Had an early birthday lunch here with my friend and her boyfriend, we all enjoyed our meals! My friend ordered the French toast, her partner got the breakfast burrito, but they ended up switching because she liked his better! While her bf usually doesn't like lavender, he said the French toast was sweet enough that the lavender wasn't overpowering or too strong. I tried the Tuscan sammie, it was sooo good! Very light and juicy at the same time Fair warning, they don't bring the drinks to you, and we hadn't heard ours being called so they sat at the counter for a while oops! My friend and I were surprised because they put cinnamon on top of her hot cocoa and my iced mocha (I generally don't like cinnamon, so I wish I knew this beforehand to ask not to include it). Either ways, the drinks were rich and flavorful! They also made pretty latte art in the shape of a heart on my friend's bf's latte Our server was hilarious! He brought out plates and I was so excited thinking it was ours so I said "oh!" and he gently corrected me saying it was for the next table over. I was a little embarrassed so I stayed quiet when he brought our food, and he joked "you're not gonna say it this time?" BAHAH had our whole table laughing They accidentally gave us a grilled cheese instead of the Tuscan sandwich I had ordered, and fixed it for us before we even noticed. Strangely though, they took back the grilled cheese? We hadn't touched it, but it feels like a waste if they just tossed it, and I sure hope they didn't end up giving it to whoever had originally ordered it since it sat at our table for a few minutes... read more

This coffee shop is around the corner from my work and it is a very cute spot! It's esthetically pleasing because it's clean, bright and has a very open space with multiple seating arrangements. They even have a cute space for children. I've only been there a couple of times, but I want to go more often! It is most certainly a busy place, but they are also pretty quick at serving you. I've had their Brekkie Burrito which was to die for! I've also had a couple bites of their Sandstone Sammie which was delish. The food tastes clean, is mostly organic, seed oil free and very flavorable. They also have vegetarian options for those looking. Yesterday I ordered a Carrot Cake Latte from their Spring Specials menu and it was so so good! If you love carrot cake, that is most definitely for you. My Manager was with me and she ordered the same latte, and wanted to try their Pink Guava Lemonade too. Love coming to try out newer coffee shops. And this one did not disappoint. Right smack in the middle of downtown Redlands where all the goodies are at. This coffee shop is modern, very well designed/decorated, sells their own merch, and is kids friendly. They are spacious for something of its kind, has a kids corner, staff are welcoming and efficient, not only was my coffee delicious but my salad was even better! I bought their seasonal matcha cloud drink and it came out quickly for being a packed house on a Sunday evening. The drink itself had a beautiful green color, but had a vegetal matcha taste that wasn't the most appealing (and I love a savory matcha). The coconut cream top added a hint of sweetness. Every time I sipped it, I questioned why they chose it as a signature seasonal drink. It was still refreshing due to the use of coconut water. They do have a sign that urges you to get your drink adjusted if you're not satisfied. I love the cafe interior here because it's so bright and welcoming. I appreciated their variety in seating, such as the solo bay-window seats, regular table seats, bar-chairs, and large booth seats. I was able to study fairly comfortably, especially because they had outlets! I'll definitely try their other teas and coffees another time because I'm sure they have done better! read more

On par with the other reviews, this is a hopping coffee shop but the line runs smoothly & quickly! I checked out the Carrot Cake Latte special & it was so flavorful & fun! It was served on the best pebble ice & with a baby carrot to top. The cold foam was a real treat to balance the spices of the latte, I would recommend! I also got the last slice of coffee cake (it was 3:30p after all) for an afternoon treat which was delicious as well. Instead of a dryer dense coffee cake, it was fluffy and spongy with nice swirls of cinnamon inside. Can't wait to come back to try their other pastries in the box. I appreciated that they said they generally keep anything with nuts in a separate container to avoid cross contamination. That is usually a struggle to verify ingredients when ordering at cafes and pastry boxes, so that was such a nice piece of mind. VERY cute in here. It's a great study spot (which most of their customers seem to do). It's a newer place but ive already heard so many great things about this cafe so I had to try it. The matcha is delicious, though I wish they had more options for sweetener. Their food is great; including the refrigerated snacks, soups, and sandwiches. I can't wait until they have gluten free options so my loved ones can try the food. I also enjoy the friendly staff and love the idea that they have a little kids corner in the back. I would love to see more seating for booths (I sat in a booth and the other side didn't have chairs). This super cute little coffee shop just opened in October and it is amazing. The coffee is so good, and I love that they're very kid-oriented. They even have a little kids' play area with a mini coffee shop setup, which is adorable. It makes it such a great spot for moms to gather and actually enjoy their drinks while the kids stay entertained. This isn't really a quiet study or work-from-your-laptop type of place, it's more of a gathering and conversation kind of coffee shop, which I personally love. The servers are super friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the whole place has this charming desert coffee shop vibe. When you walk in, it just feels warm and welcoming. Parking was a synch for a Sunday morning! We parked in the back and made our way to the coffee shop. The line was insane and constant. It was difficult finding a table to do work at and we felt very discouraged. There were a lot of people saving the tables instead of ordering first. Their WiFi also did not work, since it was packed inside. We ordered their gingerbread latte and a citrus bloom. Their gingerbread latte was very sweet. I couldn't taste my coffee. The citrus bloom was full of citrus. It was okay. It resembled the orange chocolate balls that you would buy during the holiday season. The servers weren't the nicest. They seem stressed. It was chaotic and noisy inside, so not super ideal for work, even with headphones on. Needless to say, I don't think we'd be back on a weekend. The shop has a super cute, social-media-worthy aesthetic, and while there was a line out the door when we arrived, it moved quickly. The barista was friendly and efficient without being overly chatty. Drink prices are what you'd expect from a local coffee spot. We skipped food this visit but ordered a mocha--my husband said it was delicious and perfectly chocolatey--and an iced matcha for me, which was decent and served in a unique cup. The space was lively with people studying and chatting, and it's bigger than it looks from the front. There's even a children's area in the back with a pretend coffee shop, which is a thoughtful touch. A lovely spacious cafe in the middle to DTR and fell in love the moment I stepped in. They have plenty of seating and booths for chatting with friends, enjoying a meal, or even studying. Friendly staff and really cute aesthetic--giving Joshua Tree minimal desert chic. My friend got the vanilla matcha, not too sweet and good matcha. I got the seasonable gingerbread foam matcha and it was delicious. I was hesitant to try something seemingly too sweet but the gingerbread foam was the right amount of spice and creaminess for the matcha. We went to Redlands to try Deaux donuts and thought what goes best with a donut is coffee. Roadrunner stood out as the front runner and was close to where we had to go to pick up the donuts. The line was long which seemed very promising. It took a good 15-20 mins for us to get to the counter. My wife and daughter ordered the match and they loved it. I ordered a decaf mocha. Since there were many people there that day it took a few minutes to get our drinks. As soon as we got it we took off and started walking. As I said my wife and daughter loved the matcha but my drink tasted off. It had a lemon or sour taste to it like the oat-milk had gone bad. Probably one of the worst coffees I have had and I had to throw it away. Very unfortunate since the place is nice and seems to have really good options both drink and food wise. After wanting to try this place since their opening, I finally made it in tonight. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they're open until 6pm, which is not the case for most coffee shops! I tried their Tuscan chicken sandwich and a cortado. The food was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. I loved the attention to detail with the tiny flowers mixed in with the fruit. The coffee tasted a little burnt, but it wasn't bad. I'll likely try a latte for my next visit. The service was very good here as well! All the employees were super friendly and helpful, even shortly before closing. On this visit we dropped by on a holiday, and they were fully staffed and in full swing. This coffee shop has a very open and clean design. The service area is centrally located, and was quick and efficient. This is a family orientated coffee shop (See my pic of the children's area for serving their own.) They sell Moon Oat roaster's coffee. As a plain cup of coffee, it's a bit strong and acidic. Aesthetic new coffee shop in downtown Redlands. Parking may be limited to 30 minutes or 2 hours based on where you park in the downtown area. Tons of seating inside and outlets for studying. Since it just opened it's a bit too busy to study at but would be a good place for students in the future on weekdays. Max brunch groups of 4-6 based on table size. Service was pleasant. They do offer rewards by phone number. Drinks were well appreciated both matcha and coffee. In my opinion the matcha is better than the coffee but I would want to go back and try a cortado or cappuccino to say definitively. At this time they don't have any special drinks which I found a bit disappointing but understandable as they just opened. Syrups are homemade, options include honey, brown sugar, vanilla, pumpkin, and mint. From what I could tell they use Califa oat and almond milk. Did not have a chance to try any food at this visit. I might still favor slow bloom or fireproof based on their specialty drinks but this location has more food, more seating, and still solid drinks - depends what you're looking for! read more

New coffee shop in downtown Redlands. Was informed by a local to try it out and not be in a rush since the wait can be up to 40 minutes. What?! I wasn't about to do that, so I made it my mission to be the first person in line when it opened at 7a. From ordering to the moment I received my full order (coffee first, then food), I was out the door in 20 minutes. Pros: Located in State street where there is ample parking in the morning hours. Beautiful space with modern decor, that has a indoor dining feel with plenty of room to do work, relax, or people watch. Friendly baristas and staff. Cons: Mid coffee with expensive price tag (see photo of 12 oz iced mocha). Lack luster breakfast burrito (see photo). Something was off about the toast I ordered, and can't quite pinpoint it. Total bill was almost $35 for 1 coffee and 2 food items. The wait is REAL, and I was the first person there. Do I regret it? No. Will I return? Also probably no. Especially since the line gets LONG within 10 minutes of opening. The local's advice was correct. Check it out. But don't be in a rush or you might be disappointed. read more

The line was out the door on a Saturday morning but it moves pretty quick. It's good for a grab and go spot or to grab a quick bite. Seating can get full but there is room around the back for more, although might be hard to find with a big group since they give you a number and you have to find an open table. The food itself was really good and well balanced. The French toast paired well with the lemon curd and the breakfast burrito was phenomenal. I was a bit nervous to try purple sweet potato in a burrito but it worked and balanced out the flavor of the rest of the dish. The carrot cake latte wasn't good, the texture was weird and crumbly so I think I would just get a regular latte or a matcha instead. I didn't order a matcha but I noticed that the color was a nice deep green, which is usually a sign of a good matcha! The service was really nice, the people taking the order and working the food and drinks were very friendly and accommodating. Ahhh!! I loved everything about this place! I came here on my off day to relax, do some travel planning, & have a good drinky/meal. I loved their food options I do recommend that they add more egg forward breakfast items. I went with the breakfast burrito since I was feeling nice and hungry. The burrito was fresh and more on the healthy side with the purple sweet potato and chicken sausage. It lacked a bit of spice and the salsa was okay but not great. If you're not Hispanic or don't regularly eat Mexican food it you might really like the salsa. I had to add tapatio and wished the potatoes were better seasoned but it had a fresh forward taste to it. It's like a health food burrito with Latin inspo. I still really enjoyed it and loved my little berries on the side which is rare for a restaurant to have since berries are pricey. I got the HoneyFire Mocha with oatmilk and it was so delicious. The main note was honey with chocolate on the backend. It was not overly rich and very smooth. I loved it for a day when it was cold. This place is a health forward no seed oil kind of place and you will definitely tell. My mocha was very wholesome and not overly sweet. If you're an ingredients matters person this is the place for you. I personally am so I really liked it. As for the seating they have a generous selection. When I was in line I was very much manifesting a seat opening up because it was packed. People come and go pretty often so you can definitely find yourself a seat. Finally had time to review Roadrunner Coffee! The day I went it was very busy with a line to the door. The service from the staff was excellent and efficient- I moved through the line really quickly. I found a table in the back to eat my food while catching up with a friend. It can be a little loud when busy, but the staff works hard to circulate people through the line. The baristas and cashier were friendly and kind-offering helpful suggestions and recommending one of their specials- the Citrus Bloom Latte. Would recommend stopping by when they aren't too busy during the days. With a selection of pastries, brunch foods, and delicious drinks they're a wonderful addition to the Downtown Redlands community. read more

Been wanting to try this place for awhile as it's super cute and on a main walkable street in Redlands. Unfortunately we had a similar experience to some of the other reviews. The espresso and drink experience just fell flat. The iced honey cinnamon latte and cortado were ok but not something to return for. The triple shot with brown sugar and oat milk was bitter/burnt tasting. Not sure if it was a dark brown sugar where a molasses flavor profile was taking over/ or an odd oat milk used/ or just espresso that was different. Neither of the other two drinks with espresso had that bitter taste tho so I'm guessing it wasn't due to the espresso. I had waited to come here hoping all the kinks could be worked out as I know new businesses sometimes have to find their flow but after this much time and this much feedback from others I'm just not sure it's for me. I have only heard good things about this place. I ordered and Grain and Garden bowl and it is a beautiful combination of flavors. Mine didn't have the Tzatziki on it or oil and vinegar dressing, which made it a little bland for my tastebuds. The hummus is lacking flavor too.
