The thing I love about Erin as a yoga teacher is that she is really laid-back. I am a klutz, to put it mildly, and not a fitness guru AT ALL. But Erin tailored the classes to my ability level and never made me feel inadequate. She was so positive! She also helped me with some neck and shoulder pain I was having, and gave me some great tips on exercises I could do at home to further alleviate the problem. She really tailors the class to each individual or group. Plus, as a prior reviewer mentioned, she is constantly doing classes and workshops to learn new techniques and practices to share with her students. As a lifelong learner myself, I really appreciate that and think it makes her stand out as a yoga teacher. Later on, my mom came to NYC for a trip and we took a private class together with Erin. My mom had taken some yoga classes back in our hometown, but she commented that Erin was the best instructor, and led the best yoga class, that she has ever had. For those of you who value the yoga lifestyle as a spiritual practice as well as a physical one, you should know that Erin lets her yoga practice infuse all areas of her life. Which means that she is just a delightful person, in addition to being a really excellent teacher. And finally, I think her prices are very reasonable. She will come to you and lead a class in your home which you can share with friends in order to cut the cost. I have trained in massage techniques and multiple healing therapies and have gone to internationally renown body workers throughout my twenty year career for work on my own body - more recently for healing with major spinal injuries and tissue repair. Irina is one of the few people in the world I have found who can read the body inside out, offer intense immediate relief AND longer term repair, guiding the body back to healthy rejuvenation, fluid use, and tissue growth. Irina has a true gift, she reads the body and works so intensely, so consciously along each strand of fascia and releases nerves balled up in scar tissue then deeply contacting muscle strands and tracing them from first connection along the entire length - never losing contact. And my left arm began to swing wildly in a 300 degree Torque with no effort as I walked - a bit freakishly in comparison, where it had previously been stuck to my side. An hour later again, the other side gave way too, and my neck elongated like a giraffe - my whole spine was freed of the girdle and felt I was reaching to the sky. My own "use" could not really shift it turned out, until the sticky scar tissue had a chance to let go -then the clumped up muscles had a chance to lengthen - and finally my skeleton had room to reach upward again, and I could return to my practice of a conscious opening and letting go. My spine had (I thought) shrunken over those years a whole inch, due to disk damage, but the next time my height was measured I was back to full height (6months later still retained that freedom Irina had brought me). The session she released fascia deep around and under my occipital joint - I could actually feel the brain stem pulling restricted and finally, release - it was as if her hands were actually deep inside the skull - I could feel the blood flow and spinal fluid rush in, my thoughts cleared, and ongoing cluster headaches / migraines I'd almost forgotten were there they were so constant, washed away. Pain I'd become accustomed to for several years, coursing throughout my entire neuro-muscular system was gone. This enormous freedom happened in a single one hour session. Irina listened to my body and catered the treatment completely to the deeper information she received. Irina re-educates your cellular, neuromuscular being as she works. She is truly brilliant.

Instead of contacting yelp to get my review taken down why not give me back the money for courses I paid in full for but did not take (because classes were canceled several times) As a Black woman, the experience I've had dealing with the owners has been completely and utterly been disappointing and unprofessional. The way I have been treated and talked down to as if I am not a person, has been eye opening to spiritual companies who claim to offer help. They are just continuing to take advantage of us. My products for the class were forgotten several times along with my classes being cancelled several times way before covid. It has been two years, the classes paid in full are "expired" and I'm being mansplained by Eric the owner on how to have a heart and consider their business. Ive made Eric aware that I don't even live in NY anymore and I am in a position where I need my money back. Now they don't have an address so legal action is being delayed.
