If I had to try I would list the VAST selection of wines, spirits, beers, equally attractive nonalcoholic beverages (EANABs for short), snacks, glasswear, weekend tastings, and FIVE CENT SALES. What are five cent sales you may ask? A $0.05 sale is when selected wines are buy one get one for $0.05--easy wine tasting party! I also love how knowledgeable every staff member is--at each and every location. If they don't know something they have tools at their disposal to look something up for you. I've come in just to peruse on more than one occasion. So much inspiration! Finally, this location has free wifi, so if you need to look up ingredients for that one cocktail you're itching to make you can do it FO' FREE. The old lady is always working alone and can't move faster than a turtle cause she's obviously drunk from the night before. Was waiting 30 minutes for 1 item and the manger decides to yell at me and almost physically assault me for asking him why it was taking so long. Says it's not his problem. Clean and a good selection of spirits, from wine to beer and liqueurs. Something different about this one that I haven't seen in other Bev Mos is that they carry a bunch of items you would not expect, from ice cream to milk to toothbrushes and toothpaste. Kind of like a convenience store met with a spirits store and had a baby. I was able to cut out a trip to the grocery store to get some ice cream and sodas, so that was cool. Workers were helpful enough, nothing extraordinary but not bad either. read more

I was profiled going into this location! As soon as I walked in this old lady came over and watched us the entire time we were in the store, it was a very uncomfortable feeling. I continued shopping and went to the front of the store to pay she ID'd my husband who was purchasing, and I was simply accompanying him either way I am over 21 myself. And she asked for both of our IDs in a rude and judgy manner. I was definitely caught off guard bc never in my life have I had to show my ID if I wasn't the one buying anything. She assumed I was underage for some reason, looking for any way to deny us service, again I wasn't purchasing anything and have full right to be in the store as I am over 21. She didn't do that to the people in front of us, and it was frustrating knowing it was simply because of how we looked. Please train your employees to do better and not make assumptions, she ended up not needing my ID when I questioned her about it, and I wonder why...probably bc it wasn't policy in the first place. read more

I usually purchase an assorted case or two. I selected the wine after placing it all on the counter. Since it's difficult to carry 12-24 bottles, i asked for a box. The cashier asked me to move the wine to another counter so i asked again for a box. I was told she won't give a box until after i make the purchase. Definitely made it seem it was too much of an inconvenience. Best find another store who wants your business. read more

We've ordered from here a few times through Go Puff, and are consistently disappointed in the quality of products. Maybe my own fault for purchasing food items from here since they primarily sell alcohol. But we ordered a few essentials one night when we were sick. 3 out of the 5 items we got were expired. We purchased in January 2024, and those 3 items all expired in November 2023. One was a loaf of bread. Wasn't feeling well and truthfully not paying a ton of attention when I pulled a few slices out and toasted them. Noticed they tasted off but didn't think anything of it since I was sick. Later went to make my daughter a sandwich and that's when I noticed the crust was covered in green mold. Another time we ordered some frozen items. All of which were badly freezer burnt and all tasted terrible. Management needs to better pay attention to how long these things are on their shelves. They make for a nice late night order spot when I am in a pinch, and go puff is priced so well, but I will not be ordering from them again. read more

They are like most BevMo locations and have wine and beer tastings on certain days. Call ahead and check, I like to go to the tastings, because I like to give wine as gifts to girlfriends and I usually bring a bottle to any party we attend. So it's nice to try different wines with out having to go to a winery. It is a smaller store compared to the one in Modesto and the one I'm used to in the Mountain View, but thy do have a good selection and staff has always been super nice to me. Close to home, I come here often but after tonight I don't plan on visiting again. As I said, I come here often, after making a selection, I walked up to the counter to make my purchase- a person standing over 10 feet away said "I'm in line" ok, sorry -no sign stating the line was somewhere different than usual. Then the clerk very rudely said " yeah the line is over there!" And flapped his hand in no real direction. Again no sign telling people that there's a random place for a line (only 1 other person was even near the register) Very disappointed. read more

Bevmo has a great selection of pretty much anything alcohol, what they don't have is good pricing. I bought a 1.75 liter of Jim Beam at BM for $27, Costco has the same size for $18.49. Now before everyone starts saying "yea but you need to be a member" I'm here to tell you, you Do Not need to be a member. Anyone that's 21 yrs old or older can buy alcohol at Costco without membership. So if you're thinking about buying any alcohol you just might want to try Costco first, thats if you like saving $$. I love this place. They have almost everything you would need besides maybe some super specialty item and even then they might have it afterall. The employees are really nice and they often make really good recommendations. The prices are actually really good and often cheaper than normal if you have a membership and the membership is free. The one star reviews are ignorant; one is even for the wrong store and seriously, why even mention the body type of the employee? Anyways this place is great read more

I had a great experience with a worker here for the 5 minutes I was there. I wish I was able to catch her name, but she was younger and very bubbly and had pink hair...whoever she was, she was great. As I walked into the Modesto store, the heavy set woman glared at me and never acknowledged me with any type of greeting. Having never stepped foot into this place, I looked around briefly and couldn't tell what the order was of things and asked her if she could help me locate two bottles of wine. She ACTUALLY rolled her eyes at me and trudged over to where they were located. I then commenced to my disappointment in asking her for help in locating a special type of beer I was looking for, for a birthday gift She found something that was similar, but it was not the item. I saw the direction she came from, went over to see if I could possibly find what I was looking for and could, again not find any type of order or even where she found what she brought to me. I saw another employee in their small enclave (office) and asked if he could help me, and he said, "what do you need, NOW?" I'm so serious. So, while I won't miss the rude "non-customer" behavior of these two people, I'm pretty finished with this store. I called the Riverbank store and was treated entirely differently. These people need training in even mediocre customer relations. They are woefully lacking as it stands. read more
