The coffee alone was amazing. Breakfast and donuts were even more amazing. They brew in house and to be quite honest I didn't think I was going to like it but I loved it. The service was equally pleasant with everyone knowing everyone. Makes me wish I lived in Beverly. The donut was moist and sweet but not over done. It was perfect. We ordered the salmon Benedict which had cream cheese, smoked salmon, capers and of course hollandaise. It was perfect. Tasted like a sushi roll to me. Loved it. We also ordered the chorizo skillet which came w chorizo, poblano peppers, potatoes and onions. It was good! The potatoes here are so delicious. The cherry on top of our visit was the pancakes. Wow what a treat this was. The morning of the South Side parade 2012 me and my friend wandered in here after we noticed there we serve breakfast sign. It is a dope little place with there own coffee and many varieties on top of it. They had a special holiday menu but we each just opted to get bacon, eggs, coffee and wheat toast. there wheat bread was amazing. Coffee was top notch and staff wasn't far behind. Has a great sitting, reading, computing, surfing, drinking incredible coffee place. The breakfast potatoes are wonderful. They have baked goods. DO NOT start eating the cake donuts - it will be your downfall. They never give you enough honey wheat bread - the slices are way to small. This place is the bomb - they have 10 types of coffee - five medium roast and 5 dark roasted - the coffee is GREAT. Go there. read more

This place is a hidden gem for breakfast....much, much better quality food than all the other pancake places in the neighborhood (and much cheaper too!). The food tastes amazing, seriously, like your grandmother made it. Try the cinnamon chip pancakes (to die for!), and the chocolate doughnuts are frosted with a ganache, not a frosting, which makes the custard bismarck amazing! They roast their own coffee, which is delicious, and the steel cut oatmeal is a healthy alternative (or accompaniment) the the many baked goods in the case. The buttercream cupcakes are also absolutely worth the splurge....real buttercream, not the fake stuff. And everything is super-fresh. If you don't see it on display, you can ask, too, the owners are super-nice and helpful. My 3 yo daughter ate three (yes three!) orders of ham. I am vegetarian, so we eat veggie at home--her grandpa ordered it; the owners only charged for one, which was a very nice touch. They are always very friendly with my daughter and all the kids I see there. Service can occasionally be just a little slow if it is really busy--keep in mind it is family owned and operated. The food is well worth it, and they are always really nice. You will eat a lot of great food here and you will probably want to take something from the bakery case home too! Yum! I had the Spanish omelet with hash browns and it was delicious!! Thinner than many omelets that I have had but super good! It had chorizo, peppers and onions! Great flavor. Also had a bite of the French toast and it was great! Perfect bite of something sweet. read more

This is a super cute place! I went there for the first time on Friday 3/11/16. The workers were super friendly & helpful. I ended up ordering French Toast with Strawberries, a Chorizo Skillet, large cup of Colombian Coffee, and Two Orange-Cranberry Walnut Muffins. I was not disappointed whatsoever! The potatoes from the skillet were amazing! The French toast= Amazing. Muffins were tooooooo die for and the coffee was pretty good just not strong enough for my liking. That being said, I will definitely be back for more to try out more! :) read more

Nice place ... Great pancakes, good coffee, bad service. First time there with a friend. Got there around 10:15ish on Sunday. Got seated very quickly. Once seated, we were immediately asked what we wanted to drink. Coffee came fast. Waitress came by told us the specials and spoke way too fast, we didn't understand her. I ordered the apple pancakes only to find out 10 minutes later they didn't have anymore. My friend and I both ordered the pumpkin pancakes. We were on our third cup of coffee when we noticed other customers who sat after us got their food first. We tried to get the waitresses attention to ask about the delay but, never came to our table. Finally, after 40 minutes we got our food. (How long does it take to make pancakes?) No apology once we told her we tried getting her attention or for the food delay. P.S. Bacon portion sucks! Went here for the first time on Sunday and I have nothing bad to say about this place. The coffee was outstanding! Their food was delicious, especially their pumpkin waffles with cream cheese. Their customer service was top rate! It is a very welcoming place that gives their customers lots of attention. I will definitely be returning regularly.
