Let me start this off by saying I don't usually write reviews. I'm way too busy for that lol. But I couldn't not tell people about this place! It has truly impacted my life! Me and my husband are pregnant for the first time. I knew I needed support and I needed to prepare my body for birth. I felt overwhelmed with all the information online and I wanted an in-person experience where I could ask questions. I wanted in-person education, support, and community. WHICH IS SO RARE now a days. I found Beyond Birthing after google search, & they offer all of that and so much more!!!! I couldn't believe this place exists! The atmosphere here is so warm, friendly, non-judgmental and feels safe. It's like a one stop shop when your pregnant and they help you with EVERY ASPECT of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum! I called the number on google and to my luck I got the owner Erin! She was so incredibly helpful! You could sense her genuine care over the phone. In the very short conversation we had, she already gave me advice that was incredibly helpful and exactly what I needed! I signed up for their core curriculum classes (Which I HIGHLY recommend). The first class I took was "Fundamentals of Preparing for Labor and Birth" Heather was the teacher and WOW! That class was sssooooooo packed with helpful and practical information! Heather's calming and friendly personality was exactly what I needed while learning this information because it was a lot and kind of overwhelming at first. We left that class and my husband was astounded, he said, "HOW COME NO ONE HAS EVER TOLD US THIS STUFF!??!?!?!". I laughed and I replied "Because we just took a 8hr class! No one has the time to sit us down and explain all this to us!". The information was extremely valuable! Heather was so detailed and thorough and I really appreciated the slides and visuals. She also took plenty of time for questions and made sure everyone understood what she was explaining. We both feel so much more prepared for birth and are extremely grateful for the information! I especially appreciated how they fully explained all your options when you deliver at a hospital and all the benefits and risk to each option. No one, not even the doctors, take the time to explain all that stuff and I don't know how people go in and make decisions during labor without knowing all that information! It was all evidence based information and it helped us make decisions ahead of time that we felt like was right for us. The second class we took was "Spinning Babies Baby Positioning & Comfort Measures Combo Class". Erin was the teacher! Erin is a joy to be around! She is so FUN and extremely funny and entertaining! Time just flies when she teaches! She is also incredibly smart and she explains things in a way that MAKES SENSE and you can understand it. She also gives you plenty of hands on practice so its not just information, but you walk away with real skills and experience. My husband was especially grateful for this class because it gave him a LOT of practical tools to help me while I'm in labor. This class was probably my favorite just because there was SO MANY practical tools and things we could do that I know will make a huge difference in labor and delivery. (I still have two more classes to go! I'll do a second review after I take them. Just couldn't wait to write these ones!) I also joined the parent support group. It felt comforting to be in a room of people who were going through the same thing. My first time they had a pelvic floor therapist, a chiropractor, and Erin who is also a Doula. It was so helpful to learn about the things I could do to help with the back pain I was experiencing, and after listening to their advice the back pain was almost completely gone within 24hrs! I'm looking forward to these biweekly classes and can't wait to learn more. I can't recommend this place enough!!! If you're pregnant or postpartum, you absolutely will benefit from checking this place out! read more

They were identical to how I had been feeling, and nothing I told her in the beginning. I have been having some upper back pain for quite a while, and I decided that I would try this before hitting up the Doctor or doing anything more drastic. I had Plamen for my 60 -minute deep tissue massage, and that man is the best thing that ever happened to my back he gets five starts (my girlfriend also had a 60 minute session with him and said he is awesome). The decor is very eastern(ish) but I found the whole experience very relaxing and Plamen is a master of his craft. My back and shoulders have not felt this good in quite some time. I would highly recommend Eternal Balance and Plamen to anyone looking to get myofascial massage work done.

It seems to be a challenge to find a good place to swim, in Lynn the red algea ruins the beach (but I have heard it is well under control this year) and for something close and quick Dane Street will do.

I noticed a couple climbing down the rocks and foraging the shoreline, but I can't speak to if that is safe or recommended. There's free street parking and it would be a cool place to take a picnic. When we visited, it was totally quiet and private feeling.

They have a food hut with actual meals to be purchased, not sure about showers etc we couldn't find them but think they close at 5pm either way. There's hermit crabs, fishes and snails to be found in the water for the youngings to learn and see! Great beach, great sun, clean and clear, water is also crystal clear. Nothing in the sand to step on and hurt your feet. Nice sandbar to swim over to and explore. Definitely looking forward to the next beach day!

The beach is flat and gradual, ideal for kids. There are fun rocks to climb on and tide pools to jump in. The sand is soft and fluffy. Lines can get long and you now have to book in advance, so be sure to plan ahead w/r/t your visit. There are life guards on staff and I feel the beach is very well maintained overall. We are usually on the "boat side" where dogs are allowed, which makes for a fun family experience. We like to go early (get there by 9am if not before) and leave early (in time for lunch), which I would recommend, to avoid the crowds.

My wife and I first met Erin at a Spinning Babies class at Beyond Birthing while preparing for our second child, and we ended up hiring her as our doula. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Erin was incredibly supportive leading up to labor, and throughout the entire process she guided both my wife and me with calm, steady reassurance. She worked seamlessly with the team at Beverly Hospital to help get the baby in the right position, and she never left my wife's side. Even after delivery, she stayed to assist with breastfeeding and made sure we felt comfortable before leaving. I was surprised by how supportive she was for me as well. She answered my phone calls, talked me through concerns, and calmed me down when I was anxious. When we first decided to hire a doula, I expected the support to be primarily for my wife, but Erin truly supported both of us, which I really appreciate. What impressed me just as much was her continued support after the birth--Erin was always responsive to our texts/calls and provided guidance whenever we needed it. I honestly cannot imagine going through the experience without her. She was invaluable not just to my wife, but to me as well. I wish we had her with us the first time around! read more

I can't say enough about the incredible, seamless support I have benefitted from through Beyond Birthing and its owner, Erin Ronder Neves. I have a lot of wonderful people in my life but no one provided as much early postpartum help to me as Erin- her vast knowledge, gentle care and spot on sense of humor are a few things that make her fantastic. She also referred me to Kira Kim for tremendous support for my tongue & lip tied breastfeeding baby. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Erin before my first child for breastfeeding and spinning babies courses and they proved to be wildly helpful. She provided amazing postpartum support for us as second time parents this summer. We're doing great and still using several of what we call the "Erin Methods" for everything from bottle feeding to milk storage. If you want to build your village, start with Erin. read more
