    Jalapeño sourdough grilled cheese

This place is fantastic. As I always say that you pay for what you get and trust me, it's worth it. The jalapeno sourdough bread makes for an amazing grilled cheese!!! They slice it in house and you can tell that it's incredibly fresh!! Keep it up- delicious!!!

Stopped in to try a couple breakfast items. I decided on the cinnamon roll and the day old bun. Cinnamon roll was nice and light with a great icing. The bun was so fresh and tasty. I ended up ordering focaccia for a dinner party two days later. The staff was great and had no problem setting me up. Just one thing I forgot to do was take the pictures of the delicious focaccia. We always order pies for the holidays and the Mexican chocolate cake for my birthday! Glad I got to enjoy the pastries and I highly recommend stopping in!

    Ham and Cheese Croissant.

Stopped in yesterday to pick up a couple things. The interior and seating area is very cozy and comfortable. When you walk in you can smell the delicious baking. I picked up a Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough and had its sliced. It was also too tempting to walk away from the two fresh baked rolls that were at the counter. Not sure what they were called, a French name I believe. Last I grabbed a ham and cheese croissant. When I got home the wife and I tried everything. The Jalapeño Cheddar was amazing. It was very fresh and had a nice crust out layer. Tye jalapeño was very present and gave you that delicious flavor and a little burn. The cheddar was very generous and added to the great taste. Both versions of the French rolls were delicious. Fresh bakery taste with a very distinguished buttery flavor and just enough sugar glaze to make it decadent. Last the ham and cheese croissant was amazing. Layered, flaked buttery with just enough ham and cheese to not allow you to set it down before devouring it . I'd say it was the best ham and cheese croissant I've ever eaten.

Whoa! Tucked away in a corner of Oaklawn is some really great sour dough bread, sandwiches and other perfect treats. No big bling sign! You just have to know or have heard of this place. You walk in and order, sit down and await the greatness. Service was great. Not much seating. A couple pieces of art on the wall and a bread rack. As you would expect for a bakery. Soup of the day was poblano pepper. And yes it was amazing. My fiancée ordered the chorizo con papa. I ordered the jalapeño cheddar. Both were great and flavorful. Bread was perfect. We also both ordered macchiatos, which were BOLD. Well enjoyed. Before we could go we ordered some treats Togo... which were just as you can expect GREAT. The frosted honey bun and cinnamon roll. They also have a rack of day old bread/treats which are discounted. Do not cheat yourself and miss out on trying all the greatness this place offers. I plan to update yelp with my next menu tryouts. This bakery has a small menu but usually that's a good thing. Also, the flavors for coffee are made from scratch as advertised.

Great selection of drinks. incredible food and great service- this place is truly a neighborhood gem. This place makes the best oatmeal cookies hands down. The grill cheese sandwich was also a hit, need to go back to try the Poblano soup.

Fabulous Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough Bread! Delish!

I highly recommend the Sourdough baking class! I took the interactive class led by Chef George.Such a fun and great experience.Chef George with his calm and professional manner takes you through every step to a successful loaf of sourdough bread. A complete starter kit is given and yours to keep.Everything you need except the oven. You leave with dough in a proofing bowl ready the next day to complete at home.I was able to finish a delicious Jalapeño Cheddar sourdough this morning at home. Can't wait to go back and try some of their delicious looking pastries, salads and chili, and soup.

So happy that oak lawn now has a place we can get fresh baked bread. The service was top notch, the cashier was friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. The breads and sandwich were both great , so yummy. I am so excited to go a try some lattes. There is a seating area Inside as well with tables that can seat quite a bit. Place is clean and nice

Customer service is poor, waited 10 minutes to place an order & walked out. If you're pressed for time, this may not be the place for you.

Learn to not mess up bread orders. Ordered bread for Christmas and they lost my order. This shows a lack of responsibility.

The shop was spotless, and the music was at the perfect volume, creating a relaxing atmosphere where we could enjoy our time together. The staff was welcoming, and the overall experience made us feel right at home. On a funny side note... whatever hand soap they use in the restroom smells AMAZING! It's such a small detail, but it speaks to the care they put into every part of the customer experience. We'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a delicious treat and a great atmosphere!

Yes! I love this spot. Awesomeness for something sweet…read more.. We ordered a Cocktail Fruit and a Brownies Magic. Both delicious. I mean. So good. Very rich for me. Perfect for my Donald. They have this AhMazing upper level that's outdoor seating. In good weather. The weather was perfect for this option. I believe they can also close this section off for inclement weather. I'm not a huge fan of eating outside. Cuz you know. Pollution from the cars and bugs and what not. But cuz this was an UPPER level. Just so good. The customer service was sweet. If I'm being completely honest, they're not quite as hospitable as the other places we've been in their surrounding area but I think those other places are far above what is expected. They do have a lot for parking.

You…read morehave to be careful at night or on the weekend nights because people do not know how to drive or park. I wouldn't be surprised if car accidents happen frequently in this area. Aside from that, you won't have a problem finding seating. That is if you go on a weekday or a slow day on the weekend. When it's busy on a Saturday night, you will have to wait for a table. They have tables outside and inside. On your right side, you will have those viral fruit dessert cakes and drinks. On your left side towards the windows, you'll find ice cream. Then you'll have baklavas, kunafas, maamouls, bird's nest, etc. Most of the dry desserts have a lot of pistachios, cashews, and walnuts. The downside is that most of the products are not labeled nor do they list a price in the case. You will have to ask. Not all of the staff understand English either. Prices are not bad. The ice cream is overpriced for one scoop. You can get that cheaper in Bridgeview. Most of the staff was nice, some of them could work on their attitude better. If they labeled their products, people wouldn't ask so many questions. We tried kunafa, pistachio baklava, 3 different kinds of bird's nest, passion fruit ice cream, and 2 different matcha drinks. The kunafa was excellent. It was fresh, hot, cheesy, and chewy. The pistachio baklava was good, not sweet at all. We tried the lotus, Nutella, and pistachio bird's nest. The lotus and pistachio are not too sweet. Nutella is rich if you love chocolate. The bird's nest was soft and crispy. The ice cream was good, they put in real pieces of passion fruit. I had the pomegranate matcha drink and it was good, make sure you stir it well. Overall, this is a 4 out of 5. I took of points for the overpriced ice cream and some of the customer service.

Ambiance was relaxing and plenty of space for big or small groups. If you like coffee, this one is for you. If you like a fruitier taste, the mango is phenomenal. Coconut tasted amazing, the inner custard paired well with the outer shell of the chocolate. This is a dessert lover's paradise. The price is a bit expensive, however, it's great for sharing.
