Great little food counter inside Mom's organic Market that sells salads, bowls, juices and baked goods. They have many vegan and vegetarian options, everything is organic and healthy. Got the vegan black bean quesadilla and mixed berry muffin. At 99 cents each, the muffin is a great price. It looks and tastes homemade, and not as sweet and "cakey" as other commercial bakery muffins. It was moist with sweetness from mostly the blueberries and cranberries (nothing dried, all fresh). Loved it and will buy again. The quesadilla was made to go on a hot skillet. The tortilla was perfectly toasted and crispy. It was stuffed with vegan cheese, black beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and corn. The beans were seasoned well (chipotle) and the vegan cheese and veggies complemented perfectly. I love how unique their vegetarian and vegan dishes are, and I'm glad to see such tasty food options for those of us who have a restricted diet. Although there were many great options to choose from, I decided to get the cauliflower tacos. It tasted delicious! It was a cauliflower and chickpea filling with lettuce, and the dressing was a delicious vegan crema and salsa verde. Tucked away inside MOM's grocery store is an unassuming vegan counter serving up delicious bowls of healthy goodness. I went on a whim and was surprised to see a line around dinner time on a Thursday. Word must be out! I got the Confetti Bowl: brown rice with black beans, mixed peppers, olives, corn, tomatoes and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and lots of jalapeños. The rice, beans and olives were soft, dark and warm and the veggies were bright and crispy. And just enough jalapeños to give it a little bite! Not a bad lunch spot...it's inside of Mom's, so you'll be able to get your full organic/fresh experience. I ordered the Kale Caesar. It was just ok. I loved the deep, vibrant color of the kale, and the shredded carrots, but it stops there. I'm definitely a salad lover, but I'm just not sure if I would visit again. My husband is extra picky due to being allergic to many things but he was quite impressed with the amount of food he received. A couple counter seats and the staff seating area is yours to use, as well. The menu is simple, but it's fresh, organic and cheap. Organic is not cheap - if it were, every salad joint in the area would have organic everything. They don't. This place does. I love them. They are so good! Not feeling creative? Pick something already pre-concocted for your pleasure. Feeling creative? Oh yes, mix it up - so many organic toppings to choose from for a salad (kale, baby greens, spinach), or, mix it up into a grain-based bowl of sorts (quinoa, farro, brown rice). They have more dressings than needed, as really, the fresh organic flavors of the food are what stand out! The chimichurri is good - but best when spicy! I love the flavors here! Allergies? Super easy to chat them up and they'll resolve your concerns. Toppings vary by season for specialties, but standard fare includes: broccoli, carrot, sweet potatoes, tofu, cranberries, nuts/seeds, tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions and a whole bunch of others! I have passed by this place so many times and I am so upset that I am just now discovering it. Naked Lunch, to me, is like a blend of sweetgreen with the food bar at whole foods. There are bowls, sandwiches, salads, a few baked goods and an occasional entree or two. As I have only ever had the bowls, I will focus on those. They have a menu of various bowl types with different veggies, legumes, dressings, etc. Or you can create your own. Everything is super fresh and the veggies are perfectly steamed. This place is great for vegans. Their vegan options are plentiful and the food is usually good. I've never had an issue with service, however I wish the rice wasn't so dry sometimes. The taste of the food can be a bit inconsistent at times, but its usually not bad. I'm a new vegan, so I've been looking for more vegan options and the convenience of this spot has been nice. I just wish the food quality was consistently good. I also love their muffins, but they're always cold and they seem to run out quickly. If you're willing to risk dry rice, I suggest going for the Lin bowl or sushi bowl. The black bean burger was also better than expected. Easy to see the market from Randolph Road and has lots of parking. The food is SSSOOO FRESH and delicious. I got the Crowder bowl and asked not to have it steamed, dressing on the side. I also got 2 juices, The Pink Lady, kombucha on the side and another with carrots, apples and ginger. SO FRESH and HEALTHY!! Love that I can pick up a few groceries along with a great lunch. Would have given it a 5 star but it is organic pricey. The small juice is $6.50 each and the bowl is $9.50. I asked for a few additonal things which cost $.75 extra per item. This is a review on customer service. I would rate the food at this location had they ever taken more order successfully. I arrived around 8pm. There were two ladies in front of me, one lady was attempting to get the staff to understand her order but the staff kept making her order wrong. The Lady Closest to me let me order ahead of her as she was still deciding on what she wanted. The staff asked me for my order and I said I'd like a Crowder Bowl exactly how it is made on the menu. The staff began to make the order and then a guy comes in and they tell him they are closed. The guy is a bit....persistent and they give in an start making his order. Here is where I have a problem. The guy that came in after tey had closed had a super complicated and significantly bigger order than everyone in front of him but had somehow captivated their attention so completely that he magically worked his way up to the cash register and was paying for his food before everyone that was before him. This is the kicker, one of the staff then asks me if I had ordered yet. I stated that I had ordered a Crowder bowl about 10 minutes ago. They still somehow failed to make my extremely simple order. I left 5 minutes later Learn how to prioritize customers based on the order that they came instead of just having pure chaos in the line. I always go to the Dc location and have a great experience there. I'll probably stop by this location again..but it would be a shame to have to rate this establishment with one star twice. read more

Salads, soups & a solid amount of tasty, freshly prepared organic veggie meals make Naked Linch a great value & a gift-send! I believe the meals are vegan too! (But Pls check). I'm addicted to their Cauliflower tacos! 3 soft double tortillas filled w/ mildly spicy breaded cauliflower & crunchy shredded cabbage, w/ a tasty creamy white sauce, delish!! There's a choice of a 2nd sauce, green cilantro (wonderful,) & Buffalo sauce (the type that usually comes w/ wings.) If taking out to eat later, consider asking for the sauce on the side (their SOP is minimized packaging & waste.) There's a different homemade soup each day, the mushroom barley is ! All the soups have been hearty & delicious.! I like spicy food, but warning, the sweet potato stuffed w/ quinoa & veggies was super spicy! The staff is great! Let me start off with a disclaimer: I am not a vegetarian. I'm going to be honest and say that I was skeptical of coming here at first because I typically don't lean towards vegetarian options (I like eating meat way too much to give it up lol). Anyway, I find it crazy how I could find a place that caters specifically to vegetarian diets so delicious! You can either make your own veggie bowl or you can select one of their specialty ones and add extra vegetables for an upcharge. I had the confetti bowl, which consists of: brown rice, black beans, parmesan cheese, peppers, olives, tomatoes, corn, and cilantro, all topped off with a lime-jalapeño dressing, which I found to be pretty tasty. They toss everything into a huge metal bowl, mix it up, and put that big portion of vegetables and rice in a biodegradable box for you to enjoy. There was a good amount of everything in my bowl and they didn't drown it in dressing. My only gripe about this place is the fact that it's located inside the MOM's Organic Market and there's a limited number of seats in the dining area, which are usually taken by people and their shopping carts. It can get cramped, so I would probably skip eating there and take everything to-go. It's surprising to me how a bunch of veggies mixed in with rice and a dressing could be so appetizing while filling at the same time! My favorite lunch place in Rockville because it is totally organic! Too bad no meat protein but they have plenty of vegetarian protein options with quinoa, beans, eggs, etc. Great place to get something healthy. Sad they recently raised prices a dollar but...I just want them to stay in business! My fave choices: Jammed Yam, Black Bean Burger, Lin Bowl Tips: You can get any vegetable steamed as a side! Free filtered water is around the corner in the cooler, or 25 cent iced tea. Seating is through what looks like the storage room (you can see it from the street if you look in the window). Was browsing the Mom's grocery store when I chanced upon Naked Lunch - they are nestled in one corner of the store by the checkout registers. They have a simple and small menu with some good choices. All ingredients used are top quality and made fresh. They have quite a few combinations available for juice and salads. I ordered the Moler Bowl with black beans, rice pilaf, and steamed veggies. The veggies were steamed to order and were fresh. Dish was quite filling and tasted good too! They have limited seating - 6 bar stools and a 3 picnic tables outside for folks to sit and eat. Staff was friendly but service was a tad bit slow, as if the employees were in some kind of slow motion movie :) read more

I also had one of their daily juice specials--carrots, ginger, and two other ingredients that I cannot remember, but I liked it. I agree with Angel W.--staff at Naked Lunch are a bit unprofessional. It took a while to get my juice. Also, I noticed them run out of quinoa, and the staff did not take any initiative to make more until someone asked. There were at least 4-5 people behind the counter. I absolutely love Naked Lunch. I am on a mission to try everything on the menu. The first time I went I tried the Caesar Kale salad. They give you enough to last for lunch for the next day. I was nice and full. It wasn't the MOST flavorful. I had to add a little twist to it but even without my twist it was good, fresh and clean eating certified. The next time I went I had the Moler bowl and the Caribbean butternut squash soon. The Moler bowl was pretty decent. For a place that uses all natural ingredients and fresh ingredients I think it was great. Next time I'd get Parmesan cheese instead of the cheese Feta. I think the Parmesan would set it off. THAT CARIBBEAN BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP WAS BOMB DOT COM. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm thinking about getting the stuffed yam next time. We'll see! Naked Lunch is a great place to stop in for a quick healthy lunch, especially when grocery shopping since it's right inside the Mom's grocery store. Their menu includes sandwiches, salads, bowls and even cauliflower steak which looks delicious! They also have a small juice bar and bakery items. I've never tried their bakery items just because nothing has ever really looked that appealing to me. But the food is good. I like the "create your own" bowl or salad options. They have great fresh ingredients to choose from. I mainly love their juices. My favorites are their signature drinks; Green Tea Glory & Pink Lady. The prices are on the higher end. Customer service needs improvement. The employees don't really smile when I've interacted with them. And they are also VERY slow. Thank god for a place like Naked! Now I know I can get a healthy and really filling take out meal that's close to my house! I'm a soy-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, low carb vegan (i know) and this met all my needs perfectly. I decided to get a custom bowl: brown rice (i was feeling carb-y), cauliflower, black olives, cherry tomatoes, sweet potato, and spinach, all steamed together, with the garlic-cilantro dressing. I was already satisfied before even eating because it was freaking huge! I was so surprised by what $8 and some change got me. As for the taste, it was pretty good! Nothing I couldn't easily make at home but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I feel it would have been tasteless were it not for the black olives that gave almost each bite a burst of salty flavor, but the warm juicy cherry tomatoes were also delightful.
