It was a busy morning, so they doing their best to keep up with orders while people were asking if their bagels were ready. The workers were being so patient and communicating with customers that they were on it. The coffee TASTES like coffee! Silly to say, but it's soooo delicious and I love when coffee doesn't taste like a complete sugary drink. We had two iced coffees (basic sitch and blondie mocha) and their drip coffee. Scheduled my day to make sure I could stop by their anniversary celebration before heading to the airport. Left, extremely disappointed... When I arrived a few minutes before opening the lights were off, turned the corner to find things still being unloaded. Waited, until 6, nothing, waited 5 more minutes, some movement but still not open. Finally ask what the situation is and they said they were running behind and needed maybe 15 more minutes. Super solid experience here. Don't let the long line intimidate you because it moves surprisingly fast. They even open additional iPads as registers when it gets busy, so the wait isn't bad at all. Being right by the water gives you a great view while you enjoy your food, making it a perfect spot for a quick bite and some people-watching if you're visiting San Diego. I always stop by this place since I discovered it last year when I visited Seaport Village. I always stop by here whenever I'm around Seaport, and this visit was no exception! This time, I came with my husband and our little dog on a Sunday. From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent. The woman who took our order was so friendly, relaxed, and welcoming. I particularly like this location at Seaport Village since you get to enjoy the wonderful foods, drinks, and view. The shop is so cute and has a good amount of seating around it. The bagel had the perfect amount of spice to it and looked at how decked on the cream cheese was. Really doesn't get better than this. They have several locations in the SD area, and the one here is pretty small - it's really just a walk-up space but that's fine since it fits the vibe of Seaport Village. The biggest standout for me was their cold brew made with chaga - I totally needed to look that up while waiting in line and learned it was a type of fungus. I wasn't in an adventurous mood, so I went with their standard cold brew with a little almond milk. The beverage was good - nothing too special but just a really good solid coffee. They make excellent espresso drinks and at least three are my regulars; cortado, lavender latte and hot matcha! The newest location on Sunset Cliffs and Newport Ave has a drive through and outside tables with outlets to plug in your laptop. It's become a local favorite because of the quality products and service and big bonus is that you can walk to the beach! My sister and I stumbled across this place during our San Diego trip last year and we made sure to revisit when were in San Diego for the week this year. My sister ordered a Medium Iced Basic Sitch ($6) and the San Dieggo breakfast sandwich on a Serrano, Habenero & Jack Cheese Bagel ($12.99). My sister and I both love spicy and the serrano and habeneros on/in the bagels had a great kick. The lox was fresh and the cucumbers provided the perfect amount of crunch in every bite. The egg in the San Dieggo bagel was cooked perfectly with a jammy yolk and the bacon was nice and crispy. Both drinks are on the sweeter side and delicious. We received a text when our order was ready and picked-it up at the pick-up window. The lady working the espresso machine and pick-up counter was friendly. The sandwich was fresh and a large portion size. I could only eat half! I'm not the biggest fan of egg, but the egg was actually really good. Places like this make me nervous for the coffee, but the coffee wasn't too sweet or bitter.
