I was able to buy extra plush and durable high quality carpet for the cost of lower quality carpet elsewhere. Very reasonable price, including out-of-town installation. Floor Store returned to adjust carpet at the bath threshold where slanted floors left things looking odd. No excuses, no delays, no extra charges. Just a job well-done. 2) Custom area rug -- Love the sisal-look rug which fits my 13'x13' "everything" room perfectly. Got the high end look and high traffic durability I wanted for a great price. Love this indoor/outdoor rug. 3) Shower and floor tile for Richmond patio home -- Project is (still) in progress. It's been challenging due to general contractor issues and delays of several months (NOT the fault of Floor Store). Stephen was very responsive, provided upfront pricing line by line, and was willing to be flexible with the timing of the project which was a tremendous help. The flooring was able to be put in quickly...there was a little hiccup due to an issue with additional subflooring that needed to be taken up but the additional cost to take it up was reasonable and Stephen communicated that upfront. The trim could not be completed same day due to the subfloor causing the floor depth to change but Stephen offered a temp stop gap solution, ordered new trim, and came back within a week to complete the work. Stephen was very good at communicating, sending me pictures to help me choose what kind of trim I wanted around the reception desk (I was not able to stay on premises). He also sent pictures and messaging as he encountered issues. Other contractors may have just done what they thought best but Stephen consulted with us prior to completing the work.
