoulSpice. My rice bowl was about 13 bucks, and I thought the portions were very generous. To be frank, the pricing is pretty good compared to other businesses in that food court. The bowl is enough for two small meals or one big meal if you are REALLY hungry. For a "general" bowl, you pick a base (the base can be split between two items), a protein, and as many toppings and sauces as you would like. I made my own bowl with a purple rice/green bases and beef. I forget all of the toppings that I added to the bowl. For the price, I thought the bowl was very delicious, especially for a mall's food court setting. Also, the quality of the food was decent. The woman who was working behind the counter was very nice and professional. Since the mall is pretty close to one of my clientes, I have a feeling that I will be back a few times in the near future.

I love SeoulSpice because it is fast and easy, and it isn't terribly unhealthy. I would argue it's a pretty healthy choice! Good way to stick to any plans for healthful eating could be eating here! If you are gluten-free, you have nothing to worry about here - the entire menu is gluten-free.. I always make my own bowl, but I never can decide between purple rice, the noodles and the veggie base. If I could order all three, I would - none of them ever let me down. I am only disappointed because I love these bases and always want more in my bowl. That being said, the bowl is a very hearty portion and meal for a normal human being. I just eat it so fast because I love it, that I feel I want more. I don't need more, I always just want more. It's better that I don't get more though! Their tofu is very tasty, but I prefer just veggies. Which ones? ALL of them - the kale slaw, kimchi, bean sprouts, corn, carrots, Korean radish, cucumbers - are delicious and fresh tasting. They never disappoint. Nothing is too salty or make my mouth tingle with too much intensity, so it's all perfectly blended into my bowl and my mouth. I then add on finishing touches like fresh cilantro. green onions, seaweed and sesame seeds on top of a hearty amount of carrot ginger dressing - so good! The price is fair for the amount of food you get, and you can add all the veggie toppings and finishing touches. So, it's a great deal! Yum! Others have noted that service can be slow here, so, just be patient. I feel many days eateries are understaffed, so, patience is always a virtue. I know when I make food it takes time, too. I'll be back- so good!

Nice high ceiling food court. Chipotle is adjacent to Seoul Spice. Got pic b/c of MD flag

I had started a 2024 photo series in late August, but I realized I never completed it. To represent August will be Seoul Spice. Prior to August 2024, I had gone to Seoul Spice in Montgomery Mall food court a few times. I feel it's one of the better choices in the food court. The bowls are delicious, an assembly line like Bibibop, CAVA (which has a location in the mall too), or Chipotle (which is also in mall, but never get because I live near a Chipotle). I normally get the beef bulgogi, but they have chicken & other options. The base is various rice, salad, etc. There are few other toppings to select from like corn, cucumber, etc. Then, you get a sauce, creamy sriracha is good. Staff is cordial. On Friday, August 16, 2024, I picked up my girlfriend as we were going to a comedy show close to Montgomery Mall and had a movie night at a friend's place close to here too. We were discussing options, and I said if I don't think of anything, we will just get food in the mall. We saw there was a Peruvian chicken place in the mall, but when we walked over there, it was a full service restaurant. We didn't have all that much time, and any Peruvian chicken I've gotten has just been counter service; so that was off-putting. I said to my g/f Seoul Spice is pretty good, and we both enjoyed our food. But my big compliant is that the portions aren't very much. Granted, we ate dinner slightly on the earlier side at 5:45, but we were kinda hungry again around 9, which was annoying. We ate snacks at the movie night we were at. You go to CAVA, Chipotle, & other places, it's a good amount and not hungry for a while. Other than that, the bowl is delicious & staff is nice, so it warrants a 4-star here.

Another awesome visit to Seoul Spice! Gina made me an awesome bowl. I try to give Seoul Spice my business whenever I can, because they make it easy to get great gluten free food. I am a Celiac. Make sure that if you need gluten free food to ask for it , so that they can see if they can take care of you. The gluten free chocolate chip cookies are awesome. Gina said I could use her picture in my review. It is my standing practice to include the bad as well as the good so as to do a better service to the Yelp community. I can't think of anything bad. If someone else can, please message me.

4.5 out of 5 1/8/2024 Was in the mall for something else and it was dinner time, I was hungry, and I didn't want to go home to cook. I saw this spot and other positive Yelp reviews and decided to try it. Ordered the chicken crunch bowl w half purple rice, half noodles and subbed half (regular) chicken and half beef. I had almost all of the veggies and 3 sauces on the side since I was unfamiliar with them (despite having experience with and liking Korean food). It was tasty and fresh and the beef was especially flavorful and tender. The red sauce was supposed to be very hot and it was not to me. I met someone (a stranger) in line after striking up a conversation we sat and talked and ate. I was so engrossed in conversation that I forgot to take a picture of the food!!! The manager and server Mary is open to questions and customers, receptive, and has a warm smile. Her son who also works there is gentle and kind and polite. I would try this again if I were in the mall at meal time.

It's Korean Chipotle. If the line at Chipotle is too long or you want something a little different, go to the next counter. The bulgogi meat was good though.

After a morning of shopping at the Westfield mall, we decided to have lunch at SeoulSpice. Their menu is gluten-free, which suits my wife. They offer vegan options that suit me. You can build your own bowl or go with one of their signature bowls. I chose to create my own. I chose rice for the base. Tofu braised and caramelized in kalbi marinade. Kimchl for the vegetable. Korean hot sauce, which is Gochujang paste with the sweet umami of miso. I topped the bowl with crispy garlic and a spicy "fire powder." The rice was light and fluffy. The tofu was nicely marinated and had a slight smoky flavor from the braise. The kimchi was a perfect choice for the vegetable. It added a crunchy texture to the soft and a sour contrast to the bland. The Korean hot sauce took this dish to the next level of flavor. Not overly spicy, it complimented the kimchi perfectly. The crispy garlic and fire powder gave this dish a final flavor burst. This was one of the best build your own bowl experience I have had.

Yum! This place is good for the soul! I was happy to find out that their entire menu is gluten-free. They have the option to build your own bowl or choose a signature bowl. I chose to build my own. I started with the rice noodles as my base, beef bulgogi as my protein, and for veggies, I chose carrots, corn, cucumber, and green onion. I chose the carrot ginger sauce. Once my bowl was created and paid for, we found a place to sit, and it was time to dig in. My bowl was fresh and delicious. The carrot ginger sauce complimented it well, and I didn't think I would eat the whole thing, but before I knew it, the bowl was empty. The service was great, and if I am ever in the area again, I will definitely stop again for lunch!

First time experience... definitely recommend trying this place out! I was shopping around and like always, I got hungry, but, I was not in the mood for anything fried or greasy. I saw SeoulSpice and it was something I had never heard of. I gave it a try and I was soooo pleased!! Popped my AirPods in, turned a show on, and went at it! FOOD- I'm not exactly sure what I got (late review)... I believe I got rice with bulgogi and almost all the toppings. SERVICE- It was OK. Nothing that stood out, they were busy so they were trying to keep the line moving.

The food was pretty good! However the service was very slow for a peak time and packed mall! It is food court in the mall. I did my own bowl but it felt like it was too many different flavors next time I will get the pre set bowls

OMG I am such a fan of this new spot and I mean I absolutely fell in love with my order! I created my own wrap order, I called it a giant sushi roll which worked out fantastic since I was craving something healthy and filling! The chicken was super savory and with every bite I was able to taste all the amazing fresh flavors. Service was great, handled with patience and care. I love the photos displayed and overall my experience of grabbing a quick fresh healthy bite was a success. Thank you to my new favorite go to spot at Montgomery Mall!

Wow so happy I discovered SeoulSpice! I'm always looking for quick but nice options for lunch on my workdays. I decided to give them a try and do no regret it!!! You can make your own bowl or burrito but I've been going with the bowl. I enjoyed the black rice, chicken, and several toppings they offer. You have to add the egg! I enjoyed it so much I made sure to go back twice.

Speaking of videos, the only reason I found this place was through a TikTok, which offered a rave review and showed a packed restaurant. I guess this is how I know FoodTok has officially reached the mainstream, because I'm seeing more and more staged scenarios and dubious opinions. The only thing anybody had anything positive to say about was the rice, which was technically perfect. So was the overhead music. Guess I expected a more authentic Korean experience, but the place was more or less an Americanized Korean bistro. Still, the foods seemed authentic! We ordered a few things to share... Mandu, Dolsot Bibimbap, and this Ssam Board. For drinks, my husband got some beer (?), and I got this fruity cocktail (??). First, the positives! The Mandu was really, really good...and quite meaty! The Dolsot Bibimbap was good in that it came with a generous load of fresh veggies. Now the problems. The Bulgogi in the Dolsot Bibimbap was problematic. It was a bit too fatty...and too chunky...and just hard to eat. It was also a bit bland! They should have cut it up a bit...or provided us with proper cutlery, like a fork and a knife! This is a pet peeve of mine...but nowadays, hardly any restaurant gives you the full set of cutlery. Just fork, or just chopsticks!! Then the Ssam Board. While it looked luscious, I personally had a problem with the meat. While I love Galbi, cuts of Galbi was all-out rare. The waiter didn't even ask for our preference, by the way. If I knew it'd be prepared that red, I would have ordered something else. If it was medium-rare, for instance, I might have liked this dish. My husband prefers a much more rare cut of meat than me, yet even he thought this was too red. Also, I expected something more than raddish for sides. Not sure if this "Board" was worth $42. We also tried this Black Sesame Ice Cream dessert. I loved the flavor...but nothing too special. Service was a bit off as well. While friendly at our table, our waiter wasn't too attentive...especially in the beginning. If he stopped by our table earlier, I might have gotten them to bring back the Ssam Board to cook the meat a bit more. Frankly, I was underwhelmed with the foods, the presentation, even the service. Overall, there were just too many things amiss (or just underwhelming??)...so much so that I doubt I'll pick this place again.

Don't take it from me...if you're on social media you'll see that food influencers have travelled from afar to rate these wings. And even they were in disbelief how amazing these wings were. The honey lemon pepper is not just a unique sounding flavor but the taste execution is something else. If you haven't tried KoChix don't walk...RUN! Service is always nice and they get orders ready fairly quickly for a fried wing joint. Ambiance isn't much to write about. Kind of your standard takeout place. We got the wings and stood outside and enjoyed them. The weather was nice. Bring plenty of paper towels and water to rinse your hands off.
