I found this place online for breakfast and visited here with a friend. I ordered a royal milk tea and a lox and cream cheese bagel. The royal milk tea was decent but not as flavorful as I had hoped. Since I had asked for less sweetness, that may have reduced the flavor. I did enjoy the bagel as it had fresh lox. The capers were a lovely garnish since they definitely enhanced the flavors from the cream cheese and lox. The cafe is quite cozy with its homey structure. It's quite inconspicuous if driving past the cafe, but as we walked toward it, we noticed customers using their patio. We were greeted as we walked up to order using the kiosk. A few of the tables have handwritten notes underneath clear glass. I noticed many heartfelt messages that sparked my imagination as to how the writers must've felt. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere with chatter from local customers who seemed to know the owners well. We had also played a card game after eating, so this cafe is good for that as well. The owners were friendly and even took our plates and cups once we were finished. There's very limited parking right next to the cafe, so I had to make use of residential streets. However, it's worth making a trip here to try this coffeehouse. Also, It's interesting how they open early at 7 am per Google Maps. Lu Lu Coffee Cafe is easy to miss. Although it's located on a major street, it's tucked behind bushes and housed in a converted business, i know the busts and ivy are to give privacy but obscures the business. There's only 3 parking spaces do that also keeps the place inconvenient. The interior is absolutely charming, with a cozy nostalgic vibe. I especially loved the community wall where visitors can leave positive notes and messages, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. As for the coffee, it was good but not particularly memorable. We ordered a latte and a Vietnamese coffee (their version), so it's not strong. Both the latte and ice coffee were enjoyable, but neither stood out The owners are such a kind and friendly couple that it's hard not like this place. Found this cute little coffee shop recently so stopped by to get some work done on a random weekday. There's a super tiny lot on the side so most likely it will be full so you'll have to look for street parking. The space inside looks a bit like a house. They have a kiosk you can order from. There's a couple small tables as well as bigger communal tables. Restrooms are available as well. For the food, the bagels looked pretty good so I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and it did not disappoint! I also was intrigued by the Korean style coffee so I opted to get it at half sweet since they said it is on the sweeter side. I used to go to veronese cafe down the street and was really sad when they closed down, but I have been coming here for a few weeks consecutively on Sundays after church and come to find out the daughter of the previous owner of veronese cafe owns this establishment! Coffee was super strong as my heart catapulted through the roof but it was still enjoyable. Service was super warm and friendly. I was greeted upon entry and told to order on the tablet and to let them know if I have any questions. I signed up for rewards but couldn't exit the screen to get to the next step. Another barista ended up helping me exit the screen and then I was able to continue my order from there. Once I placed my order, I was asked if I wanted it hot or iced. Within a few minutes, my drink was handed to me and was thanked for my order. Comfy and cozy atmosphere with nice decor. The exterior and interior is pretty much like a home. A few dining tables inside with a lot of mementos under the glass top. I couldn't say the environment was serene as one of the patrons was talking on their phone loudly but I was there to grab and go anyway. There's also seating outside. I rarely go to new coffee shops these days but decided to try this place after seeing Timmy S's review. What drew me to this place is the fact it roasts its beans in-house. It just has one type at the moment, but it's quite good. The owner said it's Brazil natural, medium roast. I got a great pour over out of it, which is why I decided to come back again today with my family. My wife and I ordered its Vanilla Latte and Hojicha Latte. Both were smooth with excellent flavor. Really love the eclectic decor and vibe of this place, and the owners are very personable. I love this place. This coffee shop is located in a house. It's kept as a house to create a warm, welcoming, homey, comfortable vibe...and it works. The interior has several tables scattered about and both inside and out are decorated with eclectic items and antiques. Many of the items are uniquely interesting, cute, and just plain cool. There is also seating outside both in the front yard and back yard. Once you order and pay on the kiosk (in the area where the kitchen would be) you take a seat (inside or out) and your order will be brought to you. I ordered a hot Madagascar vanilla latte and a cinnamon-caramel croffle, then mosied outside to take a seat under a tree in the backyard area. The owners here are the sweetest people on the planet. They really care about their customers, whether you're a regular or brand new. I've never experienced that level of welcoming at any business. The latte was heaven. I've had superb vanilla lattes before but this one was flawless. The coffee was exquisite (they roast their own beans on-site), the rich vanilla flavor wasn't overly sweet, and was blended at the perfect ratio with the coffee. The temperature at which it was served made it immediately drinkable. It was so smooooooooth! The croffle was quite tasty. I really enjoyed it. They also put a mini berry croffle on my plate, I guess as a free sample, and I loved it (and will order a full-sized one next time...which means their clever plan worked! haha) I sat for a while, relaxing in the quietness and serene feeling I had while sitting under the tree. Realizing how much I enjoyed the roast of their coffee, I went back inside and bought a bag of beans to take home. Every once in a while a person finds a place they really connect with on multiple levels. For me, this is one of those places. Both the iced vanilla latte and the hot mocha we ordered half-sweet (since everything in this state is over sweetened). They both were well-balanced and exactly as ordered. The only drawback was the ordering system is all touch-screen interface. This was easy to navigate, but we feel like it takes away from the quaint local coffee shop experience people look for when they come to a place like this. If you're going east on Commonwealth, look for La Aguila Market and make a left into the alley and there are a few parking spots there. Use La Aguila as your landmark because it's literally an old Kraftsman style house and it blends in with the neighborhood. I've driven by LuLu and I'd see the banner that said there was a coffee shop and paid no mind to it because I thought someone was serving coffee out of their house and wasn't interested. Downtown Fullerton has SO MANY coffee shops to choose from and I already had a few staples that I'd go to. I finally visited and it's a vibe. I could not recommend this place more if you need to regroup or recharge and slow down. There is another coffee place, very similar concept, literally up the street on Commonwealth, but something about the smaller space here, with the decor, the plants and the outside seating, makes it feel like I'm at a house in the south or something. I haven't worked from here, but I know they hold the space for co-working or it's a great place to have silent sustained reading with friends or by yourself. This past weekend I wanted a bagel sandwich and coffee to start my day and considered going to Panera but after a quick search on Yelp, LuLu Coffee Bar appeared. I ordered via their website a Lox sandwich and decided to try the Korean coffee and got a phone call five minutes later. I believe it was LuLu herself? She said I forgot to choose my bagel type and called to ask me which one I'd like and offered my options over the phone. I went with the everything bagel and stopped by 10 minutes later to pick-up. I'd never been there before and she knew who I was and what I ordered and left it out for me to pick-up on the table. I've never had Korean coffee before and the description said it was similar to VIetnamese coffee, but Korean is much better in my opinion. It's the right amount of sweetness, not as bitter and easier on my stomach. I'm actually hooked on it now. With the bagel sandwich, they don't skimp on anything and use fresh red onion and a great amount of cream cheese. I ate the Lox bagel sandwich before a long drive to Riverside and was full and not really hungry the rest of the day. I tried the pepperoni bagel sandwich yesterday for a late lunch and it filled me up for the entire evening. SUSTENANCE! The owners are super polite and I can tell they care about presentation and taste and the space is always very clean. I don't want to share this place with people because it will get popular and be crowded, but it's worth your mental health to visit here, especially if you need to get away from the norm, enjoy great coffee and have a hearty snack served with love. read more

I opted for a simple vanilla latte and my husband a matcha latte. While it took about 10-15 minutes for them to be ready, absolutely worth the wait.
