This is by far the worst run Bevmo I have ever visited. This review is being written after four separate visits over a six month period. I travel often and have visited Bevmos in Southern California as well as the Phoenix area. The single malt scotch shelfs are have empty and when I asked if they had any in the back the young employee checked and came back and said they did not have that scotch, even though they got their delivery that day? So half the scotch listed on the shelves are not on the shelves, nor are they ordering replacements? Then I selected a few single beers, and brought them to the front, and they did not scan properly and the woman whom appeared to be the manager got all uptight and said: "I am going to have to look these up," as if I did something wrong by selecting beers off their shelf that clearly had the prices shown, but for some reason did not scan. I was all ready to give her my opinion of this horribly run store, but she never asked me if I found everything I was looking for but continued to act very rude and "bothered, " by my presence. The half empty scotch shelves and rude management is a continuing problem. As previously stated, I have visited four times over six months, twice walking in, and then walking out, after observing the empty scotch shelves. I will NEVER go to this Bevmo again, but will now go to Total Wine and Spirits. I will tell all who will listen, not to go this horribly run store. read more

Rouge Voodoo Bacon Maple Donut Ale? Check. 28 dollar moonshine soaked cherries? Check. Aperol and Pimms? Check. Grandma and Grandpa? Check. Hipsters with groovy handlebar mustaches? Check. Super cool bottled soda selection? Sch-wing! These are just a few of the things I saw at while shopping at BevMo. What is BevMo? It is a ginormous, grocery store sized booze shop. Their prices are not overpriced, but you are not getting any deals either (my head is reeling that I can get fifths of three olives for 9 bucks in this state). Any place I can pick up all 4 San Pelligrino varietals with my libations makes me a happy camper. I was also a happy Michigander when I spied me some Faygo Rock and Rye. The thatcher's blueberry liquor looked intriguing as did the blood orange bitters, Fresh Ginger Ale by Bruce Cost, and Prometheus Springs Lychee Wasabi juice. They also had some of my favs like lemoncello, Feigling (fig vodka I discovered when I lived in deutschland), and Yazi (a smooth, stunning ginger vodka). Nice wine and craft beer selection....some snacks. Make sure you sign up for their reward card...it saved me over 20 bucks. read more

There is an eclectic mix of people that come hear to get their fix on. They have so many interesting things to accessorize your boozing too! Cool shooter glasses, metal martini picks, Mr Beer kits, you name it! Alcohol is my poison of choice and Bevmo has a dizzying array of my drug of choice. We bought/rented some kegs from BevMo for our wedding and overall, our experience was good. We decided to go with BevMo because of their selection and prices. We ordered two 7 gallon kegs of "local" beer (Oak Creek), and when we went to pick them up, one of them was labeled wrong which caused a lot of distress because we didn't realize it until we'd gotten to our venue an hour and a half away. However once it was tapped we realized it was the correct beer. We also rented taps and tubs to keep the kegs cold- it was nice to be able to get all of those items in one place and have people help us load it in our truck. After our wedding we returned the items and the deposit was refunded on our card in a heartbeat. Easy and fast, we'd totally do it again! read more

Bevmo! is simply as good as it gets for selection. First off, let's understand what Bevmo is and what it isn't. Bevmo is the Mecca of liquor stores - note that I did not say wine stores. Basically anything you can think of in liquor they have. They also have a great selection of beers on the shelf and in the coolers. There is usually something on a pretty good sale in every section of the store. The wine selection is decent although some sections seem to be smallish, probably due to what the demographic/purchase buying system dictates. The staff is extremely knowledgeable in helping you find what you are looking for or suggesting an alternative for something else. In short, Bevmo! is the place to go if you want to find reasonable prices and be able to get anything you can think of. No need to go running around town for bottles of whatever. read more

Went in for a small bottle of whiskey. An employee asked me what I needed and gave me directions, cool. The next few minutes I was there I noticed the same employee watching over me either standing from a distance or walking back and fourth. I found what I wanted but in huge bottles. So I started looking for other options. While browsing, Same employee came around saying they only had etc sizes and started messing with the bottles near me until I left. Any other day I would think oh he's facing the store "retail slang for cleaning aisles" but I knew this guy thought I was suspicious. Haven't felt so uncomfortable in a store. read more

We live in California and wanted to surprise our son and his fiancée with a nice bottle of wine or champagne for their stay at a local resort. Unfortunately, due to Covid, the resort said this was not possible, they were not doing room service, etc. Thank goodness for John and Cindy at BevMo! Over 2 days they worked with us over the phone to get our order through on the BevMo app or website which unfortunately were either not working correctly or we're too old to figure it out! Anyway...they both went above and beyond, picking out 2 Napa Valley cabs that are top shelf and personally ensuring their delivery to the resort! Our son and fiancée were both thrilled to receive the surprise and we are happy to give this BevMo the highest of reviews! You won't find better customer service! read more

This seems to be more of a liquor store than a wine store. The wine selection seems very ordinary and safe. The staff appear to have no knowledge of wine. This writer has noticed a high turnover of staff which is never a good sign for any business. There are much better wine stores in Tucson both large and small. read more

PRICEY! Good selection and friendly service is why it gets a mere two stars. Higher prices than the grocery store, in many cases. So, if you're not lot looking for something esoteric or special, just get it at the Fry's or corner store. I don't get these places charging so much. Then they want me to sign up for this club membership that is supposed to save me some money. Guess what? It didn't save me a dime. Now I'll just get spam email from them and they'll track me with their market research scam.  Great. Another meaningless "discount member" card added to my wallet that does me not one lick of good but actually harms society. Could explain why I was one of maybe two customers in the whole massive store during what should be peak time: 6 pm on a Thursday. How do these places stay in biz? I have been a loyal customer at numerous locations of BevMo! Recently when looking for a part-time job, I encountered a "Now Hiring" sign at the BevMo! location in Tucson AZ., and decided to go in and inquire about a possible position. The manager greeted me with "How can we help you ma'am" but as soon as I asked her if they were hiring, she looked at me and said, "We are not hiring." I said to her, "But you have a sign advertised in large saying that you are hiring." She proceeded to state that they just hired three new employees a week prior and were not in need of any help. I reiterated to her, "But you have a sign clearly stating that you are hiring! And if you are not, then it may be beneficial to remove it as otherwise it is deemed as false advertising." More importantly, it was not merely her response that was surprising, but it was the manner in which it was said alongside the body demeanor. I have some previous retail work experience from working in California, and one of the basic, fundamental rules all retailers have to abide by is always meeting their promise to what is advertised-- weather that is for customer sales, or for hire jobs. As a woman of color, with numerous degrees in Social Sciences (currently working on my Ph.D.), my immediate thoughts were directed to racial profiling and a clear case of discriminatory based profiling talking place. But I restrained myself and offered a polite "Thank you," and walked away. I firmly believe that retailers ought to not only practice a law of compassion and care towards their customers, but also their employees, and an equal opportunity should be gratified to all peoples, despite race, gender, sexual orientation, religious backgrounds, etc. However, the response and treatment offered by the local manager at BevMo was one that will only result in them losing a customer. read more

***BEWARE**** I needed a keg for my daughter's wedding and decided on Bevmo on Broadway as it was closest to my event. When I got the keg to the park, I didn't tap it right away and waited until about a half hour before the ceremony. From the time it was tapped, it wouldn't flow right. Now, having experienced beer drinkers at my party, I enlisted them to "fix" it. Even after they re-tapped it, it never worked right. The guys had to put it below the tap to get it to flow. We then took it to the after party where it still didn't work. My guests then went to the store to buy additional beer!! When I took it back on Monday morning, I was told by an employee that obviously had a bad weekend with his black eye and stitches, that there was nothing that they could do. They were not responsible for it after it left the store!! I was floored! I left the store and e-mailed the manager and was told that his hands were tied. He said that if it were full that we MAYBE could get a refund from the manufacturer! But since it was only half full that there was nothing that he could do. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS STORE AGAIN!!! From the customer service to the actual product, they bombed for me!! read more

I have been a clubbev member since my first trip to one in Gilroy, CA (magical those days where) So when one came to phoenix at ray road I used to drive there to get cases of beers that no one distributed in tucson. Eventually they opened up a location here in town. I used to come here a lot, then total wine opened and I havent gone to bevmo except when total wine doesnt have what I am looking for. So let me tell you why, they are either the same price as total wine or a couple of bucks higher, rarely cheaper. Getting in and out of the parking lot is a total nightmare when it is busy. They lock up booze that is often times $30 or less. They also have a tiny single bear section. Now the upsides: beer/ booze tastings. Sure total wine has wine tastings but there have been tastings here that i probably should have had a DD to take me home. Come XMAS time you can find some sweet package promos there which nobody is upset to get for a present (and if they are just drink it before you leave). Bottom line: This place is my second choice store for booze. read more

Why does anyone shop here when we have Total Wine? The beer and wine prices are higher than any grocery store in town. No one there ever seems to know anything except how to be rude and surly. The hard alcohol prices are a joke. Seriously, please go to Total Wine, Plaza, Rumrunner...anywhere but here. As far as beverage stores go, Bevmo! is okay. They do have a large selection of liquor and already cold beer. Good place to stop if you need something on the fly. The store layout is utilitarian. No fuzzy, warm, hang around and shop feelings here. I think we all agree that this isn't the place you go for wine. Stick with liquor and beer. read more

I've been here a few times and found staff very helpful, and selection very good, and I'm happy with the prices. They have a rewards card which is worth using. I recently was excited to find they do "growlers" which is 64 ounces in a jug- a one time bottle is $5 and then refills for various beers can be made at their keg. I picked up some Angry Orchard cider. The cider tapped out short, so they discounted me $2 for the bottle, which was a nice deal. Seems like a great place for booze and snacks and people who know their liquor. read more

Oh BevMo! Lets be friends!!! Excellent service, amazing selection and prices that make me feel like I'm stealing not buying. I have just about 0 complaints. I even buy my wine glasses from BevMo now. I'm not the most coordinated human, i.e. I break things! The glasses here are so reasonable I can break them and not feel like I'm throwing a way money. The wine selection is amazing too. All you have to do is ask one of their associates and they can find you just about anything! Easier said then done sometimes I feel like I'm playing "Where's Waldo?" when I'm looking for something specific so instead I ask an associate get my wine pay and I'm out the door. read more

I love Bevmo for their $.05 wine sales. Sometimes you can get a screaming deal, and sometimes their regular priced wine is way overpriced compared to places like Safeway. I'd say this place is worth it for the wine sales and if you're a craft beer fan. Price for the hard alcohol is hit or miss, and I've found that Costco usually is cheaper. Large store with wide aisle. I think Total wine has more of a selection the closest Total Wine is in a mall and parking is terrible. Bevmo parking is easy and there is always a spot up front by the door. They dont have much hard to find stuff so just go here for the standard beer, wine, and liquor. read more

I have been a frequent shopper at this store/location for a few years and have never really had problems until today. I completely agree with some of the other reviews on here that this location has a low stock on many items and I have noticed this on several visits. I have been in a few times to buy grenadine (a pretty basic item) and they have been completely out of stock two of those times. It makes no sense that some of the shelves are empty. Today's visit was the last one for me. I went in around 8:30 this morning (they opened at 7 and will be open early the rest of the week due to New Years) and asked to see what kind of Dom Perignon they had in stock. I wanted to buy two bottles. There were two gentleman working this morning and both were behind the cigar counter at the front corner of the store. Neither one asked me or my mother in law if there was anything they could do to help or what we were looking for. I went up to them and asked about the Dom. I am assuming the one guy was the manager/supervisor and he said he would go look in the back. I also asked him if they had any Greek wine. Not only did he say "NO" abruptly, he did not even look in his system or ask if he could try to order it for me. He went to the back and brought up a bottle of the Dom, but it was not in a box. He said they do not have boxes for it. I have purchased several different bottles of Dom (different years/vintages) and they have always come in a box. I felt in a way this guy intentionally tried NOT to sell me anything or that he just didn't want a sale. My mother in law was pretty surprised by his lack of customer service and said she and my father in law would never be coming back here again. We left the store and went to Total Wine next door at Park Place Mall and not only got two bottles of Dom I was looking for (in their nice boxes) but looked through their huge selection of Greek wine and ended up buying 6 bottles of the Greek wine. The staff was also much more helpful and nice at Total Wine. We will no longer be shopping at Bevmo. read more

We ordered beer in kegs, wine, some alcohol, and ice for our wedding. Service was excellent! They helped us determine what we would need for a large wedding reception. We changed our order a couple of times, and it was no problem. Prices were comparable or better than other nearby establishments, and they delivered it all on the day of the wedding on time, nice and cold. All equipment deposits were refunded with no problems. They took back all unopened alcohol for a full refund (must be within 7 days). Couldn't ask for more. I would highly recommend if you are planning a big event. read more

What happened was I went in to purchase the large bottle of Ciroc Mango, I asked the so called "Store Manager" Suzy nicely to unlock the cabinet in which the beverage was located and she abruptly said "Yea, I'll give it to you in the front", as if I was going to steal the product. She had a crude attitude from the get go. I walk to the register and I state to the cashier that Total wine has the product for cheaper, and that I have a coupon. The Manager Suzy said that she cannot match the price and take the coupon it is either one or the other. I asked why not because the other manager that always rings me up honors both coupon and price match. She said because it's against our policy, I asked to see the policy and she said rudely that it's somewhere. This manager is rude and has a terrible attitude after this last experience I will now take my business to Total Wine. read more

Went to Bevmo to purcase a bottle of Jack Daniels; When I was checking-out, the checker demanded to see my Age Card. I said., are you kidding me! The manager was behindme in his pod& said "we must see it." I said, I'm 72; he said "we must see it anyway." He was not joking. I said, keep it, Costco is cheaper anyway; I was'nt joking either. If I could put less than a 1 star I would!!!! HUGE Lack of service! Worst experience ever! I went into bevmo to purchase 2 things before I got into the store I was approached by 2 young boys that asked me to purchase a "minute maid" Lemonade 2 liter "NO ALCOHOL" they said that the lady in bevmo would not sell it to them because they did not have their ID. I said fine no problem I will pick it up for you guys he gave me the money. I went into bevmo grabbed the 2 things I needed and their lemonade again no alcohol for them just the lemonade. I approached the man at the register and placed the boys money in front of the lemonade and my 2 items behind it. Tthe girl at the other register went out of her way to come over and ask "is that lemonade for the boys outside?" I said "yes it is" she said "are you with them?" I said "no". She said "I cannot sell it to you" I asked her why and she replied because they did not have their ID. I said OK..... Not really understanding how that had anything to do with me and me purchasing what I needed to but whatever I said thats fine I guess they are not going to get the lemonade. After I continued standing there waiting for the guy to ring up my items he stepped back and she stepped in closer saying " I cannot sell you those items either" I asked her why and she said because I was trying to buy them the lemonade. I have no idea how that had anything to do with what I was purchasing when she clearly new I was not with them she declined a $75 purchase because she is on a power trip she could not offer me any other explanation other than she cannot sell it to me because I was trying to buy them lemonade. Most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!! I will NEVER go back to Bevmo and I will make sure that everyone I know hears about how ridiculous they are which I have already posted on a few different sites about the lack of service I recieved. I am now a new customer to "Total Wine" and "Costco" they too offer the same prices. read more
