It was a busy morning, so they doing their best to keep up with orders while people were asking if their bagels were ready. The workers were being so patient and communicating with customers that they were on it. The coffee TASTES like coffee! Silly to say, but it's soooo delicious and I love when coffee doesn't taste like a complete sugary drink. We had two iced coffees (basic sitch and blondie mocha) and their drip coffee. I'm not sure how I haven't tried this coffee shop before especially since they have a fair amount of locations throughout the different neighborhoods of San Diego... Regardless, I was so grateful to give the Seaport Village location a try! The baristas were so sweet!! I got the iced chagaccino latte before getting my steps in at Seaport Village. My latte was ready in no time and the minimal wait was so worth it cos the chagaccino is so tasty! I came by around evening time, so I randomly caught a Bob Dylan concert at the Rady Shell. Live music, a nice walk, and a good latte is honestly the best combination. I loved this spot so much! I particularly like this location at Seaport Village since you get to enjoy the wonderful foods, drinks, and view. The shop is so cute and has a good amount of seating around it. When we arrived, we were greeted by Riley who I gave my full faith in for my order. She chose my drink (Cinna-Bee) and my bagel (Serrano, Habanero & Jack Cheese Bagel with Shallot & Chive Cream Cheese). Truly phenomenal. Both were sooo good. The bagel had the perfect amount of spice to it and looked at how decked on the cream cheese was. Really doesn't get better than this. Riley was so incredibly sweet in taking our order and giving us recommendations on what's good and what was a must try. We ordered a San Dieggo sando and just look at how it looked. I highly recommend this treat, it's great with oat milk! The drink comes with rich, authentic chocolate. Service was quick and pretty friendly. I waited less than 5 mins for my order on a slow midweek afternoon. The music played at this location is ICONIC. They're still rocking Kim Petras. I made a quick stop at Spill the Beans while walking around Seaport Village. I was in SD for the day and felt a thirst - plus I needed to have my second coffee of the day so it only made sense for me to stop by. StB was actually not foreign to me before my initial visit - one of my friends who loves SD as much as I do had been here before with great things to say. They have several locations in the SD area, and the one here is pretty small - it's really just a walk-up space but that's fine since it fits the vibe of Seaport Village. The biggest standout for me was their cold brew made with chaga - I totally needed to look that up while waiting in line and learned it was a type of fungus. I wasn't in an adventurous mood, so I went with their standard cold brew with a little almond milk. The beverage was good - nothing too special but just a really good solid coffee. The bagels don't have the structure of a New York bagel. They are good but they are a little bit flat to be a NY bagel. The cappuccino was very good. I came with family and ordered the Basic Sitch and a Chaggacino, along with their June special, the ube pandesal bagel with ube cream cheese. Everything was a 10/10! Bagels and specialty items at Spill The Beans in Ocean Beach have gotten even better! The breakfast sandwich bagel is my favorite! Freshly made to order and served promptly makes me very happy! They make excellent espresso drinks and at least three are my regulars; cortado, lavender latte and hot matcha! The newest location on Sunset Cliffs and Newport Ave has a drive through and outside tables with outlets to plug in your laptop. It's become a local favorite because of the quality products and service and big bonus is that you can walk to the beach! My sister and I both love spicy and the serrano and habeneros on/in the bagels had a great kick. The lox was fresh and the cucumbers provided the perfect amount of crunch in every bite. The egg in the San Dieggo bagel was cooked perfectly with a jammy yolk and the bacon was nice and crispy. Both drinks are on the sweeter side and delicious. We received a text when our order was ready and picked-it up at the pick-up window. The lady working the espresso machine and pick-up counter was friendly. My husband and I were staying at Manchester Grand Hyatt for Comic-Con and visited Spill the Beans every morning because it was close to the hotel, busy but not too crazy even during Comic-Con, and of course, they served really delicious food and drinks. I had different iterations of their lox, stock, and bagel sandwich, trying different cream cheeses each day (the barista's recommendation for caramelized shallot and chive was my favorite), but I really did enjoy the white truffle and Parmesan cream cheese as well. There is an option to order ahead online if the line is too busy (or you'd like to plan ahead and not wait), which we took advantage of for two mornings.
