I've been coming here for 10+ years so I've seen the highs and lows of this business. Before COVID, this place was warm, welcoming, and so friendly. I felt like I could have a genuine fun conversation with my nail tech/manicurist hence why I kept coming back. I got close to Tina and Tony who basically watched me grow up and have been serviced by Janet and Coco who are also amazing. After COVID, this place pushed the "business" aspect. Everything felt rushed and at times it feels like the workers felt unhappy or stressed. They added more chairs and more staff making this place feel more cramped than ever. I continue to come back because I appreciate the service Tina and Tony continues to do for me after the many years I have been coming here. If it was not for them, I probably would have found a new nail place and new nail tech/manicurist. I typically do gel pedicures and occasional gel manicures. I like their online booking system. Sometimes my appointment time is honored and other times they are so busy that I wait about 10-15 minutes until it is my turn despite scheduling an appointment in advance. Do I recommend this place? I made an appointment online the night before from a recommendation from a friend that goes to this salon and decided to get a gel fill and pedicure with Lan. The moment you walk in, you sign in on the iPad with your phone number and then go to the assigned desk. I had a broken nail and Lan magically fixed it! I went here because of a previous manicurist who is no longer there. Big mistake! Nails were uneven, hardly any cuticle work, files like she dislikes you, and she said she'd give me a round shape because my nails weren't long enough but my nails look unnatural and round in general! I made an appointment for a pedicure with Tina because I remember reading good reviews about her and booking a pedi in 2024, but I totally forgot how she looks like. I come in before 9:30am and realize I want a manicure as well so I asked for one. I check in and wait till 9:30 to be seated with someone to do my pedicure. The whole time I was getting my pedi, I thought it was Tina, but it was someone else! Then in the middle of getting my toes done, someone comes to do my manicure. It's about 10:10am at this point when another customer walks in and says she's a bit early for her 10:30am appointment. To my surprise it was Tina doing my manicure and that was her next client! When she realized her next client was here, she started rushing on my gel x. While applying the tips with the gel, she applied too much on my thumb that it oozed out to the cuticle and she cured it. If I didn't speak up I feel like she would've left it like that. She also didn't file the underside of each tip before applying so we'll see the retention on these non-etched tips... Then the lady who was doing my toes didn't fully cure the gel and she smooshed off the white to just paint another layer on top. The next day there was a hole in my polish on both big toes so I went back thinking she'd file it down to smooth out the hole but no.... she just put another layer of polish on top. Disappointed to say the least. She also started filing the sides of my big toe a lot? So now I have a lumpy layer of polish on my toes Back to my manicure--Tina was still rushing to finish me to get to her 10:30am client (It's already 11am). I wanted a pointed almond shape, which she showed me on my pinky first. I agreed on the length and shape of the pinky. She proceeds to quickly cut the rest of my nails. I'm all for speed, as long as it's efficient, but these honey... were not efficient. Her cutting the sides of my nails to shorten her "filing time" made my nails super uneven, longer than the example pinky, and crooked. I didn't notice it before I left but now it's the only thing I see on my nails and I hate it. For $150 and a more than 20% tip to each worker, I expected to love my nails, but I don't. I'm thankful that they helped me choose the color for my nails but maybe I need to try a different artist.... read more

1st time visiting this place since they changing management. Love the renovations. It was clean and there were a lot of desk, pedicure chairs available. I did a full set with gel x and my tech was Lee. After showing him the design I want he gave me a quote right away which I love! He was very gentle while filing and didn't hurt at all. After shaping my nails he asked if they were okay or if he needed to change anything. Even after doing the design he had me check it to make sure I was ok with it before curing! I've been coming to this salon since 2017 and love love love the original workers. New management came along in 2024 and ruined my original love for this salon. Summer better watch her attitude and learn customer service skills. This salon handles appointments VERY POORLY and VERY unprofessional. I had a CONFIRMED appointment made three days prior. Don't tell me the requested tech is "coloring their hair"! Do you think a customer wants to hear that!? If that was the case, I should have been notified PRIOR to my scheduled appointment that I wouldn't get the requested tech. And if that wasn't possible, you folks should've had techs READILY available to REPLACE the tech who HAD to color his hair. Summer, the owner, also did my manicure. She didn't even give me a massage (it states on the website, all manis gets massages), she made my cuticle bleed (it was burning under the UV light, ouch), and every time she was done with my hand, she threw it back at me. Excuse me Ms. ma'am, don't you dare take your frustration out on me, trying to rush through my mani just because YOU folks failed to replace the tech who had to color his hair. It was ok - nothing spectacular or noteworthy, but not a bad pedicure overall. Scheduling was easy and I'll admit it was surprisingly busy - it doesn't look that big from the outside, but it was quite busy for a Friday morning. It's a very clean and well run place and everyone is very nice. My tech was young and got to business quickly. I had some runner's callouses that she took care of and the deluxe pedicure was well worth the price. Pros - clean, sanitary, nice polish. Cons - massage very short (compared to other places I'd been to), nails were cut rather sloppy (uneven), and the cuticles were also not cut down, felt it was rushed. Despite having the deluxe, I was outta there in 40 minutes. Other places were at least 1 hour, often longer. I don't think I'll return, but again, it wasn't all bad. Went there for a couple years and liked everyone and always received a decent to pretty good job for manicures, pedicures and brow waxing. I cannot in good conscience wholly recommend for any/everyone. If you are an occasional customer and/or have lots of time on your hands, this could be a good choice. It is very close for Waikele residents so that is a plus and you will get a pretty good end product. If you are looking for a good regular service, this may not be the place for you. Technicians change constantly so you cannot make an appt w a particular person if you prefer that. Pricing is different than posted and different every time if that bothers you. They are very busy and there is no point in ever making an appt or trying to secure an appt on or before a busy day or weekend. All customers are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. I've tried all different ways starting with opening time. (The opened late that day.) I've made appointments way ahead of time and also within a few hours to no avail. Although it appears that you can make an appointment by phone, none of that matters when you arrive. You will always feel like a new customer with no appointment. Also not a good place to bring someone as a gift or treat just because it is not a relaxing atmosphere and chances are good that the two of you wait around a while like you had no appointment that started 30 mins ago. Even that is understandable sometimes but not acknowledging it is not. My recommendation is to go a little farther out where you can make regular 4-6 week appts to get a more consistent service somewhere where you're more likely to have someone know your name eventually. Great place to go for nails, friendly staff, good music, EXCEPT I have been here multiple times and they always have the grossest YouTube videos playing of animals getting slaughtered. Its SOOO gross! I don't know why they think people would want to watch that while trying to relax. Chicken guts being ripped out. Frogs and snails being cooked. It gives the whole place a very weird vibe as everyone tries not to look and get grossed out. Please put better videos up for viewers to watch to entertain the paying client and not the staff. My fave nail place was booked so did an easy online reservation for this salon. I had the 1st appointment of the day but the tech came in about 15 minutes late, no biggie. I chose a design from their gallery, she said no problem. She tried, but couldn't replicate it. Her next appointment came in and she told the client she was almost done with me. She asked me if I liked it but no, i didnt. The gel was too thick and the design was not what i expected. I wish I could just start over but she was just rushing to finish at this point.
