Had a really great experience here, but be sure to call ahead and schedule an appointment. They were very busy on a Saturday afternoon. I called up and they were able to schedule me for an hour from when I called. I was immediately greeted by the manager. She asked what I was there for and why... it was nice to be able to actually explain what I want done and why I'm trying a new salon (basically had a bad experience elsewhere and my acrylic nails were coming off). She recommended gel nails and I got seated with Hannah. She was very meticulous and friendly. She even recommended some TV shows to watch and loved the color I picked. The nails turned out beautiful! It took FOREVER, but was worth it. I live in Queens, so I can't really say whether or not it was expensive... but in my opinion, it was worth what I paid. I think the only issues I had was afterwards I noticed some color on my skin around the nails, but I was able to gently peel that away with tweezers and my nails remained beautiful. read more

The owner removed the gift card from my possession, loudly informing me in front of all the customers that I can no longer use the remaining balance. I was also informed that the fact that cost of the service was applied to the gift card balance was actually a favor to me, and I should appreciate it. I came to get my birthday nails done and I sent the woman* manager* photos of references that I wanted PRIOR to our arrival and she said that she could do them. When I arrived a man did my nails at first he was very friendly. He did not do my gel manicure close to my cuticles, grant you I barely have any cuticles and he tried to blame me by saying "It's your cuticles" so it looked very strange, I asked him to redo FOUR nails, and he said something under his breath and I asked him politely what did you say? He said "hmmm" three times. I felt so uncomfortable I knew he was talking badly about me to the other workers. He ended up standing up and left. Why not just speak to me like an adult? So another nail tech came over and attempted to do my nails. I started to cry because I was so stressed out! I had a 6-year-old with me, and l needed to set a good example for her. I didn't want conflict. Then this new woman tried to do my nails. This new woman wasn't able to achieve the look that I wanted she was very sweet. so the lady * manager * that I originally sent the photos to attempted to do my nails and she did not achieve the look she said SHE COULD do via Instagram. I asked her "what can you do" so maybe I can change the design. She said to go to Instagram very rudely. Then told me "You can't have it just like the photo" I told her my nails looked like stitches, not the design I asked for. I left very unhappy with nails that I did not want. Luckily, they did not charge me for one design that they did accurately after many attempts. Meanwhile, they said they could do it. The original man who attempted to do my nails did not apologize at all, he was out of sight. When you enter this establishment, it has a nice vibe, but don't tell someone that you can achieve something and you can't. Very rude! I don't recommend this place. OH MY GOD. If you are within two hours of this place, go here. Hell, I'd take a PLANE to get my nails done by Jenny. Best best best nail salon I've ever been to. I am RELIGIOUS with getting my nails done. And I am PICKY. I recently moved to Yonkers and searched for hours for a nail place that hit my standards. And let me tell you, the 1 hour drive is 100% worth it. Jenny? A queen. A god. I'm obsessed. She's amazing. You have a picture? She will REPLICATE IT. She is so talented I would give her my first born in exchange for acrylics. She takes her time. Never makes me feel like I ask for too much. I hate it when people give me attitude about a design I want. Jenny? She says "that's so cute! I can do that!" I would go to Jenny for LIFE. The compliments never stop with my nails. Everyone loves them. Jenny is single handedly responsible for my self confidence boost. Now let's talk about the best part. The PRICE. Everyone else around me charges 120ish. Anywhere in the city? 150. And that's fine. Rent is expensive. Jenny could literally charge double and it would be appropriate for the skill she has. Also, the places around me act like they are Jesus Christ himself. There's so many rules prior to showing up. Like "we will 100% charge you $50 acrylic removal fee if we did not place the original acrylics. We would NEVER build on someone else's work." Or "if you are 30 second late we will charge you $100." Like bye. Am I signing up for a life saving surgery? So pretentious. Jenny works with what you have. And she understands that traffic exists in the world. I've showed up 10 minutes late because ya know, car accidents. And she is just the sweetest. And I've never paid more than $70 dollars for my nails that are very complicated art.
