It's now June so I've had time to settle in with my carpet and wanted to provide a review of the experience. I read lots of reviews and research things to death before I make a decision so I don't give people a high rating just to be "nice". I also consider myself to be be a little hard to please because I'm used to doing a lot of work on my home myself and I have a high standard of quality while being thrifty. That being said, I shopped around a few quotes and came back to FlooringRVA. Long story short...I felt the price I paid for what I wanted was spot on. I had a good experience with the two man crew that came to install the carpet and padding. And 6 months later things are still meeting my expectations. Robert, the owner, was the real reason behind going with FlooringRVA a second time. He personally came to measure and offer suggestions. I preferred to text and Robert made himself available at all times throughout the day when I had questions. I didn't always expect an immediate response but one was always received. I could tell he and his staff were committed to my being satisfied throughout every step in the process and I couldn't find that level of customer focus with any other competitor. That person used the wrong color ‍ They sent out a second person to fix that, and nothing was actually fixed. When images were sent to the project manager showing how the problem was not fixed, it was radio silence on the other side.

We checked out several rolls of carpet, ranging from thin piled to plush piled and ended up choosing a taupe, medium thick carpet with the padding. The staff was incredibly helpful, patient and knowledgeable. They install quickly and professionally. The price was in our range and they even work with you if you need financing. We had such a good experience on our initial visit, that when my mom wanted to do the floors in her sunroom, we went back to Jeter's! They had a fabulous selection of indoor/outdoor rugs and we purchased one that lasted for years! Repeat business? You bet!! When I needed a carpet remnant for our spare room, we went back to Jeter's! I even found a cute cheetah print area rug that I bought on a whim! Love it! It's obvious why their customers keep coming back again and again! No pressure, tons of inventory, super deals and personal service! They also have hardwood flooring, tile, laminate, runners, decorative area rugs and more! Because of Darren, we do it every day! Darren refinished a ~30 year old hardwood floor that had yellowed, shown wear from traffic, had missing pieces of wood, and damage from chemical spills. From the very first time I reached out, his communication was excellent. He visited our home to see the floor, take measurements, and recommend and explain a refinishing process. Darren gave us options for type of polyurethane, colors, finish (matte vs. gloss) while offering recommendations from his many decades of experience. Within several hours we had a very fair quote and were booked several weeks out. Darren spent a few days on property and was incredibly respectful of our home and us when we would ask a question or two. He worked his magic to sand and protect our floor to a condition we would have never expected - just see for yourself. Overall, working with Darren was an exceptional experience that greatly improved our living space for the next couple of decades and likely longer.

I had budgeted on the high side of what I expected the job to cost, and his estimate came in under that amount. He sent me a link to upload a photo and see how the different options might look. Once we settled on a design, we scheduled the job for a week and a half later. His crew showed up early and banged out the job in under four hours. Stephen was very responsive, provided upfront pricing line by line, and was willing to be flexible with the timing of the project which was a tremendous help. The flooring was able to be put in quickly...there was a little hiccup due to an issue with additional subflooring that needed to be taken up but the additional cost to take it up was reasonable and Stephen communicated that upfront. The trim could not be completed same day due to the subfloor causing the floor depth to change but Stephen offered a temp stop gap solution, ordered new trim, and came back within a week to complete the work. Stephen was very good at communicating, sending me pictures to help me choose what kind of trim I wanted around the reception desk (I was not able to stay on premises). He also sent pictures and messaging as he encountered issues. Other contractors may have just done what they thought best but Stephen consulted with us prior to completing the work. We have had compliments on the flooring and we are happy with the result. Would recommend!

I just had a new kitchen floor installed ( the previous floor was installed in the 1970s ) and it looks fantastic. They are no drama contractors and never sneak in extra fees and costs outside of the original quote. I also appreciate their sales approach because there's no pressure and they want you to be happy with your choice. Their prices were also lower than Lowes! Support a local business with good ethics.
