We visited Between the Lines while we were in town for Dodgers spring training and had such a great experience. I'm so glad we chose not to buy from a bigger sporting goods chain like Dicks and came here. We had a very good personalized 1 on 1 experience with Dylan and Tanner who were very knowledgeable and helpful with helping my son choose the right glove. They have a great selection of bats and gloves amongst other baseball and softball equipment here. The store is just big enough without being overwhelming. I can't thank Tanner and Dylan enough for the wonderful experience. They also have glove break in service which is normally $60 but $30 if you buy the glove from them. Since we are out of state they said they could keep the glove and complete the service which is 5-7 days and then ship to us. 10/10 recommend!!! read more

UPDATE: I'm upgrading my review to 5 stars because Dylan the manager reached out to me later in the day and was kind enough to offer me an exchange for another set of catchers gear...huge turnaround for what I consider to be a large purchase. Customer service like this will definitely bring me back as a customer! Wish there was a zero star option. Bought $300 catchers gear for my daughter's birthday (of course no way to try it on first since it's online). Their site claims easy, hassle free returns/exchanges;however, somewhere on the site (mind you, not on the listing or the actual order) their policy states no refunds/returns on any item discounted over 25%. I'm now stuck with ill fitting gear (which is correct size according to sizing guide). I offered to buy a $400 set in exchange and they offered a 15% discount if I order from them again...why would I buy there again when I'm stuck with a crummy purchase? If you're getting a "good deal", make sure you're getting exactly what you need, or you will be stuck with it...poor customer service! Never again. read more

Love this place, every time we are in AZ we make a stop by. This last trip I headed home before my wife and boys. My older son, 7, is a baseball nut and my wife was trying to keep him from going stir crazy at the house. The guys set up the Hit Trax for him, got him the right size bat, and let him just go to town. He had an absolute blast! The young man who does the glove relacing is wonderful as well, I had some questions regarding his methodology and equipment and he was more than happy to share. Was in search of a new baseball mitt for my 8yr old and stumbled upon this place after extensive research and still being confused on what to purchase. The staff here are knowledgeable and helpful, much appreciated after trying the big box sports store with lack of knowledgeable staff. BTL provided an Overwhelming amount of knowledge of the products they sold and explained all the ways the gear meets the requirements for the leagues my sons play in. BTL pointed out all the certs and stamping on the gear. BTL did something I've not experienced in the past from other vendors they had their own quality control that looked over edge to edge on the equipment for defects as if it were their own kid ensuring we received the highest . Between The Lines has fans for life with our family. Went in for the first time today on the hunt for youth baseball pants. Our son is 9 and in a unique, in-between size where one is too large and one is too small. The store is small, but baseball/softball specialized so if you're looking for help with your little leaguer, minor or major player, this place is perfect! They had a few employees hanging around and the place was pretty slow. I was impressed with the young employee was proactively helpful in finding a great pair of pants for my son, before I asked for help he was already offering suggestions and guidance. Our son tried on just about every brand they had and if the employee was growing impatient, he sure didn't show it. We walked out with what just what he needed and we'll be back in the future. Also, they offer a discount for local little league players and will price match an item if you find a better price online! I just had the best experience with these guys - outstanding customer service. My son was in Glendale, AZ for a Spring Training camp and he left his batting gloves at home, normally not a problem, but we live in Sydney Australia, so a little challenging just to drop them off. I called a baseball store in Glendale to see if i could buy a pair of gloves and get them sent to the team Hotel. Even though the shop was literally 2 blocks away, the person at the other end of the phone said that it would be 2 working days before they would arrive, this was a Friday afternoon so basically they wouldn't arrive until Tuesday. So.... after a quick google search I called the guys at Between The Lines in Scottsdale, Joe answered the phone, i told him my situation and he was more than accommodating. After he found the gloves i was looking for, he put me on hold to chat with his boss, when he returned to the call he said that his boss was going that way tomorrow and would personally deliver them to the team Hotel at no charge. In my book that is going above and beyond, all this for a $40 pair of batting gloves. I did a quick google search and the drive from Scottsdale to Glendale is around 35 to 40 minutes!
