I've been so happy for this San Diego chain to be trickling into OC and this location is super close to me so that makes me even happier! Now I can get my better buzz fix anytime I want :) if you haven't been, you definitely need to come check it out. The drinks are all so yummy, I love that they have the milk alternatives and I can make my drinks less sweet. They have mobile ordering which is always super convenient. I also love when coffee shops have food options too. Not only do they have pastries, but they also have sandwich and toast options. The better breakfast sandwich is delish! For non coffee drinkers, they do have smoothies and açaí bowls as well so there's something for everyone! The more the merrier, and the merrier it definitely is in Fullerton with Better Buzz Coffee. I've been to the San Diego locations and loved them so it was exciting to hear that they have expanded to a few locations in OC now. I came here on a gloomy Sunday morning and grabbed a few items: winter chai latte, mango energizer smoothie, chili crisp breakfast wrap, and almond butter toast. The food and drinks were slightly underwhelming, I'd give it a 3/5 at best. Winter chai was probably the best flavored and overall item because it had a good strong chai flavor. The mango energizer was a less a smoothie, and more of a slushie/icee drink that you could probably get from a convenience store. The wrap while is good as a just a breakfast wrap, we failed to find any chili crisp in it. The almond butter toast which also came with jam was decent, but not exactly worth the $6.50. While they lack in those items, they made it up in enthusiasm. We sat by the front and people-watched as orders were taken quickly and friendly. We also didn't wait long for our items. They came out in maybe 5 minutes? This place offers a drive through, and while it does look quite long, it seems like they get through them quick. The parking lot is also quite big with plenty of spots. Speaking of plenty, there are also an ample amount of seating both indoors and outdoors. There are outlets scattered around the coffee shop, so if you wanted to work here you could -- but keep in mind it's quite loud. read more

Life may be better buzzed, but sometimes the buzz isn't as good as you were hoping. I've been to Better Buzz one other time in San Diego, but was excited to hear one was opening in Fullerton! I work as a barista for another coffee shop, so I totally understand how hectic it is, especially since they're a new location. However, I was left rather disappointed with my experience. My friend and I hopped through the drive thru and got our orders taken. I ordered a snickerdoodle latte with almond milk, half sweet, and cinnamon cold foam. I got a regular size--my friend got the same with oat milk, no foam, but a large. I also got a cheese danish and she got an avocado toast. We get our drinks and I noticed I received a large, which is fine, but it didn't have the foam on top. I mentioned it to the worker asking if it was right since I got a regular (I've never seen the foam before so I assumed maybe it melted? My fault for not advocating more) but she said it was. The drink also looked darker (and drinks usually do with almond milk) so I just kind of accepted it but im disappointed that I paid for something I didn't receive. That was whatever, again, I get it, but the pastry I got was definitely NOT a cheese danish. But at that point, we had already driven away and were in a time crunch. Again, I was just bummed I paid for something I didn't get. If they ran out of the pastry I asked for, that's totally fine, but I wish they told me instead of automatically putting something else. Luckily for my friend, her avocado toast was fine. I don't know if I'll personally return here, but it seems like they're doing well, so hope they can thrive and bring business to Fullerton. read more

The drinks here are consistent and delicious, something I could never guarantee I would get from Starbucks. I go to this location daily and while it can be very busy, it is worth it. The manager and staff are super welcoming. I get the cinnamon cream cold brew everyday but am slowly working my way through their other drinks with the free drinks from their rewards app. The iced vanilla bean latte, coconut best drink ever, and mocha buzz are yummy. In addition to coffee they have people chefing it up in the back making fresh food. The Elote Avocado toast is 10/10! The location is super cute inside with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They also have really cute merch! If you have ever been disappointed by the quality and consistency of your Starbucks drink try this place once. You won't be disappointed. read more

Very good coffee that isn't watered down! What I love about better buzz is the drinks actually tasting good and flavorful. Not just watered down. Wait time was quick fairly quick. But it can be packed in the drive thru line. Be prepared for a long wait! Menu has a good variety of coffee and tea. Also had the ham and cheese croissant. The sandwich was a bigger portion size than I thought! Makes the 7 dollar price tag actually worth it, IMO. Inside the coffee shop it was nice and clean! Everything was in order, no messy tables and their little ship center was neat and looked very presentable! Service gets a 10/10. The employees were super friendly and quick getting your food and drinks to you! They even make sure you're using the rewards program to get your free goodies. Love this location! Our Favorite Coffee Shop - Hands Down! Better Buzz has quickly become our go-to coffee spot -- we're regulars and proudly visit at least three times a week! We used to make stops at the Temecula and San Diego County locations whenever we traveled, but having one so close to our neighborhood now is truly a game-changer. For us, it's non-negotiable when we want coffee. Ryan and Jose, the managers, are absolute gems -- hardworking, kind, and always making sure things run smoothly. As self-proclaimed coffee snobs who've tried just about every coffee shop in Fullerton, Better Buzz always comes out on top. The drinks are consistently perfect -- I always get mine half sweet with a sprinkle of cinnamon powder on top, and it hits every time! The pastries are just as amazing -- the seasonal raspberry lemon loaf is a big favorite in our house (even our two-year-old can't get enough), and the food is fresh, flavorful, and totally customizable to your taste. Very hyped opening and a line out the door (although that's just three orders deep, so it's really not a long wait), so I thought why not give it a try. Unfortunately, it wasn't really worth it. I got: Best drink ever - it's an americano with their signature dairy free vanilla powder. Barista recommended 3/4 sweet. I took their word for it and... it tasted like they poured hot coffee over ice and imagined that there was flavor inside. Tbh, I don't think even full sweetness would've fixed this. My guess is they added too much water and not enough ice. Mint infused iced coffee - it has heavy cream on top. I'm lactose intolerant and there was no mention on the physical menu posted outside (attached photo for reference). They said oat would be a great substitute, so I went with that. Sadly it was also quite watery and flavorless. The place is spacious and has a nice, contemporary feel to it. Baristas are friendly and happy to answer questions, so I think those points merit a star. That said, the main draw is supposedly their drinks, and this place does not meet the mark. read more

Overall my drink was a 4/5 and it was probably due to me ordering the drink wrong. I got an ube cold brew and it was bitter. Perhaps I was supposed to ask for sweetener? I'm not sure but it was okay. A lot of my friends were posting and talking about this place so I decided to finally stop by and try it. We were greeted once arriving and the staff was super nice when picking items to order. Their menu is a lot so we got alittle overwhelmed. I ended up settling on the seasonal coconut matcha and their turkey pesto sandwich. My boyfriend got the chili crisp crunch wrap and their "coconut best drink ever". The area is pretty chill and a handful of people working on their laptops and hanging out. So we sat by the window and enjoyed our drinks and food. Everything came out extremely quick so that was good! My matcha kinda scared me when I picked it up though because it was that watery minty green color that you DONT want to see with matcha. I mixed it up and gave it a shot, it mostly just tasted like coconut milk and the thought of matcha. There wasn't much flavor other than that. The turkey pesto sandwich was alright :/ There also was no flavor at all so I added some hot sauce but it still wasn't very good. Honestly I'd go next door to Sprouts and get the same thing with more flavor for half the price. My boyfriend said his wrap didn't have much flavor either and was dry. His coffee wasn't bad but anything to write home about. We expected alittle more since everyone was hyping this place up like crazy and we paid $35 for our stuff. Came here because of the hype expecting amazing coffee since the wait time was crazy and the lines were long. First visit I got the "best coffee ever" iced and it was completely basic. I only drank it cause it was paid for. 2nd visit I got the horchata latte and it was honestly nasty. It did not taste at all like an horchata latte and my fiancé mentioned it tasted like more like it could have been the Moroccan item on their menu (maybe they messed up? Idk) I asked to switch the drink and they were very accommodating and happily let me get a different drink, they suggested the vanilla bean latte which was basic to begin with but I asked for more syrup and it made it better but truthfully not enough to make me want to go back to get another one. I visited this coffee shop this morning and had a very disappointing experience. I specifically asked for whipped cream when I placed my order, but it wasn't added. When I mentioned it to the barista who handed me my drink, instead of addressing my request professionally, he made a joke and laughed, along with several other staff members behind the bar, about how this isn't Starbucks. It made the situation incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. While I understand that working at a coffee shop can be fun, customer service should always come first.
