I called Beyond the Leaf because I had used them before. We had a large tree split off one of its stems which fell and damaged our fence and landed on the neighbor's shed. The quote process was done quickly and efficiently. They scheduled the job for the following week. The price was a premium but I used them before and we liked their work. The day came for them to do the job they didn't arrive at the appointed time. We receive a call telling us that they would not be coming as they were tied up with their first job of the day. I was upset that they would not be doing the job at the agreed date. I was told that they would do it the following day. They then tried to postpone again. I got very upset and loudly voiced my displeasure. They then put a crew together and came and did the work. I was very pleased with the actual work. The crew was quick and efficient. The crew was great, the scheduling was not. I would recommend using them if you are willing to wait for them to show up. read more

Arrogant pricks introduce weeds and leave you with a mess to clean up. It's true; they'll send a guy with alligator skin boots to give you an estimate and then a bunch of fancy equipment and pretty boys to prune and take down trees. They also leave ruts, divots, and trash and introduce a tremendous amount of weeds--including Japanese Stilt Grass, Barberry, and other pests that weren't there before. We hired Beyond the Leaf to remove four large trees and three smaller trees on our property in March. They came and cut the trees on March 7 and 8, and piled the logs on our lawn. While they were working, their trucks dug up parts of our lawn and left deep ruts. They removed some of the wood that day. They left a bunch of the wood, however, but we didn't think it was a big issue because they said they would come and remove the wood soon. We had to call Beyond the Leaf to remove the wood several times. After all, their service is "tree removal." All they had done up to that point was cut trees down; they had not yet removed them. We had to call co-owner, Giovanni Paludi, multiple times to get them to come to finish the removal. Because of the size of the ruts, we could not drive our riding mower over it, and the lawn looked terrible for a while. Now it's June, and we haven't heard anything from them. We sent the pictures of the damage to our lawn but eventually had to fix it ourselves once we realized they were not going to do it. As a bonus, their heavy equipment damaged our driveway. We had a good, sturdy driveway before, but now there are three large depressions. Beyond the Leaf has told us this isn't their problem. While the trees are indeed gone, so is our faith in Beyond the Leaf. If you have read this review and still decide to use their services, do not pay them the full amount until they finish the job and fix the damage they will undoubtedly cause to your property. UPDATE: Beyond the Leaf came over and filled in the holes they had made in our yard and seeded them with grass. They brought their own dirt and seeds. They apologized and explained their truck was in the shop, so they could not remove the logs sooner; they also explained the delay in filling the holes was due to a lack of resources at the time, but they were trying to move as quickly as they could. The team that was sent originally and the team sent to fill in the holes were very nice and very professional when they were here, and they worked quickly. While we understand the difficulties in having equipment break down and the frustration of not being able to fulfill contracts because of the breakdown, we still would have preferred if the company kept us updated regarding timelines about when we could expect the work to be complete. If I could give them 4.5 stars I would, but alas, due to the lack of communication, I must round down. read more

This company did a job for me January 22,2024 to remove a fallen tree on my property however they cut the tree & left the stump in front of my property for a week. Had to call them to remove it & they did so that Friday. Today I went out to check my property & they were several branches left behind. They did not complete their job where I paid $950. I am very disappointed with the service perform. This was unacceptable & a sloppy job for a well known company. It took me & my husband over an hour to clean up their mess. I have a landscaper coming to mow my lawn & couldn't do the job. I feel I should get some kind of refund for a job poorly done. I wouldn't recommend your firm to anyone. These guys are absolutely the best. Amazing equipment. Completely professional. Immaculate cleanup after the trees are felled and removed. I have used them several times to remove large, dead trees. They give free estimates, follow-up, arrive promptly and provide expert service. Plus, they have all been very nice guys. Cannot recommend too highly. This company is very good when there is an emergency and you need a tree taken off of your home or car. When that happens, you are very relieved, so, of course, Beyond the Leaf gets a very good rating. However, do not use this company if you need a multi-step or complex job done. The communication between the estimators, the office personnel, and the project mangers is terrible. I have three incidents to back this up. They do not complete the job and act as though there were some things that you didn't tell them to do. I have actually outed them one time on this, and the office person admitted that I was right. We received a flyer in the mail, and at that time we needed an arborist. So we called and the service was quick to examine the property, send a quote and request 10% in advance. The reminder email came in on time that service would be performed on the date agreed. Sure enough, the trucks arrived on time and the crew as very friendly and receptive to suggestions. The work was quick, well done and cleaned up perfectly. This crew/organization should get 6 stars as finding an arborist to return a call or email is sometimes challenging. Lastly, my neighbors were impressed as well and I forwarded Beyond's contact information as they requested contact information as well. Thank you for great work! read more

I have nothing good to say about this company, I had high expectations but they fell significantly short. If you received thier flood of advertisements in your mailbox like I did, your best choice is to throw them away and find a reliable company. They are very over priced and the work they do is sub-substandard at best! I honestly don't know how a company like this has any positive reviews with the low quality work they do. It's especially interesting that if you take the time and do some research about Beyond the leaf, there reviews everywhere else other than google are very low. I used Beyond The Leaf prior to selling my last house. When I had the sewer lateral test done, I found out the roots from our tree had penetrated the pipe. We needed to have the tree removed so the sewer line could be repaired and we had a very short timeline to get this all done before closing. I explained my dilemma to the nice folks at BTL and they were out the same day to give me a quote and the tree was gone in 48 hours (including the stump grinding)! I couldn't have been more pleased with the service and will definitely use them again! read more

After receiving a FLOOD of flyers from this company to both my house and my parents house here in Stewartsville we decided to give them a call. What a joke. They say they are from Milford, but they are actually from bucks county Pennsylvania. Mike who came and gave the quote seemed very nice and knowledgeable but the price was astronomical. He was talking about needing a very large crane which we were not comfortable having in the driveway and was pretty insistent about how this dead tree could not be removed another way, his was the cheapest most logical way in his words. Just because we moved from NYC doesn't mean our pockets are lined with gold. We had the tree removed by a local company last week who not only did not use a crane, they also were about half the price (even though it was still a few thousand dollars) if you've never had trees cut down like us shop around it seems as though prices vary drastically company to company. read more

Feedback on Beyond the Leaf for Tree Trimming - just wanted to share some feedback regarding our recent experience with this company when we hired them to trim several of our trees. While the tree crew was professional and most of the work they did was to our satisfaction, our Acer Maple tree was trimmed in a very lopsided manner (2/3rds of one side). I think they were trying to have the tree not impinge upon the Burning Bushes that were next to it, however I told them before they started the job that I was going to trim those to make sure the tree and the bushes did not crowd each other. Before they cut most of the branches on the one side, I would have expected them to knock on the door (I was working from home) and discuss the plan of attack for this tree. Instead we are left with a very sad looking, expensive tree. And there was no reply to my email I sent to Beyond the Leaf to express our displeasure about this issue. In short, I would not recommend anyone use this company for their tree trimming needs as their work was not satisfactory and their ignoring our complaint does not speak well to their dedication to customer service. read more

We thought that the representative that came to advise us on the planting of decorative trees was very personable--pricey, but personable. He did lower the cost and we were happy with the work that had been done UNTIL----a FEW WEEKS after the 3 flowering trees were planted. One of them started having its leaves turn brown and curl up. We called to ask him to come over to analyze the problem. After several days a man came over and headed to the back yard (without notifying us that he was here). Instead of a discussion from the expert, we got a call from their office to tell us that what we saw was stress from transplanting AND BESIDES, they do not guarantee their work. We will probably have to remove the tree and have a different landscaper plant one. Looks like the price break they gave us will be spent in covering their mistake. read more

I highly recommend BTL. I got several quotes to remove three trees at my home in Morris County, NJ. BTL quoted me $1,000 less than the next company and INCLUDED stump grinding, so really the quote was something like $1500 less than the next company. The arborist, Alan, who came out was very responsive and pleasant to deal with. Their back office staff is also very responsive to both calls and emails. The crew of 5 or so guys came out in only a few short days and did a terrific job. Three trees removed via the crane method, three stumps ground, and a thorough cleanup of the property. We have a 24 acre wooded property that any landscaper would dream of working on. We called Beyond the Leaf after getting several flyers in our mailbox. We hired them to help get control of our weeds and brush early spring 2023. They came and cleared stuff for just under 7K, but when everything grew back starting in June, I played phone tag with them and did not get someone to come back out to look at everything until mid July. AND they sent the wrong guy out, so had to wait for Giovanni to get back to me. Finally Giovanni came back out, basically told me it would be another 7K to get everything cleaned up and they can start fresh again. I need a landscaper that wants to be here and wants our continued business, as we have plenty of it. If you just want new to fly in, clear stuff, cut trees, they are fine, I guess. But do not hire this company if you want continued service and Giovanni has to be one of the worst sales guys I have ever had to deal with. The best part was him talking over me when I was trying to speak. I gave up, said we will take our business else where and hung up. read more

Didn't try to sell any work that he didn't think was necessary and gave me options and prices if I wanted to do the extra work. Gave a lot of good info and exactly what to expect they would do if we decided to move forward. They got me on the schedule quick because of a cancelation they had and came out when they said they would and got the job done. Giovanni also told me they do lawn work while he was here and am looking forward to working with these guys again.
