My mom said the facial felt amazing and rejuvenating. Not only was her face treated, but they extended the facial to her neck and chest. They also included a head massage, arm stretches, and an upper lip wax. For my deep tissue massage, my masseuse (I wish I knew her name) was very attentive. Before she began, she asked if I wanted medium pressure or hard pressure. Given it was my first massage I selected medium to start. I have a lot of tension held in my back, due to working on my feet in healthcare, and she really helped relieve years of tension I've gotten used to living with. I never knew my back could be this relaxed! Lol During the whole experience she made sure to check-in and confirm how I was and if anything was painful. Which I appreciated. Her massage was very thorough and the stretches were so satisfying. After our services we ended our appointments with a few minutes in the sauna which was the cherry on top. It is very unlike me to go anywhere that i'm not 100% sure about because, i mean...your brows are on your face, there's no covering them up if they're botched. To my surprise my eyebrows came out STELLAR! I had gotten them done at european wax center a month prior and the woman ruined them and made them uneven. We chatted and she told me how she's been working in Great Neck for 30 years, and how she's run her own business for the last 18 years. She talked about how she sees mothers come with their grown daughters when they visit their parents. I get it, it's like a "for-old-times-sake" place. The color selection is good and Romee did a thorough job on my nails. They also use quality base and top coats. Typically, I have my go-to brand for base coats, which other places charge extra for since it's far superior to the rest, Romee uses it automatically.

During my search for a new salon that uses higher-quality products for a more natural volume look, one of my coworkers recommended Manhasset Lash Bar. Although their price list is a bit more expensive than I'm used to, I booked an appointment anyway because new customers get 30% off. Street parking is hilariously easy compared to the Bayside/Flushing salons I'm used to frequenting. My technician determined that an oval lash map would suit my eye shape best. I decided on a C14 mink set, and was guided into a private area closed off from other customers by actual walls rather than thin curtains. The bed was so comfortable, I fell asleep within a few minutes of starting! Halfway through both eyes, she removed the tapes and gave me a mirror to confirm that I liked how it looked so far. The rest of the appointment went by quickly, it only took about an hour total to apply 110 pieces per eye. As a testament to their work's longevity, ZERO pieces fell out during the first week and they still looked good (slightly thinner, minimal gapping) 3 weeks later when I came back for my fill. Definitely choose mink over silk, it's longer lasting due to how lightweight and soft they are!
