I just received an email that my Thanksgiving wine - Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Villages Nouveau 750 ml just arrived. So this location was the closest one to my house. Jesse helped me, finally finding the wine and bringing it out in a box. Store was pretty empty, but the search for the wine got involved all employees and a manager. Yes, the prices are higher than at Total Wine and Vista 8.25% sales tax doesn't help, but the location is prime (on a side note Bev Mo in Carlsbad is on a similar distance for me, but I would not recommend it or shop there). read more

Finding parking in their lot was easy. The store is big and spacious. They have a lot of variety of alcoholic beverages. I was on my way to a birthday party and was able to find great gifts. I purchased a freezable whiskey cup set and a bottle of whiskey. They also had birthday gift bags that I was able to purchase to wrap the gifts. A liquor store in the same parking lot as a home improvement store, brilliant marketing? Maybe... The location is convenient, right off the freeway, just a couple of turns and you're in the big parking lot shared with Lowe's. A bit smaller than other BevMo's and not as brightly lit. When it first opened the selection was pretty decent. But this store has changed since it partnered with GoPuff which is both good and bad. There's less alcohol to make room for other products. I've been coming here every month to use my GoPuff credits. Employees are friendly and helpful. Prices are a little higher than Total Wine but the location is more convenient and I don't have to sit on the 78 during rush hour. read more

It is in a convenient spot right off the 78 at the Vista Village exit. The prices are on the high side compared to some competitors (Total Wine). In the past Bev MO used to be the place to go for wine and other alcohol..today my experience at the Vista location changed my opinion...I went in to check out the wines and they had the buy one get one for 5 cents...the one I was interested in only had one on the shelf..I took it to the counter and stated there was only one...I was told I could mix with any other yellow tag but would get the lowest price for the 5 cents...when I stated I didn't understand how I was still paying full price for the one bottle. 26 dollars..she gave me a surly "how so" not..oh let me check in the back...let me check with my manager...no...she gave me attitude instead...I will not be returning to Beverly mo..ever...Total Wine has more inventory..professional staff who go out of thier way to provide excellent customer service...Bev Mo....get rid of the mini mart and surly employees read more

I stopped in on my way to my sister and brother-in-law's place for dinner...they like the Bixby Creek Red Blend....which if you love a good Red Blend....it's a must try (really delicious). The store has a convenient location right off the 78. The parking lot has plenty of spaces and the store is super organized and they carry about any beverage you can think of along with an incredible selection of sodas that would have a kid standing there for an hour. Snacks like nuts and party mixes, chips, cheeses and crackers...everything. They also have the .05 cent wine sale. The service could be better at this particular location though...kind of rude....but you only deal with it for a couple minutes and it's a great store. Management should read and take this seriously....you have a great setup....don't let your store managers ruin it all by letting your folks be....well...rude. This is one of my favorite BevMo locations because they have a great selection of beers and the workers are usually helpful. I went here recently to get beers for the SuperBowl. I was looking for a stout and I asked one of the employees-who was named Jake-if he could help me find a good one. He showed me around the stout and porters and gave me multiple options and flavors to think about. I ended up going with the Darkstar Oatmeal Stout because of Jake's recommendation of it having a deep and rich flavor with a high ABV. I enjoyed the beer that day and I am grateful for Jake's help. The thing I like about BevMo is that they sell chips and snacks just in case you need some to go along with your beers. I will definitely be back to visit and try some new beers for the weekend. read more

Let's face it, BevMo! has to be one of the best chain alcohol distributors in Cali. Hands down, they've got got such a variety of goodies in their inventory, that one can't help but to stop in and get their favorite buzz-getters. I've been to many branches of BevMo! In Cali, from LA, to Escondido, to Vista; one thing is always consistent, even if the actual size of the establishment is smaller, they will always stock a large variety of beverages for every occasion. This Vista branch of the franchise has friendly staff that are always willing to help you find what you're looking for. One can't help but to sometimes get lost in all the aisles of goodness! Over the years I have found that BevMo! carries a wide assortment of alcoholic beverages that cannot be found in your average liquor stores. A perfect example of this is that they carry Cruzan Rum. This rum is only made and bottled on the island of Saint Croix (where I used to live) and it was rated #1 for many years. There was a young man literally shouting and broadcasting his frustration with another coworker at the store. Cussing and pacing back and forth in the cashier area. The young lady behind the register clearly seemed uncomfortable. This man literally seem like he was going to fight someone. He was extremely aggressive with his words and body language. This location also has a decent selection of gourmet items such as stuffed olives, cheeses and artisianal crackers. My most recent stop involved picking up Grenadine - as my husband would like to make us a Tequila Sunrise and Sunset when we go glamping! I think we can all agree that bevmo holds a niche that isn't really tested in San Diego. It's way classier than any liquor store and generally offers a Costco-esque experience. With the beer game changing it really isn't about the major breweries, but the local craft breweries. With them spread out all over the county it can be difficult to try them without going there. Sure there are tap houses, pour rooms, ale houses, whatever you want to call them, perhaps drinking at home is more your thing and growlers aren't either. Bevmo is the perfect place to find hundreds of beers from hundreds of breweries both local and non local. I think that part of their appeal lies in their distribution. The consistency of being able to find a seasonal beer at most ANY bevmo is a comforting luxury. My dukedom at the Vista Way Location is in jeopardy as this is half the distance that is to my house and near 1 of my preferred groceries in Frazier Farms. The parking lot is super weird. What's with the split lanes and stop sign right as you roll in and really no separation of parking lots. I'll give them that the spaces are on the wide side, but the main flow of traffic will cause people parking along the length of the building issues as they speed by. It's got the classic Bevmo feel with the red highlights, but the layout isn't quite as ergo as other places, but I can totally see their design. To me the progression should be liquor, beer, wine, liqueurs and accessories funneled right at the end. The walk in isn't quite a standout ish as other, but the tasting area is pretty neat for almost a HH area. Always well staffed and I really dig the red vanity blockers so you don't' just see boxes everywhere. Some of the items are only a knee height and they store on the bottom which makes reading labels for the bottom much easier, but not all of the racks are like that which is odd. Just tried to order wine on line for the vista store. However, the gopuf/ bev mo app would not take my payment info after I signed on with my bevmo ID. I called the store and they told me to contact go puf. I suggested this is their problem to resolve, I'm the customer.
