Service at the take out window was HORRIBLE. Food was so so. Large pizza with Sausage, mushrooms and Anchovies ON THE SIDE. Hawaiian Pizza AKA Pineapple and Ham. Got home and Anchovies ON the pizza, not the side. Had a hard time finding the pineapple or ham. Not to mention that the guy who waited on me was beyond rude. Told me my pizza would be ready in 25. Came in and pizza hadn't even gone in the oven. There were at least 12 pizzas ordered before me, and it was more like an hour before my pizza was ready. When I pointed it out, he said, "it's not my fault" when I told him he waited on me and said 25 minutes, he said, "other people work here too". We had Chicken Alfredo and a 3 meat pizza for lunch with Brunswick stew and a slice of Key lime pie. The selections were varied for such a small facility. Manger M. Owner refused to give me a refund on a bad pizza. I called twice and the owner never got back to me. After 4 days I went in person and had to deal with a dishonest/ugly waitress who proceeded to tell me the food she has eaten there is good, therefore my experiencewas moot. The Waitress was condescending and laughed that I wanted my $20 back. She felt the need to tell me that $20 wasn't worth it and because my husband had left a bad review. (If the owner would've taken ownership over this issue we would've removed the review.) The owner was sitting at the bar and went and hid like a cowardly child and left an unskilled waitress to "handle" the situation. Just moved back to the area and trying out different spots. Ordered 12" Meat lovers and garlic knots online. Staff was friendly when I picked the order up and it was within the time they said. At best it was mediocre pizza and knots. Ingredients were good and crust was blah. Knots were just hard bread with little bit of garlic on bottom of pan. I go to Betty's for lunch either on Wednesday, Thursday, or on a Friday when "Janice" is the waitress. She is a hoot and a trip all in one. If she doesn't put a smile on your face then you must be having a really bad day. I don't think you should go here. The pizza doesn't have much flavor, and it hurt my stomach. The woman gave me a Sprite after she heard me say that I felt sick. We placed a take out order at Betty's and ordered two pizzas, wings, and the mini Greek salad. There weren't many people inside, granted it was a Wednesday night and storming outside. The food was ready promptly, it only took about 30 minutes. Both pizzas were awesome, a classic pepperoni and a modern chicken bacon ranch with white sauce. I loved the "mini" Greek salad and for being the smaller portion there was plenty to feed a family of 4 with some leftover. They do not skimp on toppings! Flavor of our wings were just okay (hot teriyaki) next time I'd ask for them extra crispy as they were slightly on the soft side... however the homemade ranch was so good! Found this place by accident while we were visiting Melrose. It was perfect for a casual dinner and we were able to watch the Gator game on the outdoor TV. Betty's is good food at a fair price. Our "go to" is their Spinach Pie Pizza. Love it. It has changed over the years, but is consistently good. Tonight, the best ever. Fresh spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, I couldn't be happier. We usually get the Chefs Salad too, with ranch. It's what you expect a Chefs Salad to be. Their ranch is good. Husband wasn't happy with the calzone last time. I think the cook thought we said Stromboli. He's giving it another chance, but hasn't tried it yet. It looks delicious. We normally get it to go. I went to a week long youth camp down the road at Lake Swan. I had the pleasure of eating here twice with a big group. First of all, they handled our group 10+ twice, with a smile. The first time we came in we ordered a variety of large pizzas at dinner. I ended up with a slice of each. (1 pepperoni, 1 cheese, 1 sausage). All these slices were great. We all got waters, but when I checked in on yelp, I got a free drink, score! Fwiw. Their sweet tea is great. The second time I ordered the lunch calzone and house salad. We were here at lunchtime on a Tuesday. Knowing it's a small town, but we have been here before and were starving. There was one waitress and she was young. Very sweet, but did not notice we were there for quite some time. There was actually a man that sat down, waited awhile and left because he was never greeted after some time. Several folks had to ask for their tickets and the wait for her to cash them out was long. All this could be avoided by having either another waitress or at least a hostess to seat people and process payments. I ordered the 6" pepperoni pizza with salad. The salad was a Spring Mix with red onions, tomatoes and cucumber, the Italian dressing was out of a bottle. The pizza was very hot and crispy. The cheese was stringy and gooey and there was ample pepperoni. No complaints. We would stop again. It is what it is, a small town pizzeria with decent prices.
