    10. Everest Spicy Chicken Plate
    Katie Y.

was disappointed to find that this place was not truly Himalayan cuisine as I saw advertised online but decided to give it a chance. should've turned around and left because although the price and portions were decent, it was not worth it. I got the everest spicy chicken plate and my husband got the chicken combo plate. both dishes were a little bland and the vegetables were just large pieces of steamed cabbage. the spicy chicken had a whisper of chicken 65 flavor but i still had to put hot sauce on everything. also the food court style ambience ruined the vibe a little as all dishes are served in to-go boxes with plastic utensils.

I think this is 3.Chicken Combo (BBQ Ck Ck Kastu ) so yummy

I don't know why its only tonight we stoo and get dinner here, we always pass but never thought of eat here. We got the combo Chicken and beef. They are so tasty and flavorful and totally yummy. I've been to other places similar to this but not my cup of tea so I don't feel like trying this. Boy I was so surprised... the chicken is so tender and beef also tasteful and the spices not over powering. They are so generous of the condiments and sauces. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Parking is no issue and bathroom is clean.

One of my favorite local places! Fantastic portion for $15, well seasoned, friendly service and consistent. Highly recommend

Ribs plate! Highly recommend!!! It was delicious!!!!!!

First time coming here and let me tell you they did not disappoint. We ended up getting a teriyaki bowl of beef teriyaki bowl and de seafood mix which includes shrimp chicken and fish. The food was amazing and these sauces they have for your food are so freaking good. They do have a big selection of drinks plus fountain drinks, love the atmosphere love the customer service. It's a new place here in San Bernardino. Go check them out.

Today's order was: bbq beef: marinated savoriness and tender; short rib (bit of an up charge) grilled perfectly with tender, juicy, well marbled bites; and teriyaki chicken that's always moist. Mac salad is luxuriously creamy that compliments the rich and savory meats, while rice sops up the delicious sauces. Heck, I'm a sucker for the bed of cabbage for the same reason! You just can't go wrong here. Friendly, fast, delicious, and fairly priced. It's what keeps us coming back.

It's kind of become our little routine -- shop first, plate lunch after. This location is almost always busy when we go, but honestly, we've never had issues with service or the food. The line moves at a decent pace and the staff handles the crowd well. The chicken katsu is a must every time. Crispy, well-fried, and paired with that sweet, tangy katsu sauce - it just hits. It's one of those plates that never disappoints. And you can't skip the Hawaiian drinks. Something about that combo makes it feel like a mini island escape before heading back home. We also tried the Island white fish, which surprised me in a good way. It was fried nicely and gave us something different from the usual BBQ chicken or katsu. Light, crispy, and a solid alternative if you want to switch it up. Overall, consistent food, dependable service, and a convenient stop after shopping. The fact that it's all the way in Big Bear makes it even more surprising because the fish is always so fresh and the flavors are, of course, amazing. This is genuinely one of the highlights of every trip when I get the chance to come here. I've tried a few of the bowls and they've all been solid, but the Kraken is definitely my go-to. The fish, flavors, and toppings all work so well together. I love everything about this bowl and find myself thinking about it even when I'm nowhere near Big Bear. I'm also glad they were able to move into a bigger location because the old one was much smaller. It can still get PACKED though. On our most recent visit, we came around 3:30 pm on a Monday during the last week of December and waited about 45 minutes to order, then another 20 minutes for our food. They have a self-order kiosk now, which helps keep things moving, but I'd still be prepared for a wait when it's busy. Considering how good the food is, I completely understand why so many people are here. The staff deserves a mention too. They're always so kind, welcoming, and high-energy, which makes the experience even better despite how busy it can get. I seriously love Tropicali. It's wild to me that some of my favorite poke is all the way up in Big Bear, but I always look forward to the next time I can come back. Absolutely worth the wait every time.

Ordered the Pineapple Coconut Wontons and here comes another problem. She then was having issues with the register ringing up my order for me to pay. My order was done before I paid, because of the system, taking it's time...I guess. When my total popped up on the screen, it was much higher than I expected. Then I realized, it auto populated a tip on there. Anyone not paying attention, can easily miss that, and I'm one of those people that goes through prompts fast. But I knew my total should have been in the $8 range and it was $10 and some change. When I took the tip off, it went back down to $8. They are one of those places, that charge for using a card as well. On the other hand, the wontons were good.

That's what happened when we were there. For $15 you can get the XL plate and it comes with ALL the meat offered, rice, and mac salad. For the XL plate we got: 1) Teriyaki Chicken: -This did not come with enough sauce in with itself, so I had to take some of the sauce from the teriyaki beef side. -Chicken was kinda dry and not very appealing texturally for me. -A bit too chicken-y if that makes sense. This was my least fav of the meat trio. 2) Pulled Pork: -On its own, pretty dry but I can taste the kalua pork inspiration. Simple flavor, with very slight salt added to it. -But because of how dry it was, I had to rely on the mac salad to enhance this... 3) Teriyaki Beef: -Probably my favorite of the 3 meats. -This one had the most flavor to it and was sauced perfectly. -Teriyaki sauce was the perfect medium of savory and sweet. -However, this meat was also a bit dry and tough, but not as much as the other 2. 4) Mac Salad: -You can never go wrong with Mac Salad and this definitely made some of the meats more palatable, but there wasn't enough to make it THAT much better. Maybe it's because we came 30 min right before closing or my expectations were much too high as a Hawaiian fast food enjoyer, but I was a bit disappointed and didn't eat much of this dinner. Plenty of parking in the plaza since it's huge, but it can get quite busy (mostly looks like people for Starbucks and the grocery store though). Rodeo X was mostly empty when I went, hopefully it picks up because man that was sad to see. Maybe food halls weren't the answer to the economy (looking at you Haven City and Blossom Market Hall amongst others). Anyways, there were 2 families there and another person ordering to go and they all had food from Shootz. Really says a lot about how it's a crowd favorite. There was no line when I ordered and they called my name to pick up my order fairly quickly. I believe they have an app, or the very least you can order ahead of time for pick up. For my lunch, I got the: 1) Mint Peach Limeade: -No ice or sweetness adjustments, I got it as is and it's from an ever flowing machine at the front next to the register. Similar to those machines that cycle through lemonade at Hot Dog on a Stick. Got this immediately. -Not bad. Like slightly milky sweet peach drink with a subtle mint after taste. Pretty unique, the reason why I immediately resonated with wanting to order it. 2) Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken: -I got this spicy. -Comes with 2 decently sized cut slabs of chicken katsu. Super juicy, deliciously crisp exterior. Covered in their signature kimchi butter all over the chicken and their rice. It was to the point where I JUST picked it up and some was already coagulating on the edge of the to go box. -Mega indicator of how rich and indulgent, and likely not healthy for you but delicious as a fried food treat once in awhile. -Generous portions of crisp green onions and furikake on top. -Each bite was rich and delicious. Usually rice is just a carb to help with the savory and salty intake of a protein, but it was also made really addicting with the kimchi butter. There's a slight kick from the spice, but nothing substantial. Some of that spicy powder was also on top of the mac salad (also rich and delicious). -Easily lots of butter, mayo, etc. used so of course it's going to be mega good. I had to stop myself from inhaling the dish so I can take some back for my family to try too. Good stuff, I'd definitely come back, probably with others, hopefully at a closer location to try more of their menu (it's limited but they're super good at what they do) and eat more of their deliciously decadent and filling food.

The cashiers and workers are nice, work hard, and the food comes out fast. It seems like most of their business is online ordering for pick up. Everything behind the counter and in the kitchen was spotless. The not-so good: The restaurant is located inside a food court and there are no signs outside the building that name the restaurants that are inside. We had to turn on Maps to find the location. I'm not sure if the tables inside are cleaned by the individual restaurants or are cleaned by a food court employee... but we had to check for sticky tables when trying to find a seat. The Mac salad has tuna in it. It's not to my liking but my husband really enjoyed it. I highly recommend splitting a combo plate(s) with your favorite person and try to avoid leftovers. The reheated katsu and rice just isn't the same as when it's fresh.... So even with having to check the tables - I do recommend eating at the food court for the freshest and tastiest experience

My milk tea, strangely enough, took the longest to make. The proteins included several types of tuna, salmon, octopus, crab, and shrimp. I chose the Hawaiian tuna, which was fresh and tender, though I wished the marinade had a more pronounced flavor. The fresh toppings were not as plentiful as those at other spots, but they did offer some interesting crunchy additions. I wished the pineapple had not been chopped so finely, since most of the juice had been lost, but I appreciated the inclusion of crushed chips. The sauces leaned toward a spicier profile, so proceed with caution. My honey jasmine milk tea had a surprisingly strong, fragrant taste. The honey was straightforward and settled at the bottom. The drink had the perfect balance of creaminess and milkiness. Overall, the fish was of decent quality, though I hope the selection of toppings expands. I actually found the tea to be the highlight, and I would recommend grabbing a paired beverage.
