OOOO. MMMM. GGGG -- A sweet shop coming soon!!!
    Jenny C.

Stopped into Bags of Cakes for a matcha and couldn't resist picking up a pastry to split with my friend. The matcha was smooth and enjoyable (good grade ceremonial), and the pastry was the perfect treat to go with it. They have a small seating area inside, which is usually pretty busy, but I lucked out today and was able to grab a table. It's a great spot to relax with a quick drink, and I always enjoy coming here for the matcha.

This place is great for a coffee date with so many baked goods!! Their latte was creamy and delicious. They also have sliced cakes and whole cakes that you can preorder or pick up day of. I just tried the crème brûlée pastry and oh my! The sugary chicken and filled cream was light and just the right amount of sweetness and fluff!! Yum!

Food & Drinks: the Matcha Latte uses ceremonial grade matcha, regular milk, sugar; it was not too sweet and not too stringent; the Kouign Amann (pronounced "kween uh-mahn") was sugary layered goodness Service: friendly service and everything made-to-order Design: interiors is very modern with light colors and light wood paneling and white marble countertops; spacious center island shared counter-height seating with banquette and regular table seating on against the wall Overall: if you want great bakery items with a great espresso or matcha drink in the north Fullerton area, then check out this place

Since I was already in OC on Sunday, June 28th, I visited Bag of Cakes Bakery with my mom, which is a place we both absolutely love. The bread and cakes here are so, so incredibly delicious, and I'm a huge fan. We stopped by that day and bought some pastries, and seriously, every single one of them was so fresh and amazing. They make the absolute best bread and cakes! My mom also ordered a coffee--a hot Americano--but that was a bit on the sour side, so it wasn't really our thing. Aside from that, the interior is cute and pretty, the shop is spotless, all of the staffs are super friendly, and above all, every single pastry and cake is just so delicious. I love it. One thing, though: since people said it's located in Fullerton, I thought it would be close to the Fullerton Hannam Chain or H Mart that we always go to. But turns out, we had to drive another 20 minutes to get there.

There's plenty of seating inside and parking. There's 2 lines, one for the bakery and another for drinks. Menu: - Banana Pudding Matcha Latte - artificial banana but light, strong matcha, thin drink overall - Strawberry Matcha Latte - haven't had a good one in awhile, puree so good, fresh, balanced with matcha. HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Garlic Sea Salt Bread - strong garlic, soft fluffy bread, buttery, not overly salted - Matcha Cruffin - light creme whip, buttery croissant, cream inside

I visited this place last Sunday. Even though it's a bit far from my house, the bread, coffee, and everything else were delicious, well-priced, and super fresh. The interior, parking, and restrooms were all great too. I went during a supposedly less busy hour, but it was still packed. Despite that, all the staff members were incredibly kind and friendly. Next time I'm in the OC area, I'm definitely stopping by again!

Definitely top tier MATCHA here and I will definitely be returning! SO DELICIOUS! You are able to adjust the sweetness level, which is nice: 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% or 0. Also, they offer both 16oz and 24oz sizes here! Alternative milks are also available for an additional $1 charge. There are a few different tables inside and a few tables outside. The place is usually pretty busy but service is friendly and quick. Something I missed the first time I came: they're CLOSED MONDAYS. Whoops! So I came back on a Saturday and was excited to see all the different pastries they offered and to try their matcha. In conclusion, I left happy and wanting to return!

I love the matcha at this place, I'm a matcha fanatic and the banana pudding matcha is one of the best ones I've had, I always come back for it. I love the variety of pastry options, it's fast because everything is ready, and they have both sweet and savory options. I love their savory treats, the bacon egg muffin is 10/10 the pizza croissant and hotdog croissant are both 9/10 and their filled round croissants are very yummy if you're looking for a sweet treat. It is a busy cafe so maybe not the best work place but lots of seating spots and outdoor seating available too, cute cafe overall.

Stopped by Bags of Cake for the first time and was so impressed! I tried mostly the salt breads and they were all so delicious. We got a couple of matcha drinks that also hit the spot. The shop itself was cute and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and helpful. If you're a matcha lover, I highly recommend giving it a try. I'll definitely be back to try more of their desserts!

Oh my! I bought the Red Velvet Cake whole, and it's just so bad since I can't stop eating it. It's so delicious and it's not overly sweet, no tooth ache happening hahaha, it's so yum! My husband said it's worth the price! It is worth..

I looooove Bag of Cakes!! If there were a location closer to home, I'd probably go every week! The pastries are delicious, and their matcha is yummy too! My friend and I usually just get the regular matcha latte, and we're pretty content with it. Out of the pastries I've tried during my visits, one that I was eeehh about was the matcha roll- it was a bit on the drier side, so I dont think I'll be getting it again. Shop is clean and has plenty of seating available. Staff is also friendly and very quick with orders!

Scones, creme brulee donut, green onion bread

I really enjoyed the pastries here! Not only are they pretty to look at, their pastries are also not too sweet, and I personally find them to be delicious. However, this place is definitely a hut or miss depending on your personal taste. For my mom, their green onion bread was too dense and fatty for her taste and she got tired of eating it after a couple of bites. I enjoyed the creme brulee donut which was not too sweet. But if you don't like a little burnt sugar taste at the top, then I would say to avoid getting this. On the other hand, my sister got the scones and she really liked it! I tried a bite and it was surprisingly delicious. I once had a scone at another bakery and it was stale and hard, but this one had a nice texture to it. The price of the pastries were on the pricier side though, which is something to consider. I only go here once in a while to treat myself. On the other hand, the service was just okay. They did not rush us, but also did not seem very welcoming or friendly. I would say it's definitely worth giving this place a try if you're in the area!

They have a huge selection of pastries/ cakes. I love the strawberry shortcake. They have a self order kiosk and register. For drinks, I usually get their matcha, it's pricier for a smaller amount compared to what you can get elsewhere in oc but better than La prices. The matcha isn't as strong, so if you like a sweeter matcha, I recommend bag of cakes . There's plenty of seating and I love the displays.

Why offer so many flavors if you don't get a choice? I called again the next day and thankfully got a different worker who shared my confusion with me about the first worker. They wrote down my order (I got 4 different flavors) and I was set to pick up. The day I picked up my cupcakes, I noticed they looked different from the online pictures (but whatever, they still looked cute). I also noticed they gave me a wrong flavor (I ordered chocolate whiskey and they gave me caramel something instead). I made the mistake known to the cashier but she looked so confused and said "yeah.. thats the chocolate whiskey" which it clearly wasn't because there was caramel slathered on top and did not match the online description and the in person display. I showed the cashier the description and referenced the in person display and the cashier still seemed confused and said "yeah... thats the chocolate whiskey. What would you like me to do?" And I had to spell it out for her and say "take these caramel ones out and replace them with the ones I ordered" and had to point and all and the cashier just said "oh okay." It was super weird and frustrating. Anyways, taste wise- the alcohol infused cupcakes don't really have a flavor of alcohol and the batter kind of tastes like the box mix. Super strange experience for mid to below mid tasting cupcakes.

The bakery is bright, clean, and well-organized, with plenty of pastries beautifully displayed. It has a cozy café feel that's great for catching up with a friend or taking a small break during the day. The staff was friendly and efficient, and even though there was a steady flow of customers, the line moved quickly. This visit, I tried the seasonal S'mores Frappe, and it honestly surprised me. I expected it to be overly sweet, but it was much more balanced than I anticipated. I actually ended up liking it more than Starbucks' version because you could still taste the chocolate and graham cracker flavors without it feeling like a sugar overload. I also picked up a few pastries. The S'mores Pastry was my favorite--it had great chocolate flavor, and the little dollop of toasted marshmallow on top was such a fun finishing touch that tied everything together. The only surprise was the Croissant Donut. It has a tangy lemon filling, but that wasn't mentioned in the name, so it definitely caught me off guard. If you're expecting a classic cream or custard filling, just know there's a citrus twist inside. It's not bad by any means, but I wish it had been labeled more clearly so I knew what to expect. Overall, Paris Baguette continues to be one of my favorite bakery chains when I'm craving pastries and specialty drinks. Between the welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, and seasonal menu, it's always worth stopping in to see what's new.

I didn't try the custard cream bread because my younger brothers ate it, so I can't really comment on the taste. I also haven't tried the pecan pie yet. Lately, Dubai chocolate cookies have been extremely popular and trendy, so I asked whether this bakery had them. They said yes, so I bought one for $6.75. There was no pistachio flavor at all, and no pistachios inside--just a very ordinary chocolate pie. That part was extremely disappointing. Also, yesterday I asked the bakery if they could provide paper plates so we could cut and share the pastries, but she said they didn't have any. Other bakeries usually provide paper plates, so it was disappointing as well.
