While Irma was washing my hair out, she accidentally got the entire back of my shirt and bra soaking wet - (despite the fact I had 2 towels and the cape on). She did feel bad and apologized but when I mentioned it to the front desk, the response I got was "I'm so sorry. Unfortunately, that can happen sometimes." I cannot believe that was the response I got. For a first year cosmetology student, maybe, but for a stylist with over a decade of hair styling experience?! This should never happen at all. And the fact that this service was so expensive just makes it that much more shocking. Yes, they put my shirt in the dryer so I did have a shirt to wear when I left. But my bra was still soaking wet and again, this just shouldn't be happening when you go to get any hair service period. Second, Irma brushed and combed through my hair so aggressively and I don't understand why. She literally started at the top and ripped through my hair multiple times. I understand if she was not able to put in a leave in or detangler because that would interfere with the chemicals penetrating my hair. But I have no idea why she wouldn't at least try to be gentle and work her way from the bottom up. I just washed and blow dried my hair and I am happy with how it looks. However, the overall experience makes me question if I will come back. It makes me sad to leave this review because Irma was a very kind woman and she knows what she's doing when it comes to the hair straightening process. I specifically asked for Tina because I had read great reviews for her online. When I arrived to my appointment, I was sat down and Kevin started to cut my hair instead of Tina. They said that Kevin was available now and that Tina was still busy with the prior customer. They didn't give me a choice to wait for Tina and I felt extremely pressured to just accept the haircut with Kevin. I was reluctant but hoping for the best. Overall, the haircut that I received with Kevin was ok but not great. In my opinion, not worth the cheaper price if it's unclear who will be cutting your hair.
