We were in town for a baseball tournament and knew we had to try Zuppaman after reading all the glowing Yelp reviews. They were absolutely right. It was a smaller store front, cozy and a hidden gem! The restaurant has so much personality, with years of awards proudly displayed throughout the dining room. Before the food even arrived, we knew we had found somewhere special. We started with the Bistro Onion Soup and the Red Pepper Lobster Bisque. French onion soup and lobster bisque are two of my all-time favorites, so my expectations were high. The Bistro Onion Soup absolutely delivered--rich, flavorful broth, perfectly tender onions, and an incredible blanket of melted cheese. Easily one of the best onion soups I've ever had. The Red Pepper Lobster Bisque was equally memorable. The sweetness of the roasted red peppers paired beautifully with the lobster, creating a unique twist that really worked. My husband and older son both ordered the Momma Mia. A spaghetti sandwich? We were intrigued! My son gave it a 9/10 and said it tasted like a lasagna sandwich. He'd order it again without hesitation. My youngest chose Ziggy the Piggy and declared it "the best sandwich I've ever had." That's high praise from a 10-year-old! He gave it a perfect 10/10, and the sandwich was nearly as big as his head. Honestly, reading the menu made us want to come back just to try everything else. Every item sounded delicious. What made the experience even better was the staff. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to love what they do. That kind of hospitality is hard to fake, and it made us feel right at home. If you're passing through--or even if you're not--Zuppaman is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town. read more

Amazing, truly amazing. I got the sight piggy wrap (basically a bbq pork mac n cheese wrap) and my god it was fire. The wrap is prolly the best sandwich i've ever had and I would totally recommend to anyone that you should get it. The lady that took the orders was super nice and the food took a lil bit to come out cuz it was all being freshly made, which just added to the amazingness of the sandwiches. My Ziggy in the piggy was mac n cheese in a wrap and had no meat. The mac was also cold and not good. My 4 other friends also had terrible wraps and sandwiches. Really good and fresh. I had one of the salads, and a toasted beef sandwich. Both were really good. Staff was friendly. The only negative is if you eat there the plastic ware is really bad -- almost impossible to use the fork w a salad, and the knife would not cut the sandwich (which was not cut all the way through by the chef before serving). Incredible sandwiches. So delicious and so big! We are not leaving hungry. I got the Popper Sammich and my partner got a build your own with Turkey, bacon, tomato, and cranberry Mayo. We both were so happy. We're coming from out of town and saw the menu online. The outside is unassuming but don't let that fool you. The staff was kind and personable and it didn't matter we weren't locals (though it seems like a popular place!). As an LGBT person traveling, the sign in the front made us feel safe and we were grateful for it -- let alone the amazing food we also got! Seriously, such good sandwiches. What can I say about Zuppaman? MAMA MIA!!!! I never expected to find such a shop in a small town let alone one that serves up a big city offering priced right with huge portions. You'll find the "Z" very close to Cedar Point Amusement Park, in a neighborhood strip mall. From the moment I entered the cute little shop I was greeted by a gentleman wearing a black chef shirt ready to take my order. I found out this was Benny, one of the owners. He clearly loves to cook and talking about the sandwiches brings a big smile to his face. We were in town for a funeral, and had family send over delivery from Zuppaman a few days earlier. We were so impressed with the food that when we returned to Sandusky a few days later we decided to try other sammies on the menu. My absolute favorite (so far) is Ziggy The Piggy, a wrap stuffed with pork, mac & cheese & sweet BBQ sauce. The size of both the sandwich portions & salads are huge. The Momma Paulina FoSho is best served on the fresh Italian bread slices vs the pretzel roll (we had both) but being Sicilian...its all about that Italian bread! The full salad can feed 2 ppl easily if you want to try a sandwich to split. I would encourage these guys to franchise out when they can. Their commitment to quality, consistency, size of portions & price will continue to bring them success & build the Zuppaman brand. I want one in my town STAT! We even gave them a tip in their jar, which we don't always do for a sandwich take out. But he was so welcoming and sweet. The food was very good. Only one problem was the soup was cold. No biggie because it was still delicious. We got 3 sandwiches and we loved them all. Ziggy the piggy, Tripp horsey melt, and the shroom a zoom. All delicious! My youngest son got the kids mac and cheese which he wasn't crazy for but he's a kraft kid, I tried it and it was really good. I wish we were here longer to try more things on the menu.
