Ordered through DoorDash , store DoorDash listing listed my item for a specific price of a 3 24oz pack of twisted tea, I asked my driver why I was only getting one, he stated "he even noticed it said 3 count, asked the clerk, and the clerk yelled at him " there's obviously a precedent of false advertisement, so I called the store and got cussed out for asking to be reimbursed 2 can for the false advertisement of the price, he kept saying 1 can is the price I pay that what I get, cussed me out again and hung up" sorry sir but imma just leave this here - Business and Professions Code Section 17500 (BPC 17500) law states you have to sell as advertised, so yeah appreciate being cussed out, also here's the proof, I cropped the driver out but yeah clearly not what I got read more

My husband frequently orders drizzly and realized many of his bottles were coming from here so we decided to stop by to check it out. The shop it self is like a diamond in the rough, very unassuming from the outside however if you take the time to look they have some very rare, hard to find bourbons. Usually when we go to a liquor store we love to talk to the people, get their options. We have found a few places where we've gotten great recommendations and the people are knowledgeable about their products. I'm only giving 4 stars because unfortunately that's not the case here, at least with the bourbons. No one seemed to know much, if anything about them, it's like they don't realize what they have. I ordered a bottle of wine and champagne from La Vista Liquor through the Drizly app. Unfortunately my friend had stepped out of her new house at the time of the delivery so the driver was not able to leave the gift. Unfortunately that meant that I had to wait for a refund from Drizly and my friend would not get her gift that evening. I emailed Drizly and all they told me was that it would be refunded and that the liquor store would charge me a restocking fee which was a total disappointment. I called La Vista Liquor directly and explained the situation to the manager. Not only did he waive the restock fee, but he called Drizly directly and got my purchase all set up and delivered to my friend that evening. What a great experience! I enjoy good, single-pot still Irish whiskey. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of good options in this category locally available, save for 12-Year Redbreast and Green/Yellow Spot (and Spot deviants). I've been looking for a bottle of 15-year Redbreast for a while without having to wait weeks for it to arrive, and decided to check Drizly to see if there were any stores with it in stock. Lo and behold, La Vista Liquor had it! The price was right, so I placed an order for a bottle of 15-year, along with a bottle of cask-strength 12-year (which is also rarely in stock at places like Bevmo or regular liquor stores). Drizly's fees and tip were pretty expensive, but considering how much you have to spend for good whiskey anyway, I shelled out the cash. The delivery driver arrived right on time, handed me the bag, and I headed inside to check out the 15-year, which was absolutely incredible. The other bottle, however... I'd been delivered regular 12-year Redbreast, not cask. I wasn't too upset - I prefer the flavor of cask over regular Redbreast, but figured I'd call the store and let them know about the mix-up and to double check before bagging up an order, as it's easy to mix up the cask with the regular. I didn't ask for a refund or replacement as it's only a $15 difference in cost. Much to my surprise, the clerk that picked up told me that he'd personally come pick up the 12-year and refund me. He simply needed to wait for his manager to return for approval and promised he'd call back. 30 minutes later I get a call from the owner, who told me that while they typically stock 12-year cask, there wasn't any in the store, but he was positive there was stock in a neighboring store, and promised he would pick it up and hand-deliver it to me. If in the event the 12-year cask was not available, he promised he'd drive to his warehouse in Santee tomorrow and grab a bottle for me. Luckily, the neighboring store did have cask in stock. This man left his store to go to another, buy a bottle out of pocket, and hand-deliver it to me in exchange for the regular 12-year. An hour and a half later of him having to sit in traffic on the 78, I received a call letting me know he was waiting outside my house with my bottle. If that's not top-notch customer service, I don't know what is. These guys really cared, went well out of their way, and deserve every ounce of credit I can give. They'll certainly be earning my return business, especially if they keep this 15-year in stock. I would never expect a liquor store to go so far above and beyond. These guys are awesome. read more

Ordered delivery through Drizly (alcohol delivery app) fee nights ago. My first time using the app! I was assembling furniture all day & couldn't be bothered leaving the house but really craving a Moscow Mule. Drizly had a $5 off coupon & there was a special sale in Three Olives vodka, so thought, "Why not?!" I also ordered diet ginger beer cans, since I usually stick to a Ketogenic diet. Drizly app has tracker that lets you know when order placed, collected, out for delivery, etc. Right away the liquor store called me to let me know they were out of the diet ginger & would I like to substitute or take it off my order. They ended up having Bundaberg Ginger beer (not diet, but I tried to be good). It was more expensive but the owner said it was ok to substitute. He was very nice & very accommodating! Drizly used Postmates to deliver & it was a great experience! Will def use again when feeling lazy & marking this liquor store as a new fav for future purchases! read more

Outrageous secondary prices on bourbon. That's why they have everything because They are nowhere near to retail prices. $500 plus for Weller give me a break. All of the Antique Collection and Pappy for almost $1000 and up give me a break. You should try to care more about your customers then try to steal from them. read more

Love this liquor store. They have good deals on all alcohol. I've tried venom vodka, pinnacle, Amsterdam and a few others when they are on sale for $10 pretty big bottles too. Owners are nice and give their opinions on certain alcohols when asked. They have the travel sized alcohol bottles as well which is nice you can grab a few to try and not feel obligated to buy the big bottle. read more

Great whiskey selection. I saw bourbons there that I haven't been able to find elsewhere. Their super high end bottles are priced very high - but highly rated hard to find ones priced at retail. Found a great rye for a birthday present for a neighbor. read more

This review is based solely on their business practice. I arrived at 10:40pm to buy a specialty craft beer but they had already blocked and locked their front doors. I proceeded to knock and ask why they were already closed - as they post online and on their door they close at 11:00pm -then the owner rudely said we are closed and then walked away ignoring me and going back to his conversation with his employees. I understand their selection is well rounded, they are the only ones still open, and they are convenient in location - but as a business owner myself, I sincerely did not appreciate the treatment. read more

I am writing this only for their beer section. They are trying to be a craft beer destination but are failing in some ways. The selection is terrible, they do not rotate or return their IPAs. I found bottles over a year old! Also their store is too warm to keep stuff on the shelf. If anyone drinks and stores beer, they know it has to be store cooled, not like this place. And finally my biggest problem withe this store, the price gouging. Recently went in to look for a beer that everyone who carries it sells it between 9.99 to 12.99. These guys are charging 20+ which is probably why they are the only store who had it in stock. If they are trying to be a Craft beer destination, they are failing. I was very pleasantly surprised at the great craft beer selection, I hadn't expected that from a small strip mall liquor store. They carry a lot of high-end "collectible" brews (think $10 for one 12 ounce bottle) as well as brews I have a hard time finding. One example is the half-dozen style of Avery where most other places in town seem to have at most one style or maybe two. Pricing seems reasonable and the staff are always very friendly even though I normally visit around 8pm on a Friday night. I doubt that I will be visiting BevMo any time soon, between La Vista and Texas Wine & Liquor (and of course the Pizza Port bottle shop) I am in beer geek heaven. As others noted the area can seem a bit sketchy at night but that particular strip center isn't too busy so it doesn't worry me at all. read more

The boys at La Vista Liquor have got to be the "bestest" looking liquor ambassadors ever!! They are super friendly and very Knowledgeable. However; I have one complaint, they need to start printing and distributing calendars featuring them. Each month would highlight a strategically placed bottle of liquor along with one of the reps. Here are my suggestions.......I'd pick Andre for May....... Liquor store with decent beer selection. Best thing I like about this place are the microbrew pints for $2.50. Service has been friendly.

Andre is the bomb! Super helpful and knows his stuff. More important, he knows his customers. Partly due to that (his customers' demand), their fridge is full of Chardonnay's. So if that is your thing, more power to you. I left with a gorgeous Rose and a leggy Beoujolais. That was my lucky night. read more

I paid a second visit to purchase 2 bombers of Iron Fist ( one for my barber, one for me). The price was comparable to going to the brewer, or to Bev Mo. Their Craft beer cooler is as large as most liquor stores common beer section. For convenience and selection they score well. read more

I love this place! Fast service, friendly and helpful staff, they have WALLS full of every kind of liquor imaginable! (I even found a bottle of espresso vodka I'd been looking for months for! Good with baileys). Seriously I don't shop anywhere else because I know they'll have what I'm in the mood for.
