This is a Shady establishment. I had my vehicle serviced here. Note I have been a valued customer. Doing business with them for over 8 years. My check engine light appeared after the repair. I went to Auto Zone to have them diagnosis the issue. It was exactly what was E valve repaired. So Manny, tells me to don't over fuel and "Reset" my check engine light. Whew! a month later same issue. again, he resets my check engine light. 3rd time I consented to a smoke test, They determined it was a 02 censor!!!!!!! And I decided I would have the repair done later. Now my car isn't starting after fueling. So I take it to have 02 censor replaced. Same issue my vehicle will not immediately start. I take at least 3 keys turns. Mind you I have AAA, and I was suppose to get 10% off PARTS & Labor. Manny only discounted the labor. I went back and brought this to his attention with the printed information AAA has online & the issue with my car not starting. Manny's slick talk, bring on Monday, I will order the part it's under warranty. I also had 4 new tire installed, My tire monitoring system has been activating ever since, and all he done is bring out a device and places against the tire and says its registering. The front passenger TPMS was damaged upon it being removed from the old tire and placed on the new one. Again, he denies this fault. I picked up my vehicle, on a Tuesday, March 10, 2026 and check enging light was off, and it started with easy. I did fuel it to see if I would have any issue with the starting. On Thursday, the same issue presented itself without the check engine light on. THIS SHOP IS NELIGENT... I AM A WOMAN, AND I WAS TAKEN Advantage OF. If you don't have money to lose, DO NOT HAVE YOU VEHICLE REPAIRED AT THIS CROOKED ESTABLISHMENT. THE DECEIT IS normal business practice. subpar parts are used. If you don't mind spending an outrageous amount of money, just on labor rates, and top dollar for parts, than this Sunoco station is the place to take your vehicle for repairs. A repair bill which should have cost, at the most $1,100. was presented at time of pick-up of over $1,700. which originally was rounded off at appx.$1,500. Another tip, for those who would know better, placing foot on brake "and gas" at the same time and then shifting into gear, then saying to customer, "it appears to be shifting properly", is ludicrous, yet this is what was quoted as diagnosed when problem was explained to service rep. bottom line, this station is owned by someone who is out for one thing only, not to spare any costs to anyone who normally would fill their car regularly at this station. They took care of it immediately and the Technician replaced my spare and jack and tire iron and put everything back together in my trunk! I then asked if I could also get an inspection sticker. I noticed a construction screw in my rear passenger's side tire, and asked mechanic if he could put a plug it, he responded that he can, and then I asked him how much in which he replied "FORTY FIVE DOLLARS" I replied I am all set and preceded to drive down the street to Lynn Street garage where the owner stated it would cost 20 Dollars, he then inspected the tire and found out that the screw did not puncture the tire so he removed it and did not even CHARGE ME. You deserve a mechanic that values your time and your business. Peabody Sunoco does neither. I went here because of convenience. I was able to walk there which saved me from asking for rides when my car needed service. Enough is enough and I will not be returning here any more. There are plenty of better mechanics in the area. They don't respect your time. On multiple occasions they forgot to call me when my car was ready to be picked up. Recently after fixing a minor problem, they forgot to reset sensors which caused the "Check Engine" and other warning lights to come on. I had to tell the mechanic to finish the job which wasted even more of my time (this is after I had to call THEM - they didn't call me when the work was finished). The mechanic seemed upset that I was asking him to finish the job, huffing and puffing because he was busy with something else. Completely unprofessional, what an embarrassment. The mechanics act like they're doing you a favor or inconveniencing them by working on your car. Very surprised at how unprofessional they were during my final experience there. The owner made excuses such as, "I came in late today... it's not the usual employees... we're extra busy today." Sorry bro, not my problem. Get it together. The owner made no effort to appease my concerns. I won't be buying gas there anymore and certainly will never bring a vehicle to get serviced. read more

Really easy and convenient spot to get an inspection for your vehicle. I like how they have a lane to park your car in as you wait for a technician to be available. They also have a small waiting room inside where you pay. As a female I felt very comfortable here. They took about 15 minutes per car for the inspections, which seemed pretty fast to me. If you call ahead, you can get an idea from the clerk about how long a wait you may have. read more

I brought my car here because I have CarShield and they're the closest repair shop that deals with them. I'll admit the reviews had me nervous. But I had/have nothing to be nervous about. I went there for an inspection sticker and failed due to several minor issues. I brought the car back and had the repairs done and got the sti ker. As I was pulling out of their parking lot, I immediately noticed that the airbag light was on. I went home and called them, telling them about the airbag light. I immediately brought the car back and they told me to come back on Saturday. I brought the car back on Saturday and after repairing the car, they told me that it was very difficult job and charged me $275. I am not accusing them of tampering with my car to create the airbag problem, however it's quite a coincidence is it not? I would never bring my car there again. read more

Today I went for a motor vehicle inspection. While there my wife's tires were low and I asked the gentleman at the front desk to have them put air in the tires. I was told that they would do this, then halfway through I reminded them that I needed air in the tires. They pull the van out I paid for and left and found out they had not put air in the tires. I went back to ask them if they could put it in and I was told that they were too busy. I then asked if I could use the outside air machine and was told I would have to pay for that. It's not that I spend a lot of money there, mostly two vehicle inspections a year and a few oil changes and gas, but I guess I'll be doing that elsewhere now. Went here for an Inspection and the owner comes out and tells me my wiper streaks. WHA?? I have NEVER, in over 30 years of driving, EVER heard of such a ridiculous thing. He wanted to sell me one of his overpriced wipers. Mine, by the way, are only a couple of month old. I drove around the block, did nothing, and came back and showed him. Do you know this crook actually said, "you fixed it!" and then passed the car. I would STRONGLY recommend you avoid these thieves like your life depended on it. Dishonest as the day is long. I always bring my car to get inspected here, and they have found legitimate problems before, but always fix them for a fraction of what I've paid elsewhere. Their prices on tires especially are very good. Recently I had another service shop tell me that my brakes were bad - I didn't buy new ones from them - brought them to these guys when I had a different problem, they checked the brakes and said nothing was wrong and tested them out - they had an opportunity to rip me off and didn't - very impressive. I had my car serviced here a few of times for basic oil changes. Everything was great and the cost was reasonable. They seemed professional and respectable so I decided to have my car worked on by them. My car had a leaking water pump. After bringing in my car they also found that something else needed to be done. So i agreed to it and never though about it further than that. Well a few months go by and I am having brake issues with my car. So I call them up asking them to inspect it. Now I have had similar issues in the past on the same wheel. Basically the caliper was locking on the rotor. Everything was exactly like it had happened a couple of years ago. Anyway, they didn't find anything wrong with the calibers or brakes, but they did say that the rear differential was bad and needed to be replaced and the rear suspension was suspect. Not really believing this I asked them to show me the issues, they refused. So after getting an estimate I took the car to another local shop to have them look at it. Well they find out it is the caliper and the rotor that are causing the issues. There was nothing wrong with the rear differential. read more

I brought my car here a couple months ago to be serviced for tire rotation, oil change and an inspection sticker. I use to come here a lot when I lived in south Peabody, and I recently bought a house down the street so I decided to come back because my past experiences were really good. First, my car has never has anything but synthetic oil, and that's not what was put in this time even though I asked twice and I was charged for synthetic. When I checked out I asked again to make sure and he changed it in the computer to synthetic but the sticker in my car read next oil change in 3000k miles, and when I brought it some place else for another oil change (I drive about 50 miles a day) that's definitely not what it was. I was also charged for a tire rotation that was never done, and I know this because I have a rim on the back right with one small mark on it, and guess what it was still on the back right tire when I got home. So I paid over 100$ for services that I didn't even receive. They must have seen a pregnant woman who they thought had no idea what she was looking for and wouldn't know the difference and decided to make quick money. This shop has what you thought no longer existed -- honest mechanics! They're not out to screw you. If something's wrong, they'll fix it. If it's not, they'll tell you and send you on your way. This is a true story. My wife brought her car in on a Thursday morning; they called her later to say what they thought it was. She agreed to the work and went by later to pick it up. She paid for the car, got the keys and drove it home. I asked later if she thought they had fixed the issue (it had been making an odd noise) and she said, "I don't think so." At this point, you're probably wondering why I gave this shop 5 stars. Nick, the owner, called us late that afternoon and again the next day. We didn't pick the message up until Friday night so she called the shop Saturday morning. He said he was completely embarrassed because they released the car to her even though they had not done the work. The part they needed arrived only a short time before my wife picked up the car but the guy out front didn't realize the car wasn't ready. Nick asked if she could bring the car back in and insisted on giving her the money back. My wife said it wasn't necessary but the owner persisted. Bottom line, they fixed the issue with her car and refunded every penny she had paid. I've mostly gone to these guys for little things (oil change, inspection, flat car or wheelbarrow tires, etc.) but I will likely start going to them for major services as well.
