My brakes were making a squealing sound when the car started up but seemed to be working fine. I brought the car here to check things over. It was done in an hour and a half after I dropped off the car. I just live nearby so it was convenient for me to go home and return. They told me there was nothing wrong with the brakes and didn't charge me for checking. I am very grateful for their honest service and will bring my car here again. read more

I called prior to showing up for a simple car inspection. I was told to come before 5pm in which I had. I was greeted by 1 of 2 brothers who then asked me to park my car outside for inspection. The other brother got in my car and before commencing the inspection, turn my car off and told me the breaks were bad. The breaks were not bled, and that there was air in the system because the break pedal was low. He then refused to go on with the inspection because of this and said he would reject. I recently went and had my breaks and calipers done at IRA Toyota of Danvers and knew that this man was trying to hustle me. I went 5 mins down the road and passed with a new inspection sticker. I would stay as far away from this place so your not told false problems that don't exist on your vehicle. read more

Great place! The staff is very nice, they are always quick with service and very helpful. I've been here for tired fixes, buying new tires, windshield wiper issues, inspection stickers, oil changes, exhaust leaks, and they have been extremely helpful with everything and reasonably priced. My Girl Friend stopped there for gas and they asked her if she needed window washing fluid and she replied probably as when she tried to clean the window nothing was coming out(she was only out of fluid). Well the guy looks under the hood and comes back to tell her that the hose's for the windshield sprays are apart and he can fix them, but it would take about an hour. She thought about it and said no thank you as she will ask her boy friend to fix it. The guy then REALLY pushed her to have it fixed right then and suddenly he says "I was wrong it will only take 15 minutes or so" She says no thank you and he pushed some more, she says no I have an appointment I have to go, he closes the hood and leaves. Later she tells me the story, we walk from our condo over to where the car is garaged and I look under the hood and sure enough the connections to the sprayers are pulled apart. She has an 8 month old, new car and there is no grease on any part of the motor compartment EXCEPT for the hoses and she mentions the guy at this station had grease all over his hands. The connections were easy to reattach and there is no doubt in my mind that this was a scam to take advantage of my girlfriend. DO NOT trust this sleazy place! We called the Beverly Police to report this and they did not seem surprised about this at all. read more

The whole team at Beverly Auto Center does a very good job for very good and fair prices. I started going there when my neighbor told me that after several repairs to his car, they had told him that further work would be a waste of his money and that he should get a new car. They have been taking good car of my 2000 Sentra and in addition did brake work on my Subaru for about half the dealer's estimate. They are honest and fair and the work has been good. read more

I was on my way to Crane's Beach from the city, when my car started making terrible sounds. To be honest, the noises had been happening for a while, but seemed to be worse than ever on this particular day. I was worried that a tire might come loose or that I might cause an accident. So, I stopped at a place on Route 1A that couldn't help me, but they suggested that I stop at the Shell station on Brimbal Ave. I was a little reluctant to have the Shell station repair my car, because I typically go to the dealership. But, I gave it a try (I really didn't have a choice) and am so glad that I did. They were able to take care of my car right away, and told me that it would be two hours to complete the job. I expressed my lack of excitement about having to spend two hours at the gas station, when I was supposed to be on the beach. So, they offered to take me to the local beach / park in Beverly. And, they did. I spent a little less than two hours sitting under a lovely tree at the park looking out over the water. When my car was ready (a little earlier than they had estimated), they called and then came to pick me up. I really was so appreciative that they were able to help me, and were so nice about giving me rides to/from the beach. The good news is that my car is fixed and no longer makes strange noises! Also, I was able to make it to Crane's too that day. I don't live near Beverly, but would certainly recommend this station. They were great! read more

I've been going to this place for several years. I started going there for gas because they are the only place that has full service that I know of in our city, and often I don't want to take the kids out of the car (and don't feel comfortable leaving them alone to go pay inside, as the pump never accepts my debit card). The first time they fixed something on my car it was a tail light, which a mechanic in Gloucester had told me it would take an hour to put in, and would cost upwards of $100, after he had already spent over 20 minutes just TRYING to gain access to the tail light. I went to Beverly Auto Clinic and they charged me ten bucks, and it took them 10 minutes. They've since replaced other lights in my car, charging only ten bucks for each light, even though it takes them 20 minutes to do so. Last winter I backed up into a very icy snow bank and broke the exhaust pipe. They repaired that, and though I don't recall exactly how much they charged, it wasn't much. One time I went in for an inspection sticker, and had left my wallet at home. They were totally understanding and even told me if I couldn't come right back (though I did), to pay the next day, and they put the sticker on my car. I like the folks at Beverly Auto Center. The fuel tends to be a little more expensive than the self serve next door but I feel Shell is a better product. They also have diesel which is convenient. I get all my cars inspected there and they always do a timely job. While I have not had them perform any work I am confident in their abilities after numerous conversations with the owner and employees. read more

I have had three older cars serviced at this establishment. I found the mechanics to be very straight-forward, honest and the repairs, reasonably priced. I have never felt "swindled" by them, which is a feeling I often got as a woman dealing with car repairs and other mechanics. I would highly recommend having your car serviced here. read more
