Had a little time to kill in the area on a Sunday morning and was brought to Pilich Station Grill by the other positive reviews. I'm glad I listened to them and here I am giving my own. Small and unassuming classic diner that is clearly run with pride and love by Joe and his family. Joe met and welcomed me as I entered and I sat at the counter. I was promptly served coffee and water. Ordered the house specialty Huevos Rancheros. My order came quickly and was fantastic. Joe took special care to keep my coffee full and fresh and to not rush me out. His wife and children were working as well, so this is the perfect place to bring your family and be taken care of by a lovely family. I don't know when I'll be in the area again to stop by, but locals and others passing through should definitely stop at Pilich Station Grill. read more

I didn't notice the interior pictures are 2-8 years old on Yelp. I decided to go based on recent reviews. I was highly disappointed upon walking in. The exterior was ran down, the interior was claustrophobic, and the overwhelming smell of grease took my breath away. I set for a short time and decided to leave without eating. After seeing 5 stars and 81 reviews I thought this would be the best place for breakfast while I was in the area. When I drove up I thought that they were closed because not a single car was in the parking lot, red flag but I went in anyway. The breakfast menu was limited and categorized with groups of three, omelets, skillets, wraps and eggs only had three options for some reason which I was not feeling any of them. I settled on the meat lovers wrap which came fast and hot. I was kind of disappointed when my breakfast hit the table because it was a wrap only on the plate and nothing else, most every other restaurant serves a side with a plate and other pictures of the wraps shows a side with them. I use to think places were cheapskates when they give chips as a side but this is beyond that because potatoes and veggies are so cheap. The meat lovers wrap came super hot but after the first few bites the meat lovers flavor didn't develop because all I could taste was the scrambled eggs and the tortilla. The meat lovers wrap is just meat and eggs, no cheese or anything else to layer flavors so it was a very boring breakfast to sat the least. I don't know if it was the wrong place or the wrong dish but my weekend out of town breakfast was pretty disappointing and I wouldn't return, swing and a miss here. read more

I've been to this mom & pop what feels like a million times by now and I have to say that there is not a better place around for breakfast food. The people are so nice and accommodating. If there's something you want, they'll make it for you no problem. Good to note: they have a new and improved menu with a lot more selections-- hooray for a variety of eggs Benedict's with hollandaise sauce all the time! Perfectly poached eggs EVERY time. My aunt and I dined for the first time at pilich station 6/25/22. We was seated right away and our server was so warm and welcoming. We both ordered breakfast wraps; I ordered a gyro flavor and my aunt ordered the Italian flavor. (They were so delicious) The cook came out to ask us how did we like the food and we shared our warm compliments on the food! I found this restaurant on Yelp while visiting from the D. The girls wanted IHOP. I said "oh, nay nay!"... I prefer to stay away from chains and support local, hard working folks. In this case, as in most, wise choice! Off the beaten path, there seems to be a shortage of patrons, this is a travesty! Pleasant people are found operating a clean and comfy diner. And the most important part- delicious, fresh food at reasonable prices! I had the "south of the border" skillet.... don't call it the "Mexican skillet", as I was corrected in the terminology. This was the best skillet I have had ever! The eggs were heavenly velvet and delicious. My fork went through with ease, no hardened ingredients. I was amazed how each bite seemed to melt in my mouth. It was so good! There is a bit of spice with the peppers they add, so if heat is not your thing, let them know. SO HAPPY WE WENT! The spot we were going for breakfast was closed on Mondays, so we decided to check out Pilich Station Grill. Seems it's been around for a long time but somehow we didn't know about it! Found out about it by chance through an internet search. So, we went for our first visit (definitely will not be our last). What a cozy little retro spot! Joe and his wife Sandy (owners) could not have been more pleasant. The food was fresh, simple and delicious. My son had French toast (which I tried) and it was fantastic! Hard to get good French toast outside of home. Clean, friendly, fresh & good. Can't go wrong.
