And I love to see that this has since grown into a great business that focuses on making and celebrating good, beautiful things. So when I was in Shelby Park recently, I had to stop by. First, I love the fun door that greets visitors: "Here for awhile and then gone" is just above the peep hole. And inside is a great curation of locally handmade goods. T-shirts, home goods, art, games, accessories, bags ... it's a little bit of a lot. I ended up buying a locally designed print that says "I am a museum of everything I've loved." Can't wait to find a place for it! The woman who greeted me when I came in was also such a delight. She was warm and welcoming. And she showed me their fragrance collection, a focus of Misc. Goods Co. They have a half dozen fragrances available in several types of items: spray, roll-on, candles, soaps and more. I loved the way she described each and could see myself wearing several. If you have some time, definitely pop your head in here and take it all in. It's full of that creative Louisville energy that I love.

I'm not sure if it was the owner that was at the counter but she was very friendly and engaging. She had a great selection of things that most horse owners would commonly need when getting to a horse show out of state. The prices are a little bit higher than what I'm used to in ohio, but she is in a fairly remote location, so the fact that she was there at all is pretty impressive. I was very grateful that I was able to get two out of the three items that I needed to satisfy my trip. If I attend the same horse show next year, and I need supplies again, I would happily patronize her store.

We spent over an hour here browsing, and I picked up records by 100 gecs, Troye Sivan, and Mitski, while my cousin got a record by The Smiths. Except for a little des to the right of the door were the have set up a little desk with all the papers and keys for the U-hauls they rent. I've had trouble with U-Hauls corporate shops on more than one occasion. I once got a U-Haul that was spitting gas out of the sixth cylinder. That made the shop all the more wonderful. The owner mainly work the weekend and we were lucky enough to have med them. They do the same inspection on the trucks they rent out as they do for their own trailers when they are hauling horses. One of the owners was telling us how if she finds anything wrong she calls the U-Haul mechanic who is a little man that can fix anything according to her to come out and make sure everything is perfect before she will rent out a truck. They take pride in their work and the service they provide whether it be in the TAC shop or as a neighborhood U-Haul dealer. I highly recommend getting ant trucks or vehicles you need to move or hall good and materials from them. It was a great experience and they were very helpful.

Of course we were intrigued with two grand babies due in late October - December. This establishment not only features excellent quality furniture but a host of extra decor to complete a kids room. This is reflected in the accompanying photos. Molly Monkey also delivers furniture and assembles it on site if you choose. We immediately informed our children of this place and its offerings. A quick U-turn (shhh, don't tell!) and we were ready to see what was waiting inside. Inside was a wonderful array of baby cribs, changing tables, bureaus, strollers, rocking chairs and gliders, and so much more. The furniture appeared to be well-made and much nicer that that at the big box stores. Price points vary and financing is available. I was told that delivery with assembly is available and the staff member mentioned Lexington, Bardstown and a few other places to which they had recently delivered. In addition to furniture they had a nice selection of mobiles, crib sheets and other nursery items. They also carry bunkbeds and other furniture for older children. This is a great store for expectant parents, grandparents, foster families, and anyone needing children's furniture. The store is located on Shelbyville Rd in Middletown and has dedicated parking.
