Baldomero and his team are excellent, our water heater broke overnight and contacted BG plumbing for the first time, within minutes they had scheduled the appointment to come the next day, they arrived on the scheduled window and in a couple of hours we had hot water running in our house again. Baldomero goes above and beyond after completing the service he inspected the house and noticed a leak that I hadn't noticed (on the kitchen but it leaked to the backyard), so they came back the next day to fix that, they did a great job and make sure everything was working properly. Kevin and his team are lifesavers. They were quickly available to diagnose the problem (hot water pipe leak under concrete slab) and fixed the problem over the weekend. First they helped me get cold water running again. Then they fixed the hot water pipe so it was running all within the weekend. They are not only competitively priced, but also quick, hardworking, and thorough. Kevin made sure I was involved in the process (good communication) and they stayed late to fix the problem over the weekend. I live in an Eichler, which means the water pipes are buried under concrete slab. This made the leak repair extra challenging. Consumer BEWARE! We found this company through Yelp. We had a leak from the a celling in the garage in a home occupied by our tenants. Kevin came out to diagnose. In their communication they said the estimate is free. Kevin stated that it would be $285 to check each pipe and find and diagnose a problem. I agreed, even though it was pricer than other companies but I appreciated their prompt response. After of about an hour he called bank saying where the leak is coming from, but it stopped. He said to wait 5 days and see if the leak came back. They left a giant hole in the roof of the garage in the meantime and also didn't communicate that to me. It was the tenants who sent me the pictures. In the morning the NEXT day the tenant sent me a video of the leak. I called them right away and had them come out and lo and behold it was a fridge. In my initial call with Kevin I specially told him to check it, which he assured me he did. Afterward the supervisor called me to tell me that it would cost extra to fix the ceiling they opened up in the garage. I agreed but after his texts I was floored. The whole that THEY MADE and also didn't communicate would cost extra go fix world be $385. So altogether it's $650!?! Do you guys understand that. For less than two hours of work. I work as CFO in multi family property management and their poor communication, value and level of service is simply unacceptable. Please see attached how they left the garage ceiling. I got a quote from a 5 star plumber and repair man here on Yelp to fix if for $180. DO NOT GIVE THESE DISHONEST people your money. Kevin responded extremely quickly - less than 15 minutes. He arranged to come out a few hours later. Had a shower drain issue that had backed up and flooded the bathroom with about 1/2" of water (we have no shower curb). It was a bit more involved then the typical router job as there were stalactite-like buildups of calcium and years of hard water built up on the drain pipe (it was very rock-like). So in addition to some hair, there were also the hard calcium shards that had previously broken off. Kevin was here for about an hour. The drain pipe looks about 90% better than what it did before (which is much better than what I thought it could be). It doesn't look as good as new, but given the starting condition, "good as new" would have been an unrealistic result. But like I said, it looks 90%+ better and I am very pleased. Should reset the clock and provide years of proper drainage. Though I will probably try to incorporate some semi-regular "enzyme" treatment as preventive maintenance. Was $250 which I honestly don't know if that is a good price or not. I rarely hire plumbers and haven't in years and don't know the current going rates. Given the urgency, I wasn't prepared to shop around based on price. BG came quick, did a very good job and the price seemed fair enough to me. read more

We wanted to replace a water heater. After research, we decided to go with Rinnai RXP199in. BG Plumbing is one of the few Rinnai certified technicians in the Bay Area. The owner Baldomero was very responsive and provided reasonable rate. The work was done neatly. After two weeks of installation, we encountered the piping issues. Baldomero responded and resolved the issues immediately. Note: Rinnai RXP199in should allow scheduling and water recirculation. However, you may only do so through Rinnai's app and wifi connector. Unfortunately, the unit doesn't come with the wifi connector. You will have to purchase the wifi connector separately (approx $150-200). I encourage Baldomoero to inform his clients about this in the future. This is Rinnai's issue, so I am not taking any star away from BG Plumbing. read more

They came in on a short notice, identified the problem, found where the block was and worked through till ~9 pm to make sure that our washrooms start working, even though it started raining suddenly and kept raining while they were working. A tech just came by and quoted me $325 to change a kitchen faucet. Nothing difficult or out of the ordinary, just a standard faucet swap. When I asked why it was so much since other quotes are $90-$150, he said, "Well, we have to remove the old one and then install the new one. Maybe you can find a handyman that can do it cheaper." Uh, okay... When I emailed them I have pictures and video of the old and new faucet and underneath the sink, they said they would have to come out to give me an accurate quote. The tech turned off the water, and then turned on the faucet. When no water came out, he said, "Yeah, I can replace this." What a waste of time. I got the faucets replaced for $150 each. I had a mysterious problem for a while. In front yard I measured 80psi (which is quite high) however in the house the water was very small - even more so when multiple faucets were open. I literally had to wait my wash machine finish before taking a shower! Oscar patiently diagnosed the problem for me and walked me through why the pressure regulator was most likely the villain. Unlike another plumber who came by and offered to replace the regulator but gave no guarantee it would fix the problem, I felt much more comfortable after Oscar explained to me the problem and causes. He did a great job replacing both the regulator and my decade-old valve as well. He didn't leave until we tested water pressure and everything returned back to normal. So PGE came over to our place and claim to find slow gas leaking in the house line, not the public line. Therefore they stop one of the pipe that goes from the meter to underground to the water heater. In my case I originally have two gas pipes. One has been stopped now but the other works fine and just go over the water heater into the house. We quote several plumbers. They all says that a new pipe need to be placed from the meter to the water heater. Either they claims that the gas pressure won't be good to support all appliances within one pipe, or they says that the metal pipe cannot be branched. However, B G plumbing is confident to go with the branch plan from beginning and explain my concern during the quote. Since it does not break the house wall, it is also most reasonable price for the job. They provided immediate fix on the next day after quote. Then I understand why they can do this branch job since they invest a lot on their equipment. They have great tool to cut steel pipe, they have nice too to branch out. I called BG about my kitchen sink filling up with water when I run the dishwasher. They said someone could come that day between 12-2pm, and sure enough Kevin came on time. He plugged the sink drain, filled it with water, then watched it drain and said it was working fine. I was skeptical so I started the dishwasher to see if the problem would happen again.
