Dr. Bob is the most amazing Dentist! He and his staff are personable, as pain-free as possible, reasonably priced, and accepts Delta Dental. I hadn't been to a dentist in years because I had such terrible experiences. My friend referred me to Dr. Bob, and I was incredibly pleased. I no longer fear the dentist, and he is not hard to make an appointment to see. Just park on one of the side streets in the meters for more reasonable parking fees (avoid the expensive building parking). Update: I recently sent a fellow yelper to see Dr. Bob. She had incredible fear of dentists and sent me a PM to ask more questions. After giving her more information along with tips for using meditation and self-hypnosis as a way to deal with FEAR-O-DENTIST, she agreed to go. I am very happy to report that he is an excellent dentist and that everyone who works for him is very nice as well. Their COVID precautions make me feel safe. I had composite veneers done out of state I did almost a year ago, unfortunately the three front ones chipped so I was in an urge to get them fixed ASAP somewhere with reasonable prices (and that I can trust with fixing my composite veneers) it's very hard to find a good place in LA. So I found Dr. Jelicich's office and decided to give it a try! My first visit there I left happy and pleased. I love how he fixed my teeth, they honestly never looked this good. I found Dr. Bob to be extremely kind, gentle and not intimidating at all. When I told him that It had been 2 years since I had been to a dentist, he listened and nodded as I told my story of my last dental encounter. He thoroughly and painlessly cleaned my teeth, and was very complimentary of their condition even though I hadn't been to the dentist in so long. He took full X-Rays and found no cavities. When the cleaning was finished, he still had the x-rays up on his computer and gave me a mini lecture on tooth anatomy, which I found interesting -- he really knows his stuff! I like it when doctors take the time out to explain different things or tell me how things work. Anyway, his office staff are great. The view of from his office is amazing (Hollywood Hills). This is the first time I relied solely on Yelp! to find a dentist. LA is a city where vanity is paramount, I found many dentists (sometimes extremely) capitalizing on these needs. Jelicich is the real deal. An honest-to-goodness good guy and an amazing dentist. I had a crown issue. A front tooth.... Way back when, I started with a dentist that simply overcharged and my (very good) dental insurance balked at the idea of paying those prices. So I was out of pocket - a lot. I was then referred to another dentist by a buddy who prided himself on 'celebrity' clients. This guy said I needed all four front teeth removed and implanted, a root treatment, and some other whackadoo excuse of an alignment procedure - that totaled 6-freaking thousand dollars. I mean, are you serious? Frustrated, I turned to Yelp. Bob has a 100% rating, and when I visited him, he was everything people said he was. Honest, reasonable, patient and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are happy. I cannot say enough good things, but you guys already have. read more

I've met some kind strangers before, and Dr. Jelicich just jumped into the top 5. Long story short, I went in for a cavity filling and made it through a few assistants and an x-ray procedure before Dr. Jelicich himself looked at the tooth, explained to me what the problem really was, and refused to charge me for even a check-up appointment. Previous to this I had talked to him on the phone (unknowingly), and all I can say is that he is a capable and phenomenal guy. Can't attest to the quality of the dental work itself, but a.) the doctor knows what he's doing and b.) is an honest and altruistic person. When I actually do have a cavity, I'll be going back. I made an appointment with Dr. Jelicich based entirely on yelp reviews. I went in for just a cleaning. He was definitely a nice guy but seeing as I didn't have any dental issues, I didn't spend more than 3 minutes with him. However, the hygienist was probably one of the worst I've had. The cleaning was incredibly awkward (I felt like they didn't really know what they were doing) and in the end, it didn't feel like a very thorough cleaning (and there were 1 or 2 missed spots). So overall, while Dr. Jelicich and his staff were really friendly, the office immaculate with nice views, and in that regard, is worthy of the 5 stars on yelp; in the end, I just was not pleased with the cleaning and will be staying with my current dentist. read more

Holy sh*t, how have I not written on Yelp before to say how awesome Dr. Jelicich is? As with many other folks here, this is the first time I picked a dentist from Yelp, and boy, I could not be happier. I had gone to a guy on my terrible hmo dental plan, who told me I needed some crowns, and a bunch of other incredibly expensive work. I told this to Dr. J. after he looked in my mouth and you could almost hear the sigh as he worried for the souls of his brothers in the dental profession. Then he did some work (which surely was extensive, but nowhere NEAR what the shyster was saying needed to be done), and sent me on my way. Ever since then, damn my dental plan, I pay for Dr. J out of my own pocket - he's that worth it. He will never recommend work you don't need, and conversely, if he says you need it - get it done. Fantastic bedside manner, and his staff are all top-notch - from the woman who takes your appointments to the dental assistant who cleans your teeth. read more

Robert Jelicich has truly raised the bar of patient care to new heights. In an episode of emergency dentistry, a misfortunate loss of a veneer (other dentist) the day before an important meeting was followed by the very good fortune of discovering Dr. Jelicich. He readily offered to see me during his lunch and immediately created a "temporary" (read: good for two years) replacement. Dr. Jelicich took his entire hour constructing the new replacement which in form, color, and fit, surpassed the original $1000 veneer. For this emergency dentistry he charged an extremely modest sum and I left with renewed confidence in my smile and my future dental needs. read more

I called to get a price for a deep cleaning... which is very expensive for an uninsured person like me. They hygienist that answered my call responded by saying "are you sure you need a deep cleaning? If you'd like to come we'll start with a regular cleaning see if you need a deep cleaning." I went in and they determined that I didn't need a deep cleaning... which my last dentist tried to sell me on. The service was smooth and painless and Dr. Jelicich checked me out afterword to get a sense for my dental history and give me some gum care advice. It's so nice to be able to trust a dentist and not always feel like you have to protect your wallet. I'll definitely be going back there. read more

He has seen me through some of the most challenging dental issues one can imagine. He has always met those challenges with expert knowledge and a great deal of compassion and empathy. Dr. Jelicich is by far the best dentist that I have ever gone to. When I went into his office, I hadn't been to the dentist in over 5 years, so needless to say I needed a few things done. To sum it up, he was very kind and patient, he has great prices and is a master at his craft. I was so impressed by his work that I told my father who has had bad experiences with dentists so hadn't been in over 20 years. He enden up needing extensive work done and Dr. Jelicich pretty much changed his life with the dental work he did and renewed his faith in dentists (at least Dr. Jelicich). Sooo, my father told my mom who had been going to a overpriced dentist to get an implant. My mother had been getting this work done for over a year with her dentist ripping her off and never completing the work. Dr. Jelicich hooked her up! She can finally smile again with confidence. Loose tooth saved!! On Saturday I bit into a huge toothpick in a pickled herring roll up(I know, I'm from Denmark). The tooth ached and was loose over the weekend, so by Sunday evening I figured that a visit to the dentist was necessary ASAP. I work in the Miracle Mile area, and besides the Encino dentist is closed Monday, so I decided to use Yelp and found Dr. Jelicich. I placed a call at 7:59 AM Monday morning, and the secretary set up an appointment right away. I was at the secretary's desk at 8:35. Due to a cancellation the doctor had the morning off, but she had made him come in anyway. "Oh, he knows he works for me", she joked, when I asked her how she made that happen. "He's lucky to have you working here", I think I said. I knew I was. Dr. Jelicich's office is the Cadillac of dentists offices, with a gorgeous view off the Hollywood Hills! His approach was gentlemanlike, meticulous and extremely effective. He bonded the tooth to an existing permanent retainer, and took extra care to make the bond heavy duty but smooth. I have no pain in the tooth now, and am assured it has gotten the best possible chance for surviving. I have no insurance and I had just gotten out of another dentists office on Friday for a three sided composite filling. I was not looking forward to paying for this. However much I dreaded it, I know that emergency situations place a time demand on the dentist and his office. I looked at the view again and the clean, high end equipment and technology. I met Dr. Jelicich while buying rollerskates on Craigslist. I had never rollerskated before, and he taught me how to put them on and take them off and even skate around his beautiful backyard. I mentioned that I needed a dentist, and he let me know that he was seeing patients. We exchanged information and I set up a visitation at his gorgeous office (Honestly, the view alone is worth a visit) in the Miracle Mile area. On my end, I was going through a very stressful period in my life and my anxiety was manifesting in worrying that I would need a deep cleaning, gum graft, and other miscellaneous procedures that I had throughly researched on WebMD. I think Dr. Jelicich was surprised by the amount of dental knowledge that I had brought into our first visitation. But, he maintained a professional and caring demeanor and did not belittle me. He throughly listened to me, and even went so far as to measure my gum height and address each of my anxieties. It turned out I didn't need any of the procedures and he recommended a routine cleaning. I recently came in for that teeth cleaning and the staff was courteous, professional, and extremely care-oriented. I felt as if my needs were put first, and I swear to god Doreen made the entire cleaning feel as if I were taking part in a spa day. Well, he did my crown a few months ago and it already fell out. When I had a gum infection that made my face look like Marlon Brando in the Godfather, he acted like it wasn't a pressing problem and said I could wait on it. It only got worse. He should have just fixed it earlier. And his dental assistant stepped over the line. He sent gchats to my private email address like "Hey, how's it going?" and "Are you still on vacation?" I went to see him because a different dentist tried to convince me I needed a bunch of dental work done. I decided to get a second opinion. Dr. Jelicich took new x-rays and showed them to me on the computer straight away. He then explained what a cavity would look like (if I had one) and showed me that the x-rays looked good and healthy. After that, he did a thorough exam just to be sure - no cavities, no gum surgery necessary. I had a great experience with Dr. Jelicich and I'm very happy to have found him. Dr. Bob has moved his practice down to Wilshire blvd I believe. If you are looking for a good dentist this guy is really sweet and kind and gentle. He really looks out for you. One time I was getting veneers and he DROVE me himself to the people who make the veneers so that they could do a perfect color match, when was the last time your dentist drove you in his car somewhere? Not counting the time he took you out for cocktails and you woke up 2 days later with dirty pants and a wig on your head that you didn't recognize. Seriously, this guy is so nice to all his patients, they all volunteer to be referals so that if you have any questions you can call them so that they can bore you with their personal stories on how great he is.
