Lazy workers that don't care about why they are getting a paycheck. I am guessing more patrons will just dump their shopping carts wherever in the parking lot rather than return to cart depots. You don't care about your patrons they will show you the same kindness. Won't be back to this store. Came here on 6/10/2017. BevMo is located in a little strip mall. Kind of out of place. I like the location though because there's a lot of parking. When we walked in we were greeted. Staff was really friendly. As I was browsing there were several employees walking the store seeing if anyone needed help, which I thought was pretty awesome. I forgot just how much stuff BevMo has. It's easy to get carried away forgetting about time in this store. I wasn't looking for anything in particular. I found some new IPA I got for my dad to try. I also got some non-alcoholic root beer. A lady came up to us while we were browsing, and invited us to do the wine tasting. Which we did. All in all, BevMo was a good experience, and pretty fun to shop at. It was my first time going to an alcohol store here in California and I was recommended to go here. I thought it was going to be a small store but it turned out to be a bigger store than I originally thought! I walked in and was greeted right away by a friendly employee. This whole place was clean and there's a lot of selection! They even have this special where you buy a bottle and buy a second bottle for only 5 cents, so if you love alcohol, this is the perfect place for you. I'm definitely coming back here to try different drinks and see what suits me best. read more

Came here yesterday looking for some pumpkin beer and as expected BevMo did not disappointed. They have a huge selection of pumpkin beers that it really caught me off guard. If you're looking for alcohol there is a good chance you'll come out of here spending far more than you should have. They have an extensive selection of beers, wine's and pretty much everything else. It's a fine place to find what you need. This location is really close to Valley Fair Mall, and is even walkable. Everyone is pretty nice here and the layout is pretty simple to find what you're looking for. Thumbs up. read more

Jackpot! They have one of my all time favorite beers here, Hitachino white ale. I've been to a bunch of BevMo's and specialty beer stores and Hitachino is kinda difficult to find. What makes Hitachino beer so different is that they use European beer making technology with traditional Japanese brewing techniques. For these brews, they mature their beer in shochu casks. Shochu is like a stronger sake. This brewing process helped Htachino's white ale win gold medals in several beer competitions in the US and UK. Upon entering the store I was enthusiastically greeted and complimented on about my shirt! That's one way to get customers to feel good about your store! The store itself has a large selection of alcohol and organized by category and they had other items to accompany drinks as well. I was here to buy a birthday present for my bf, specifically the limited edition Futura x Hennessy or Hennessy Black. I had a person help me and although he claimed there wasn't much a difference between the two we came to the conclusion that the limited edition bottles would be far more special than the Hennessy Black. The limited edition bottles are numbered and 200,000 were created with labels designed by Futura. I got the bottle of Hennessy brought to the counter and went on my merry way. read more

My favorite place to shop for booze! I love how the beers are sorted by region/country, and this is the only place where you can see in-depth information like rating, tasting notes, etc. on everything from beer, wine, champagne to liquor. I personally love that buy 1 get 1 for $0.05 wine sale they always have. Best time to stock up - seriously. My entire study room is lined with 90+ rated wines that all cost under $15 each. If you're into craft brew, there's tons of it. Lagunitas, Drakes, Deschutes, Stone IPA, Hop Stoopid, Firestone, Speakeasy, etc. There's so much more but these just happen to be my favorites. Every Friday from 4-7pm and Saturday from 2-5pm they have little wine and beer tastings that are open to everyone to join. The employees are always extremely nice. I think you're supposed to pay a few bucks for unlimited tasters but they usually wave me over to join for free. read more

** This review is really for BevMo's online service. ** Last night, my family and I headed to Santa Clara to be with my wife's family for Christmas Eve. Since I knew we would be close to a BevMo, I went online and checked their catalog. I found and placed an order for an Irish beer my Dad's been looking for forever (Murphy's Red) and was told via their website my order could be picked up not only in Santa Clara, but any BevMo. When we arrived at the store, I told my wife I didn't want to go to her folks house empty handed, so I decided to pick-up a few six packs of Peroni beer. Well, that idea was crushed when I saw how long the check-out lines were. At least a 20 minute wait. What did I expect on Xmas eve anyway, right? With my head hung low, I put the beer I wanted back and headed to the online pick-up area, which is located behind the cigar cases. When I got there, I noticed there was No line and No wait. I gave an employee a copy of my receipt and my DL and he in turn handed me a box that contained my online purchased beer (and 18 year old rum). I was in and out of the store, on Xmas Eve within 5 minutes. My advice to you my fellow Yelper's. Before you head to BevMo the next time to pick-up that bottle of wine, jack or those beers, go online first. Place your order and pay for it in advance and save yourself a few moments. Whatever you do - don't do curbside pickup. Sign tells you to check in via email and you wait for at least 20 minutes. It's more time than going in and checking out, absolutely ridiculous. I forgot my wallet, it's never been an issue anywhere. My husband tried to pick up my order with me in the car and didn't release our order. Yet other places and delivery services allow as long as the person there is 21. I get this is policy but doesn't excuse we waited 20 something minutes to get told this. The staff at this location are AWESOME! 2 weeks before my wedding, I walked in asking about different wines for my wedding day. Oliver, the assistant store manager, went above and beyond. He understood my budget and suggested wines from the Nickel wine sale. Not being a wine connoisseur myself, he was extremely knowledgeable about various wines which would "appeal to the masses." Oliver quickly threw together an impromptu wine tasting for me, consisting of 4 wines and 2 champagnes. Long story short...i ended up ordering 8 cases of wine and 4 cases of champagne. AND Oliver set up FREE delivery to my venue! Even though i paid the venue corkage fee, I still saved $$$, AND served better quality wine and champagne than what my venue offered! The cashier that checked me out also said that Oliver was a wealth of knowledge, and that he was trying to soak up his knowledge also! Kudos to Oliver! Give that man a promotion! read more

I feel like this BevMo is better stocked than the one at the Great Mall (which is closer to us). We were looking for chocolate stouts for a chocolate themed party and they have the Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout 4 pack and 18.7 oz bottles. They also have the Rogue Chocolate Stout (but in the 22 oz bottles only), and Young's Double Chocolate Stout (in both cans and bottles). I also like the funny/interesting descriptions they have for each section, rather than the standard, bland "ales/IPA/domestic/imported/etc" labels. This location is definitely our to-go location for alcohol, even though it's a little further away. read more

I would give this place a 0 star if this is possible. I placed an order online during COVID 19. I sent a person to pick up because I was sick. The order was paid for online. When that person goes there for pick up, they give him an attitude, they did not have the order ready. They won't let him pick up without very me having to physically be there. I've tried to call to get the order release sending them my ID and picture of my credit card, that person gives me attitude over the phone too. When you walk through the door, you are greeted by an actual machine robot asking if it can help you find anything specific. It's pretty scary at first, but could be cool if it worked. I'll try and see if this robot is indeed more helpful than the rest of its' staff if I ever decide to come back to this location. I started browsing around the empty store on a Tuesday afternoon--- there were barely any customers but I walked past about 4 employees who didn't even greet me. They kept talking about how they hated sushi, and that sushi in America wasn't actual sushi. blah blah blah. Even when I paid for my item, the cashier didn't even greet me-- she scanned my stuff, kept talking to her co worker, told me my amount and then gave me my receipt after I paid. Not even a THANK YOU. The manager at this location at 5 pm on 5/29/20 is the worst manager ever! His name was Paulo. He was very, very rude to me today when I was picking up my prepaid purchase. He said he would not listen to me as I was questioning why I was not notified that I would need to show my credit card at the time of pick up. He said, "no, I will not listen to you". He made it very clear he was not going to listen to me and kept raising his voice, so it would drown out my voice. He kept interrupting my sentence. He was so rude and told me that the policy was on their website. He waved a printed paper in my face and attempted to tell me that is where the information was. He should not be a manger, he should be fired for being so rude and disrespectful to a paying customer. I will never shop at this BevMo again. read more

This store has the best and most polite employees. Their store manager (Oliver) is also one of the most outgoing and approachable people ever! He is patient and genuinely nice, it was so refreshing. The woman at the register was also super sweet and even made conversation even though they were closing soon. I was even greeted outside by another employee telling me to have a good night. That's 3 in a 10 minute time frame, which is unheard of. Moral of the story; You want the best customer service with knowledgeable people? It doesn't get better than this place. What's not to love about every BevMo location? It's next to the Subaru dealership and parking entrance is a bit weird but the lot itself is decent. I go here to get wine as gifts to my friends who are wine drinkers and get seasonal beers that I know for sure will be in stock here compare to specialty liquor store. My father and I -- both mainly beer drinkers -- are semi-regular customers. We both have lived in Germany for a while, so we were initially disappointed upon coming to America and not seeing any of the old beers we used to drink. ...that is, until we discovered BevMo! The variety of beer they have here is just nuts! They even have some of the old beers we drank in Germany (Paulaner, Erdinger, Franziskaner, etc), and a few more from other parts of Germany! There's some others that we have yet to try, but so far, we've been very pleased at the huge amount of choice we have in choosing the next beer to drink. The cashiers at this particular location are all very nice, and none have given either my father or I any problems. Service has been pretty fast, in all my experiences going here. Management of this particular BevMo is really bad. There's no one at the counter who can actually run a register. They can't figure out your account number because their short term memory is so bad, they can't remember your phone number or enter it correctly. Today, I finally just walked out, went to the Sunnyvale location, and what do you know! Smooth as silk, ran my account without blinking an eye, etc. BevMo is great, just not this one. read more
