I began hearing really good things about Microblading, but I wasn't sure if it was for me. My daughter began following Kamryn who works out of Studio 6 Salon and Spa and really liked her work. My daughter had her eyebrows done first and it looked beautiful and very natural so I decided to give it a go. Kamryn was great..... she took her time explaining the procedure and answered all my questions. When Kamryn was done I love my new eyebrows. I liked that she followed my natural brow shape to re create my brows. I believe everyone has their own natural brow shape and should stay true to their shape. Kamryn explained that first my brows will peel then get darker, but will eventually look softer. In six weeks my brows will be touched up and will be given more density. I am very impressed with how real they look and can't wait to see the final product. I have since returned for my touch up and loving my brows even more. I definitely recommend Kamryn if you always wanted beautiful brows and just couldn't achieve the look you wanted or hate drawing them in. I like Kamryn's work because it looks natural just like your own hair stokes! I went to see her last Friday and I'm happy that I found her. She is very talented and such a sweet gal! He repeatedly shared strong opinions including statements that women are responsible for the most mass murders in the world (he was talking about abortion) and that women will use all kinds of excuses to justify a desire to kill. He admitted secretly wanting to kick a client out of his shop because she had a different opinion about a particular case. The setting made the experience extra uncomfortable. My lash service was done in a separate, closed-door room in the back while other clients were receiving services in the open area outside. At one point, he asked whether I had ever watched something strangled or drowned to death. I was taken aback and didn't even know how to respond to that question. He proceeded to tell me that he has and went on a story about killing rats. I tried to keep the convo light and neutral, but it repeatedly went in strange and unexpected directions. There were other concerning comments made but to sum it up, I came in hoping for a relaxing experience and left feeling unsettled. While I'm satisfied with how my lashes turned out, the interaction overshadowed the service itself. A beauty appointment should be a comfortable and professional environment, not a place where clients are questioned and subjected to unsolicited commentary about personal beliefs.

Located in the West Commercial Plaza, Ami's Nail Salon is a clean, typical Nail Salon with Pedicure chairs, Nail stations, and a private waxing room. The tight, free, shared parking lot might be the main obstacle because this plaza is on the busy side. Other businesses here include Nanding's Bakery, Fratelli Express, Chiropractic Clinic, and Diagnostic Laboratory Services. An elderly gentleman was my technician. He had a rather gruff demeanor. He would state commands such as, "Both feet up". He patted my feet like "stay here". However, I let him upgrade me to the $25 "Basic Pedicure" since he implied that the leg massage would be better. Haha! Overall, it was an ok experience. It wasn't the best because I have had better foot massages. There was none here. I had to turn the back massage feature on the chair myself, and I started looking through the nail color palettes on my own. Maybe I'll try the $19.99 deal next time. He might not give me the hot towels on the feet and legs?

I'm updating on the healing process after the first round of ombre powder brows over previous work (ombre powder and microblading by other artists). I followed the procedures given to me by Jee. LOVED that she texted them to me along with care cards included in my aftercare package. I used ice packs, that helped with the swelling and sunburn sensation a lot. My skin type is oily and with the previous artist that did ombre powder brows, a lot of the ink fell out quickly within months. So to help with ink retention we did the aftercare a bit differently. After a while the normal healing process happened. This includes flaking, peeling and itching. This lasted about 4 weeks for me until the final scab fell off. Then the brows appeared lighter for a while because new skin was growing under the scabs. Then finally the color came back. I asked for more dramatic make-up looking brows instead of natural ones because I was afraid of them fading again so fast. And she did not disappoint!
