He spent about 3 hours trying to clear the backed up plumbing and turned out to be a much bigger problem. A broken pipe under the grass from roots. Mark came out to help locate the problem found it and advised me of what needed to be done. No bullshit just honesty and super professional. He dealt with the owner of the property late at night to get the approval and had his guys out first thing the next day to dig up the pipe, replace it and just like that our toilets, showers, sinks and washer are all back in use. I can't thank Mark and his crew enough for all their help, hard work and professionalism. They even left our bathrooms clean and yard clean once completed. Great people great price great work. The guy I spoke to quoted me a reasonable-sounding price for a faucet replacement, so I went ahead and booked for the next day. I told him that I'd ordered a faucet from Amazon to be delivered by 8 AM, so they should maybe come in the afternoon. He said "No problem, we won't get there until 9 or 9:30 AM anyway." Next day, 9:30 AM, I message asking for an ETA. The response is "oh, we were waiting for confirmation that the faucet was delivered." That's interesting, because they never said they needed confirmation, but fine - I'll give it to you now. At 11:30 AM, I get a text saying "I should be there within the hour." At 12:55, I respond asking for an ETA, and get told that they were waiting for confirmation AGAIN, and that because they didn't get it they cannot schedule me for today, with a long message about "driving all the way to the city." I understand wanting confirmation - it would be pretty annoying to travel for a job, only to be sent back because the customer isn't available. But I wasn't asked for confirmation once by either employee who spoke to me, and every other plumber I've ever hired has not required confirmation, either. More importantly, I don't appreciate being spoken to as if it's my fault that I didn't magically understand that they needed something that was never once requested. (And don't get me started about "all the way to the city" - if jobs in a given location are too inconvenient, don't bid for them.) A few minutes ago, I booked with a competitor who offers same-day service, confirmed my availability while I was on the phone with them, and said THEY will send ME a confirmation when they're en route. What a breath of fresh air!

I am the property manager for a building in San Francisco and last night we had a huge leak that we couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I called several plumbing companies that claimed to be 24/7 and none were available until the next day. I called Hydro Plumbing & Rooter and was told someone would arrive within an hour and sure enough the plumber arrived in 40 minutes. The leak was identified and successfully repaired, water was cleaned up and I was able to finally get a peace of mind and get some rest. I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. These people are driving me crazy…read more I contracted with someone to resurface my driveway. They requested I do an inspection of the sewer pipe that extends from my garage to the street. They asked North South Plumbing to do a video, which they did. I offered to pay with a credit card on site, at the time of service. I was told they did not have the capability to take a credit card payment. They sent me an invoice via email. I then attempted to pay them via PayPal. The funds were withdrawn and then returned when they were no claimed. Why? They don't have a PayPal account. I was then contacted via email by someone from their company who requested I send payment to PayPal account frankiekeenan1@aol.com. It was paid. Now they keep contacting me every week or so, asking for payment for this outstanding invoice. I don't know much about their ability to do a plumbing job. They took a video & then gave me an estimate for replacing the pipe that was (imho) exorbitant so I elected to not have them do the work. Their persistence in billing me reflects either a lack of organization or an attempt to bill be twice for their service. Either way, I can't give them a good review.

Our water heater failed December 22. George Salet Plumbing came out on December 23 and provided us options to fix the existing water heater or replace it. We chose to replace as the existing heater was just over 9 years old. We scheduled replacement for Friday, December 26. The plumber called us to let us know the first heater which was delivered, while still functional, was slightly damaged on the bottom. They had a second one delivered the same day and stayed late to replace it. The high efficiency gas blower made a loud noise while running however George Salet returned with a technician from the manufacturer until the issue was resolved. It took two visits and full replacement of the exhaust stack, but they pursued until the issue was fully resolved to our satisfaction at no extra cost.
