Living in Beverly Hills, residents are limited to this taxi service, or so I thought. I have used their services a million times, but you should know several key things before you decide to use this company: 1) Most are of them are very rude and take longer routes than necessary, the only one that was nice was a Russian man that I had, otherwise most are of middle eastern descent. (Just an honest observation) 2) They always are upset when you don't have cash and they have to actually do some paper work in taking a carbon copy of your card. Yellow cab always has a swiper in the back and they don't mind credit cards, not one angry mean look when I pull it out. (plus they have an app "taxi magic.") 3) Most of the time, the cab stinks and is not well taken care of 4) So you have been warned. If you would like other alternatives, I would call independent taxi company or use UBER, which is a town car/limo service that will charge you close to the same in a new clean smelling upscale car. They also have an app for iphone users. Check their website and you won't have to suffer the rudeness of most of these drivers. Also, they charge a minimum of $10 if you use a credit card, regardless of distance and they want you to tell them you are using a credit card soon as you step foot in the cab so they can give you mean glares and be even more rude. read more

BEWARE TRAVELERS taking cab from Beverly Hills hotels... Driver by the last name of Nazarian (cab # 7893) driver ID # 3191 tried to rip us off by charging us a metered rate (Rate 1) from BH hotel to LAX which should be a $38 FLAT RATE. Little did he know we could read. Rate card is plastered on the window! His excuse was that headquarters determines rate and sends it digitally. BS! Also, refused to take credit card and did not have change in him. Called cab company to complain and advised hotel but skeptical any action will be taken. read more

I will never call Beverly Hills Cab again. I called at 10pm for a cab to pick me up in Beverly Hills. It was not until 11:30pm that a cab finally showed up!!! I called dispatch at least 4 times during that time and everyone I spoke to was unapologetic and unconcerned with the fact that I had been waiting so long. One star is too good for this horrible company. My car was unavailable for a week so I needed to take a cab home from work. The first two nights went okay, although I was grossed out by the old, broken down and smelly cabs. The third night I waited out in front of my office and when the cab pulled up, another woman tried to get in. Even though the driver had my name as the person who ordered the cab, the other woman was going to LAX (instead of 10 minutes away like me) so he took her and left me on the street. When I called BH Cab to explain what happened and ask for another cab, the dispatcher said that he wasn't sure if there was another cab in the vicinity. There was no apology. Granted that this was Beverly Hills Cab and I was in Beverly Hills, one would think that there would be a cab nearby. I held on for 5 minutes until he came back and said that a cab was on the way. Fifteen minutes later I was still standing there. I called back to find out where the cab was. The supervisor screamed at me, called me names that I cannot repeat here, cussed at me and hung up. I had to call United Cab and wait another 10 minutes. I'll never use BH Cab again but I get the feeling that lost customers and bad reviews won't make any difference to them. They obviously don't care about customer service or repeat business. read more

Definitely the worst cab experience ever! I've been in more than my fair share of cabs (DC, NY, etc) and this was by far the most horrible ride ever. By luck (or lack thereof) of the draw we were assigned a Beverly Hills Cab after returning home to LAX. We greeted the driver, he did not speak to us. We got in the cab, it smelled like stale cigarette smoke. My husband gave the driver our address, and the driver never acknowledged that he heard him. The airport traffic was heavy getting of the airport, but once we were on the street, the driver began driving as though he were on the speedway, easily doubling the actual speed limit. Oh, and did I mention that although there were signs posted for us to "buckle up" the driver never put his seat belt on. I would not use this company again, and would simply wait for the next cab if I were you. read more

I ALWAYS use Beverly Hills cab. They have been my go-to cab company for years. They are always on time, courteous, and diligent. I started using them after I lost my wallet. One of their cab drivers found the wallet and turned it in to the company. They called me and I got my wallet back intact. Ever since then, I have trusted the company and the cab drivers with whatever trip I needed to take. I recommend them highly. read more

I so wish I could leave zero stars. The driver was nasty when I couldn't give him my destination address immediately -- because I dropped my phone and the battery came out when I was loading my three large suitcases into the cab myself. Then when his credit card machine wouldn't work he started cursing me and telling me viciously that I didn't know English. Except I do. I was born and raised in Minnesota. As if that has any effect on the functionality of the credit card machine anyway. After he called in my payment, he refused me a receipt because I didn't use the card machine...the one that didn't work. I have never been treated so rudely--and pay 70 DOLLARS for it. I will avoid this company at all costs forever. There's never a reason to treat another person the way I was treated, let alone a paying customer. read more

I was driving down the 405 S today near the Sunset exit in Brentwood/Bel-Air. I was driving in the slow lane (right most lane) at 65 MPH. A taxi van behind me was tailgating me. I don't think I need to go faster than the speed limit, WHICH IS WHY I DRIVE IN THE SLOW LANE. Taxi flashes high beams at me. Then it swerves around me (at which point I notice it is van 3182 for a company w/ the phone # 310-273-6611). It tailgates the car in the lane next to me (which was going at least 70 MPH) and then cuts me off to take the Sunset exit... At which point it then tailgates the car taking the off-ramp. Wow. I phoned the company, and the person answering the phone has the nastiest tone in her voice. I tell her my issue, and she transfers me to someone's voicemail. I can't imagine using a company where the taxi drivers drive that dangerously. read more

On Friday at approximately 12 am we rode in taxi #3166 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel it was filmed on the destination 818 Doheny's security video and unfortunately left an Iphone in the taxi The driver answered and promised to return it and we offered a reward. He has not. When you call the company they are rude and will not offer any assistance. They state it is only call center and they do not register their drivers contact numbers. I asked if someone was hurt or had a problem what would happen. BEWARE of using this company because they have no idea of who they are hiring to drive you. No wonder everyone using Uber read more

NEVER NEVER NEVER USE THIS CAB COMPANY. Our company had corporate account with them since 2000 and they were known for good service and reliability. In the last year or so, they have gone completely the other way. They would be habitually late for pick-ups in our Santa Monica office (at least 15 minutes late) and really late for residential pick-ups. What sealed the deal for me is when I was traveling with my family on vacation and they were supposed to pick me up in a van or station wagon. I called twice the day before to confirm pickup time and the type of vehicle and they assured me that they would comply. Next morning at 6:30 am, they did not arrive at the scheduled time. I called twice more and they said a cab was on its way. After waiting 30 min (and 3 other calls), they informed me that the dispatch manager would talk to me. Their dispatch manager then informed me that there was no "guarantee" that a van would be coming. Needless to say, I was unhappy with their response. Fed up with them, I ended up driving to LAX myself, parking the car in an off-site lot and vowing never to use Beverly Hills Cab. I also canceled our corporate account with them (averaging about $2,000/year). NEVER NEVER NEVER use this service. read more

Perfect example of why people take uber... I only take taxis from the airport now, for the convenience factor - they're right there in line. For the 2nd time in a row, I had to insist that my driver type my address into GPS (rather than going off their "gut" for what is going to be the fastest way). For the 2nd time in a row, my driver then ignored the GPS. When I confronted him on why he ignored the directions (that I clearly wanted him to follow), he started arguing with me, saying that he had 19 years of experience and he knew the best way. He refused to concede, and said he didn't care if I reported it, so I asked him to pull over and let me out. He was happy to - saying that he would charge me $19 for not even going 2 miles, because that was his minimum. I paid and got out. It's this arrogance, lack of care for customer satisfaction, and complacency that will make taxis a thing of the past. Btw- I picked up an uber that followed the gps - taking us directly to the freeway (that was WIDE OPEN, rather than the side streets the taxi was taking). read more

Like others commenting here, I was overcharged on a trip from LAX on May 1. Not the cab company of my choice, it was next in the taxi line at my terminal. Usually the charge from LAX to my home in Santa Monica is around $35-$40 dollars; this guy took a strange round-about route, and the charge was nearly $60. I was returning from an exhausting trip, and didn't react in time when he missed the appropriate exit - which NO cab driver has ever done in my decades of taking cabs in LA. Got STOOD UP by one of the airport shuttle services this morning. No van. No phone call. 10 minute wait on the customer service number. Disconnected. Transferred and on hold again. You all know the name of that tune. Called Beverly Hills Cab and hollered HELP! WE NEED TO GET TO LAX IN A HURRY! Great driver got my husband to LAX in plenty of time to get through TSA and catch his flight on time. Never using any of the shuttle companies again. Their days have come and gone. It's a shame that trying to do the right thing by taking a cab versus driving after a night out turns out to be a nightmare. We were picked up by a Beverly Hills cab, well I left my purse in the cab. They take no responsibility or even try to assist me in any way. The fact that my phone was shut off almost instantly after we got out. Then when I finally get a hold of the company they tell me he had a fare right after that at 2:30 am and paid cash and dropped off on a street corner. Ya, right? Is it so hard to do the right thing? I just experienced a cab service that every cab company should be taking notes of this one. I was out clubbing Saturday night in Hollywood with friends where they had to go meet with their girl friends in another club. So after having a good time all by myself with few new friends, i find myself without a wallet because it was left in my friends car. Had no money and no car with me at the end of the night. So i decided to walk home that i never thought could take me more then 2 hours. Buckley, after few blocks of walking, I see Beverly Hills Blue and White Cab pulling next to me offering me a free ride to my house only if it was less then 5 miles away. And i could not say no to it. While i was in the cab, i decided to ask the driver of the car why he decided to give me the free ride? His answer was simple. You cant walk straight, there were group of guys about a block away from where i picked you up looking for a trouble that I am sure you did not want to get involved in, and at last i have given you a ride before where you ended up tipping me more then you were spouse to. As an appreciation, this is what i want to offer from my end. After that night I have decided who to contact for a taxi service. Thanks Robert. read more

We have been yelled at by their drivers almost every time we've used this company, and then they had the audacity to argue about not getting a tip. We had been using cab services quite regularly as my sister has to go to the hospital for her cancer treatments....at the cancer center, which they knew since they were picking us up and dropping us off there. The dispatch has hung up on my sister when she couldn't give directions to her location because the driver couldn't find her, even though each cab has GPS system to hand. Not exactly what one needs after a long day of poking and prodding and testing. Fine, you don't need to be our friend. But the least I expect is to not be berated for more money for a crappy service by someone who expects to be given directions when their job is to drive and enter an address into a navigation system. Apparently their angry about a certain app- based cab company stealing their business. Maybe they should try actually being pleasant instead of the company making the customer feel like they are doing them a favor, which is actually a paid service they have hired specifically for the purpose of getting from point a to point b. CAB#3140 The driver didn't speak English well and even didn't know how to read address in English. He didn't have basic knowledge where is where and no GPS for help either. Plus terrible attitude, Over charge too! I am a Realtor and my clients came from China and lived in a hotel in Beverly Hills. They called the taxi service from Beverly Hills Cab and showed him my office address at 2375 Huntington Dr. in City of San Marino. The driver drove them all the way to Huntington Beach. He even didn't have GPS for direction. My client has to use her China phone to call me to give the driver direction. Took 3hours from Beverly Hills to San Marino. He charged $165. Let the customer paid his mistake. Didn't even say sorry to my clients. Just couldn't believe the company heir such a unprofessional driver. Will never use their service again !! read more

I was going to let this slide, but the experience enraged me so much that I downloaded the Yelp app and created an account just to write this review. Ok, let's get started. I called this company at a party to get home and it was pretty loud. The guy who answered practically YELLED at me the whole time because I asked him to repeat himself. I accidentally told the guy the wrong address, so I called the company again and this time, a woman answered. She again, YELLED at me for no apparent reason. I told her that I gave the guy the wrong address and all she said was," THEN WHY DONT YOU WAIT FOR HIM OUTSIDE THE ADDRESS YOU GAVE HIM?!" Also, the person wouldn't even tell me how much the ride was gonna cost. I ended up riding another cab because the guy didn't even come. read more

I am still somewhat speechless 24 hours after my experience. I was picked up at LAX and taken to my home in Los Angeles yesterday February 8, 2017 at approximatly 3:15pm. When we arrived to my home, I reached for my credit card to pay, and the driver responded, "Can you please pay with cash?" Since it was business travel, I usually prefer to pay directly with my company business card. But I was in a nice mood, and I had the cash on hand, so I didn't mind paying cash. During the cash exhange, he looked at me and said,"Thank you sir...but can I be honest with you? The reason I asked you for cash is because most of 'the Black people' play the credit card game on me, and then they get out of the taxi and run. So it is more easy for me that you pay cash. But you are ok, I can tell you are different. I think its mostly the uneducated or drug dealer Blacks that do that." I am still in complete shock. This is why taxicabs are slowing going out of business. What a rude and racist thing to say!! I immediately contacted the owner with this complaint. Without giving any names, including his own name, he practically begged me not to post my experience on social media. But I cannot in all good consciousness leave this experience untold. I am contemplating calling the authorities since this was an LAX pickup, and reporting this company to the better business bureau as well. Please do not accuse me of pulling the "race card." I did or said nothing during the ride to provoke or invite such a racist comment. This is an absolutely reprehensibile display, and all folks, regardless of their skin color, should be applaulled by this experience. And I challenge the owner to respond to this point with some kind of response, defending yourself and your employee, or apologizing. Note I am posting the same review on all three of this company's locations, since they all operate under the same company. I want everyone to know about my experience. read more

At approximately 8:30 pm last Friday a friend of mine and I were late for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, a cabbie who had been sitting on Hollywood Blvd near Highland for sometime I approached and asked him if he could take us to the Hollywood Bowl. He told me he was not working. A few minutes later, a white couple climbed into his cab, and he took off. Racist move at best, but I was offended because he was a fat white guy with a foreign accent, which made him an immigrant, and I assume Russian. I had never experienced anything like that before from any cab company, but fortunately, I have a Lyft app and the Lyft driver got us to the Bowl on time. This experience has made me rethink ever, ever taking a cab again. Especially in Hollywood. read more

Most recent experience (because yes, I give second chances) had me waiting 30 minutes for pickup. 2 calls to dispatch to ask where he was after spending 15 mins outside. Second time, they said the driver drove past, no one was outside and so he left. I'll say I was dressed pretty flamboyantly so I'd be a hard sight to miss, even sitting down as I was. I said I saw the driver do a CA rolling stop in front of the apt then speed off down the adjacent street. Dispatch asked why I didn't flag him down - nice response guys; maybe because his little 'scan' of the property front didn't include spotting me and I left my flare gun at home. No apology upon arrival. Boy do I feel stupid for going back for more after a few previous unremarkable rides. read more

They were once the best, they are now the worst. Seeing the other reviews makes me know I am not alone. Called a cab for the airport..it was late, but arrived. While I was in the cab, dispatch called and asked where I was..I explained that I was in the cab. He asked if I was sure it was one of their cabs. I was. While in the cab, he called AGAIN...I assumed it was a mistake and did not answer. There was a voicemail message calling me a "chicken shit" and accusing me of taking another cab company and LYING to him!! I never have experienced anything like that by a company who's service I paid for. Over the next week, I called several times and emailed...the LEAST I deserved was an apology. Nothing. Not a word. The driver of the cab 18954E1 aka Cab #3208 was so dangerous, cutting across 3 lanes by forcing the car through even when there is barely any space. At the end of the trip, driver refused to take a credit card on a $29 trip from LAX despite having a credit card swipe machine. He was rude and horrible insisting he didn't need to take a credit card and it was his business. I'm not interested in his need to commit tax fraud. If the taxi technically accepts credit cards, the driver should accept them, and also not be horribly rude about it. If you are in line at LAX and this cab company is next up, refuse service and save yourself the trouble of a horrid ride. read more

My roommate recommended this company to me, so I called them the night of my good friend's birthday party. They gave me a 10 minute estimate, but 30 minutes later, were still a no show. Every time I called the cab, they'd see my number and hang up. NEVER AGAIN. read more

As others have mentioned, this use to be a very good cab company. Not anymore! I called a cab and they came on time. On the way over to my destination, all he did was yell at me because I wasn't going that far!! And then he yelled cause he couldn't pull over where I needed for him to drop me off. This happened a quite a few months ago, and I won't name names cause he knows where I live. That is how scary this guy was!!! Obviously the owner doesn't read yelp reviews otherwise this wouldn't continue to happen over and over again. Scheduled a cab 2 days in advance to LAX. Dispatch called me 2 1/2 hours before my flight and told me they weren't sending a cab.

I've been using this cab company for more than a decade and they've yet to let me down. They show up promptly and get me where I want to go. Drivers seem competent. Cabs are in decent shape. I'm not sure what all the complaining here is about. I've yet to have a bad experience with them. read more
