I happen to work nearby, it's my go to for coffee. I've found the service to be good and I like the set up of the store. I will continue my visits and tell everyone to visit. I understand the owners took part in the yesterday's Nationwide Shutdown Day, which I found honorable. Unfortunately, plenty of Redlands residents are currently bashing the market for participating in the Nationwide Protest suggesting that politics should not be a part of the business. How have I lived in Redlands this long and somehow missed Olive Avenue Market?? Truly baffling. This place is tucked into a quiet South Redlands neighborhood, surrounded by old Victorian homes and lush lawns, and it feels like a tiny European corner café just... existing quietly and beautifully. Inside is all reclaimed wood and cozy tables, people working on laptops, the coolest Redlands City Limits sign, kids flipping through board games and books in the corner, soft chatter, good energy. Pro tip: get in line as soon as you get there because it fills up fast and the line can absolutely go out the door. I had the chai latte (so good), a cheese danish (dangerous), and an Everlasting Ferments kombucha...the Habanero Ginger is a sleeper hit. You can also snag breakfast burritos if you're lucky (they sell out), or freshly made stuffed waffles from a vendor outside, which somehow makes the whole experience feel extra charming. There are cute little café tables all around and a tucked-away, walled patio in the back that's perfect for bigger groups. Already planning future coffee dates. Such a hidden gem!! It's truly a market feel, everything is pre- stocked so you can grab and go. It has such a cute ambiance and a large table if a party does want to sit. Everything was very reasonably priced except for the outsourced pressed juice, and tasted so good. One of the best lattes (coconut chocolate and caramel) and refreshing sandwiches I've had! The barista was so friendly and sweet, he even offered me a cup of ice on the side for my latte since I wanted it ice free to save for the next morning. It's very clean- even the restroom. I love the orange strawberry scones!!! Absolutely perfect. Also the coffee is solid and you can get for here cups. They have yummy kombuchas, lattes, fun sodies, and juice. Also have alcoholic beverages if that's your jam. The burritos on the weekends are awesome and the price is great. Nice little local coffee shop. Can get quite busy on weekends with all of the walkers and cyclist stopping in. My favorite thing to get is a blueberry lemon scone. The scones are absolutely delicious. They have a huge variety of refrigerated bottled/canned drink selections as well as a full coffee bar. First time here, we bought a mango smoothie, iced tea and a green fruit salad dessert, and they were all amazing.

Went in the other day to be sent away without care when i showed them a moldy item i had bought from their fridge. It's sad to see how bad management has become as it was never like this! FOOD: I wouldn't get anything premade in the store - they have outdoor vendors on the weekends where i'd much rather eat! DRINK: Coffee is decent and Matcha is good! They also have a fun selection of different sodas and juices. Super fun for kids and friendly gatherings! ATMOSPHERE: It's pretty dirty and unkept. Behind the bar is very very dirty - they wash their dishes in their handwashing sink upfront to clean dishes, then use that to serve the customers. Better than not washing? ‍. Other than that there's a bunch of cute signs and vintage items around that bring more comfort to the place. just all very dusty and dirty. OVERALL: i wouldn't come back here again. I've heard stories from many people about failing management and now that i've experienced it first hand it's enough for me. Popped into this 100 year old building/establishment on the recommendation of a chef/friend. Was definitely not disappointed! The charm and essence of what it used to be over the years was still present. You need "time" to browse around. So much to look at and tons of tasty items to choose from. Absolutely loved the experience. And to be located in the historical district is so charming. I was heading to the Redlands Bowl when I stumbled on this place. I had heard about it from my nephew who lives nearby. There was a food truck in front of it so I decided to eat there for dinner. I went into the Market first to check out why they had. I was pleasantly surprised! They have fresh pressed orange juice. They have a whole wall of cold drinks. They have several different kinds of root beer, which is my husband's favorite. They also had a great selection of pre-made sandwiches. They name the sandwiches after streets in Redlands. My daughter got the orange street sandwich and said it was the best she's ever had! They have a great selection of desserts, mostly large scones. I got the chocolate chip pudding cookie. It was soft in the middle. I enjoyed it. I really scored when I stumbled upon this place. I would definitely come back again and try their sandwiches. This here is a cute little coffee/breakfast spot that can get a little bit busy. So come early if you don't want to miss out on good breakfast burritos or coffee. I just happened to pass by and decided, hey, I need coffee and a breakfast burrito. Good thing Olive Avenue has both. So much flavor packed into the burrito and so much comfort packed into the coffee. Seating is very limited so you make what you will of it. This is such a divine find, I pass through this area frequently and never noticed this place. I wanted to pick up a quick sandwich and Yelp directed me to this closest spot. It was street parking which was not a problem, the outside is so inviting, If I had time I would of sat for a few and had one of their coffees but I was there for a quick stop. As soon as I opened the door I was treated to the fabulous old time decor, the coffee area also had some really tempting desserts to choose from. I checked out all the ready made sandwiches and chose two of them the Turkey and the Tuna. They have a variety of chips and drinks to choose from as well. At the register they had soup of the day so I tried their Jambalaya which was spicy and very good. The ladies at the counter were friendly and helpful, they have seating inside as well. This is one of those one of a kind spots that I am sure the local residents love and will share with those passing through. read more

I'm disappointed with my recent experience trying to get catering information from Olive Avenue Market. I submitted multiple online requests asking to be contacted, but I never received a reply. I also called the store and was told the catering person was only available for about an hour in the early morning, but even when I called during that exact time, no one answered. I went into the market personally, left my name and number, and was told I would receive a call back -- but again, no one ever contacted me. After several attempts, I still never received any response at all. During my visit, I also noticed that the sandwiches were not made fresh; they were already wrapped and sitting in the refrigerator. That was disappointing and made me reconsider using their catering service altogether. I understand places can get busy, but I would have appreciated at least a simple phone call or email acknowledging my request. Unfortunately, because of the lack of communication and the quality concerns, I decided not to move forward with their catering. read more

What a cute little, very local neighborhood coffee and sandwich shop. For a neighborhood breakfast and lunch only, they have limits but yet offer a bunch of various treats. While they have tried to leverage their location to other chefs, these offerings can be a hit or miss. Kudos for the effort. While we didn't go today for their sandwiches, we have had their "grab and go" sandwiches for dinner before Redlands Bowl Performances and were extremely happy with the freshness and taste. Today we had the honey whole wheat scone, see pic. It was a bit drier than what I expected, but it was wholesome, deep in wheat flavor and had a nice outside crunch - still soft on the inside. We heated it in the public microwave. But the best advice came from the barista when she suggested I add honey and cinnamon. This was the best advice that I received all week. While this weekday morning was slow, I've been there on the weekend when it was packed. So be patient. There is shaded patio seating on the north side of the building. read more

Bad customer service, at least for me. I was the only person in line waiting for help and the employee just ignored me and helped the people who walked in. I have never felt so invisible in my life. There were several employees who noticed I was standing there, but didn't even greet me. I'm not sure what the reason would be, but I hope they think about all people being equal. read more

I don't get the hype of this place. It's mostly a glorified convenience store/coffee place with mediocre premade food. We were given a gift certificate for Xmas that's only good here and at three other eating establishments in town, so we decided to grab lunch here on a Saturday at 12:30 p.m. We'd heard their sandwiches were really good. We waited in line to order, couldn't find any menu for sandwiches, and came to find out they're premade and in a refrigerator case like a convenience store. The case was empty except for a couple of ham & cheese and turkey & cheese sandwiches. They were about what you'd expect from a sandwich at any convenience store -- a couple of slices of meat and a slice of cheese on a naked croissant. No lettuce, no tomato, no condiments. Turns out the only condiments they had were packets of yellow mustard. (Eww.) Mayo? "We're out. We might get some in in a couple of days." Oh, OK, I'll just eat my $7.50 sandwich dry, I guess. (Seriously?) I can't comment on the coffee drinks -- I don't drink coffee. The refrigerator cases have a variety of your standard sodas plus some unique ones like Bubble Up, Dad's Root Beer, cream soda, and various lemonades and juices. Again, convenience stores stuff with a few unique things thrown in. They had a number of bakery items as well which looked good and appeared to be fresh. Still, those shelves were full at 12:30 -- post-breakfast time -- but the sandwiches were depleted right at prime lunch time. Seems odd. All in all, this place seems overhyped for what it is. It's a bit of a hipster place that appeared to be a gathering spot for the 30-something types -- yoga pants were the uniform of virtually every woman there, and they were fit enough to be rocking them. It has a post-workout vibe, so it seems more like a place to meet friends for a coffee than to have an actual meal. Not really what we were looking for, so we'll leave it to the younger set. read more

Came here because we were looking for breakfast and coffee in Redlands. This is located on Olive Street (duh), next to a bunch of beautiful old mansions. It's in a historic residential area and parking can be found out on the wide street. I'd describe the inside of the market like a general store in the wilderness or like you're on the set of a movie or t.v. scene that takes place in a general store in the wilderness. You can totally work or study here as the ambiance is really unique and you'll never be hungry or thirsty as they have a fully stocked fridge with food and drinks, a coffee bar and sundries and such. All they need is a few gas pumps and it's basically a home away from home. Unfortunately we came here at around noon thirty and they were sold out of breakfast burritos and I discovered it's not really a restaurant/cafe, but more of a market with a coffee bar and a fridge that sells items made at the market, I.e. roasted pepper gnocchi, mac salad, a variety of sandwiches, etc. I would go here to get a picnic lunch and then take it to one of the thousands of parks in this city and have a picnic. They also make their own mini charcuterie kits (think lunchables style) which would be ideal to take to the Hollywood Bowl and stuff like that. It's definitely worth visiting and a really great spot to study or work from. read more

I think if this place could improve on anything, maybe add a few more vegan sandwich options. I have always enjoyed this place, but recently I had a breakfast burrito that I could not eat and ended up throwing it away. Not sure what has happened. The tortilla was soggy and slimy from the steam tray, there was no recognizable bacon, little cheese, and eggs that were either a pre-made mix or powdered. I used to enjoy the breakfast burritos, but will never order another one. The usually filled bakery display was half empty at 10am on Sunday which was not normal. There was hardly any variety. Found my way to the Olive Avenue Market recently and discovered a gem in Redlands. Staff is fantastic: warm, personable, patient, and efficient. I was on the way to work and my husband was going to drop me off. We stopped in to grab coffee and breakfast on the go. There was a big selection of things one could typically find in a small market from drinks, sandwiches, snacks, pastries, and coffee. Lots to choose from! I ended up trying a Pumpkin Pie Cold Brew with oatmilk and a Lemon Poppyseed scone. My husband tried a Redlands Bowl and the Clement. The cold brew was tasty and was definitely infused with the right amount of pumpkin flavoring. I'm not normally a scone person, but something behind the pastry glass was calling me to taste it. It was an excellent choice! Very fresh and a perfect texture. My husband enjoyed his selections as well. The Clement was LOADED with peanut butter and we had no complaints. The establishment itself was clean and well-decorated to bleed Redlands pride. All of the nods and accents to Redlands sprinkled throughout the space solidified why this spot is so popular for locals. There was a good amount of seating inside of the market, but they also had several seating options outside for patrons to enjoy their coffee or food in the beautiful, Fall weather. I would definitely visit Olive Avenue Market again as part of my morning routine to work in the future if time permits.
