This was my first time seeing this better buzz after the remodels for terminal 1 at the San Diego Airport. I wish all airports had a Better Buzz ! Location was clean and bright! There was no line it was in the afternoon when I traveled and ordered my go to Banana Pudding Best Drink ever which was delicious! As I normally order better buzz the prices were pretty high plus a surcharge . My total was about $10 for a regular size not large drink. For the options at the airport , you can't beat better buzz coffee . Just be aware of the higher prices. They also have some kiosk to the side where you can also order from! read more

Better Buzz is the perfect spot to grab a coffee or pastry before catching your flight! This location is in Terminal 1 of the San Diego airport, just past the TSA security area. Because of their location they get pretty busy since they are the first thing people see after entering the terminal, but their team works pretty hard to get drinks done quickly. The only reason I'm not giving them a full five stars is because I thought the coffee tasted pretty average for the cost. Also, I ordered a cold brew and probably half of the cup was ice. However, I ordered a pastry for my kid which was delicious. My husband had better luck with his coffee order, so I guess I just ordered the wrong item. Anyhow! This location is just past security in the new terminal 1 of San Diego airport. Fast service once you order, but took a bit of time for someone to come back to the counter to take orders while a line was forming. Also the prices were ridiculously high even by airport standards, plus there is an additional 2% airport surcharge on top of the elevated price. I got a honey latte which was $8 base plus $1 for oat milk. It tasted fine, but not worth $9. For food, I got the better breakfast sandwich, which decent and filling, but also not really worth $14.50. Also the staff member making food orders was just slapping things into containers and the pickup for food orders is separate from the pickup for drinks -- so if you order both, make sure you listen for your name at both counters. All in all, it is a decent coffee place, but there are more options in the terminal. read more

Great for airport coffee and breakfast. I got the avocado toast which came with a salad. The service was not super fast but I had plenty of time. The seating area looked like it needed to be cleaned but I took my food to the gate. Not a bad deal for the amount of food. The coffee was great. read more

Tried this place for the first time, while traveling back home. Located inside the San Diego airport, so noise level was pretty loud. I did ask the cashier what was a good coffee to try. She suggested their Best Drink Ever. But I decided to try the Hazelnut Divinity. It was tasty and I enjoyed it. I've been here twice and it's always nice to see a Better Buzz greet you after TSA. The line goes pretty quickly, even if the line is kinda long sometimes. The food wait is average, sometimes I get it quick and sometimes there's a wait. Like another Yelpie stated, I looked at Better Buzz app and I was unable to find this location on the app, therefore, you can't use your Buzz points at this location. Hopefully this gets fixed since you can use your Starbucks app at the Terminal 2 location. Drinks are pretty good. I got my usual Best Drink Ever and an avocado toast. Ingredients were fresh and the toast was visually appealing, so much so that another customer said, "That looks good." The pickup process can be quite confusing since the servers name is also on your order sticker which causes some ppl to inadvertently think that it's their name on the food. If you're in a rush, you may accidentally grab someone else's order. This almost happened when someone picked up their order and then another person asked to look at the label on their food, which had her name on it but it was the servers name on it instead. Location is bright and clean and the pastry case was adequately stocked. I would stop by again only because I love Better Buzz coffee. read more

Dare I say that this is one of the best coffee shops I've ever seen at an airport? I was incredibly impressed with all the different options. I got a very decadent, coconut coffee, frozen drink, and it definitely had the hit of caffeine and sugar I was looking for. It really felt like a treat after I found out my flight was delayed. You can order on a kiosk, which I appreciate for convenience, but obviously isn't as personal. If you're going for the personal touch, there is the traditional cashier. After getting out of TSA (Terminal 2) this Better Buzz is what you will see once you get out! Coffee? I think yes! I self ordered through the kiosk, and got the "best banana pudding drink ever". Wait was about 5-10 minutes and they were super busy!! kudos to yall for staying on top of it. Place was clean, had napkins/utensils/condiments for grabs. Yahoo! Terminal One is finally open and better than ever! Immediately after exiting security I was looking for coffee and there was a giant Better Buzz. The design and esthetics are welcoming and bright. It was clear where to order, easy to see the menus and plenty of space to wait for your drink. I believe they also offered a "mobile order" option, although I didn't use it. This spot had been open less than a month and there were a few hiccups (some employees still trying to navigate the menu screen and they ran out of cow's milk) but I believe both will shortly be straightened out and they'll be functioning at a high level in no time. My larger cold brew with almond milk was made carefully (I watched to make sure I wasn't given another milk or they skimped on the coffee, filling it mostly with ice) and they were careful to give me 'light ice' as I'd asked and plenty of cold brew with a splash of almond milk. It tasted great and I would highly recommend grabbing yourself something next time you're in the NEW TERMINAL ONE! read more

But Better Buzz greets you right after TSA, so of course 6:30am we need some coffee. A modest line but it went quickly to order, then another short wait for our toasted bagel, hot mocha, and my drip coffee was already in-hand! Their house drip is nice and smooth and really doesn't need sugar or cream, wife is not particular so she was happy too with her mocha and their bagel is just a bagel but they do have a nice selection of pastries (sorry no pic), maybe need to try if I find out the pastries are supplied from a local bakery. Got a three seed avocado toast (which I regularly eat from better buzz) and the bread wasn't toasted at all. What I received was avocado spread and chunks of butter on limp bread. Totally get it mistakes happen, I waited until they had a minute and asked if it maybe forgot to get toasted, showed them the bread and the guy on warming said "I toasted it". My fiancée went up to the counter to ask politely for it to be remade, two of the girls on bar were talking sh*t about it and they told him "it's going to be burnt if we toast it again". I legit work at a coffee shop and have for 5 years, if something isn't right just make it again. I'd recommend talking about customers a little quietly. If you're that miserable work somewhere else. We ordered the mocha buzz and matcha buzz. The matcha buzz came out but the mocha buzz never came out. I thought I heard my name called but a lady was hovering the counter and grabbed the drink without the staff verifying her so I asked the barista if mine was still being made. They asked for my name and pointed to a cup by the blender being made so I continued to wait. After 10 minutes my name was never called so they asked me what I was waiting for and they finally said they would make it. They said they didn't know what happened to my order. Poor customer service and they don't verify the drinks being picked up. Maybe it's industry standard but they only fill the blender with water in the sink and pour it out between drinks and the barista rinses his hand over the blender in the sink. $9 for a regular ice blended mocha and it wasn't even good. I had such a great experience here! The food was absolutely delicious, everything tasted fresh and well made. The staff really stood out too--Priscilla and everyone else on shift were so nice, welcoming, and made the whole visit feel comfortable and enjoyable. What a bummer. Love Better Buzz but apparently this location is irritated at doing any extra "work". Ordered a not Latte by accident. When I told the Barista she had just finished my hot Latte and said I was "too late" and put my drink at the counter. I asked if she could pour it into an iced cup and again she said it was already made (?). I made a comment about her lack of interest in making any easy switch (which I've seen done many times) and a guy said I needed to buy a new drink if I wanted it iced (again, as if this was a different drink??). Just don't get it, I've made this mistake a few times and nobody has blinked - just poured it into a cup with ice. Why these two were against such a simple task is beyond my comprehension. I had the most disgusting experience ever at this better buzz location in the sd airport. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and watched the man who makes them touch everything in his patch without changing his gloves. It was disgusting. His gloves were covered in wetness from literally everything he was touching. He left a dirty rag on the table where he was preparing the food and he kept moving it around so I watched everyone's foods be placed on the table where a disgusting dirty rag laid only seconds before. When he called my name, I grabbed my sandwich and threw it directly in the trash. I went to the taco stand where they safely prepare food, and ordered a burrito. I will never be back. read more

Terrible place absolutely the biggest rip off. First the guy taking the order refused to listen to anything I said. I had to keep repeating myself . It was like he had this idea of what the order should be and refused to stray from it. Then comes the out of control prices.. two coffees , one bagel no butter no condiments and avocado toast which want toasted ,limp and the micro greens were crap from some salad mix from Vons .. $48!! GTFO did we lose a war of something?? What a complete scam this was . How do you justify $48 for that!! He said it with a straight face as well. This place should be ashamed of itself. Then you read a small sign on the register.. they add a 2% surcharge from staff hiring and retention!! You have to be kidding. I have to pay for that? You penalize the customer because better buzz doesn't want to look after their workers?? If better buzz don't have good wages and conditions and their turnover rate is high and they have retention issues,that's not my problem and NO ONE should pay for that except the employer.. better buzz. You see a lot of these small surcharges being added to the customers bill because lazy employers don't want to look after their employees which is their duty to. This practice should be made illegal.
