A breath of fresh (Thai) air in Mt. Laurel of all places. We had business in Mt Laurel and were starving and after 2:00 so I yelped around us and saw wonderful photos and great reviews for this place. We had no luck here in south jersey for Thai food, so I was excited and hopeful. So we went to the shopping center and entered a beautifully decorated dining room and were met by a lovely waitress who gave us menus. Now I'm really getting excited. I had had pretty bad Thai in Philadelphia (green curry) last week so I felt this green curry was going to surpass that easily. We got spring rolls, chicken green curry and their special fried rice with chicken. My husband thinks I'm a ''food savant'' and I must confess to being a "food snob". This is my new favorite! It is the real deal and they are very charming and helpful. If you look at the photos you get a real sense of the place. Next time I must try one of their desserts, they look fabulous. read more

We had the calamari, Tom Yam soup, chicken fried rice and a couple of entrees. Found it odd that the food trended a bit sweet and they used parsley in the food instead of cilantro. Service was atrociously bad - the waitress took my six year old's plate away even though she wasn't done eating! Great food, very good service. Eating in is consistently very good. Tried different entrees, different appetizers, and different desserts-all were very good. Only issue is phone system. We have had times when we tried to order take out and the call goes directly to voice mail. I tried one night 10 to 20 times before giving up. Looking for lunch with seven coworkers prior to a packed afternoon. VP yelped and found Bhan Thai. It was Noon but they were able to squeeze tables so we could all sit together. (A little later, it would have been impossible because the place was packed!). Although it's in a strip mall, the decor is simple and bright. All lunch entrees start with the soup of the day or salad. The soup was "clear soup." I had the salad but looking at the dishes, the soup must have been good. The salad was iceberg lettuce, carrots, tomato, cucumbers with a sweet dressing which I should have asked for on-the-side. Everybody's entrees came at once. There was a good variety - shrimp, chicken and vegetables in curry and noodle dishes - perfect lunch portions. I had Pad Thai with vegetables - medium spice. It was very good. Thin noodles, lots of vegetables, and a nicely spiced sauce that didn't taste like out of a jar. I couldn't finish everything on my plate! Also had the Iced Thai Coffee - I love Iced Thai Coffee and this was good but, the Iced Thai Tea that my coworker had was so much better... We used to come here in the past and it was our go to spot for Thai but recently the business has gotten a lot busier which is good but the quality of the food depreciated. We ordered the red curry with chicken and pad kra pao with chicken and had chicken wings as an appetizer. SUPER DRY chicken. I think the chef in the back boils all the chicken pieces and puts it on the side and adds it to various dishes. Over cooked and too dry. I wouldn't recommend this place as the service is a bit slow as well. Maybe weekdays but certainly not weekends. read more

We ordered here from the first time recently. My bf got the garlic shrimp which was tiny for a meal costing $22. Six shrimp in broth and rice. Needless to say he was hungry still. My green curry was good however it wasn't exactly as listed on the menu. There was a lot of green peppers and hardly any red which I prefer and in the description green peppers aren't even listed. I travel for work and get tired of the usual types of food clients take me to, so when I can, I eat Thai food. This place, food wise, is one of the best I have ever had. The only place better is the Puket Cafe in Rocky Hill, Ct and that's only because the tofu (I don't eat meat) is a little too squishy for my taste in the Red Curry. Otherwise, this would've been 5 stars. What I love about this place (and Puket) is that their sauce is rich in flavor at the same time as it being spicy. They have mastered the balance. Very good Thai menu with a few interesting surprises in a cozy, clean venue. I wouldn't have even expected French Onion Soup on the menu, but it was not only offered, it was oddly the best I've had just about anywhere! Well made and not from a can for sure. The entrees are very good and the shrimp dish I had was loaded with many plump, well cooked shrimp and fresh vegetables. It's a little over-priced and I was surprised that there were no free iced tea refills. Each smallish glass was $2.50, which can get expensive when eating spicy food. That aside, the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the staff is very pleasant. If you like Thai food, you won't likely find a better offering than this little well run place. read more

One of our favorite places to go. They don't open until 4 pm so make a note. Big fans of crabcake is awesome with fruits mixed in. Perfectly situated as decoration matches restaurant ethos. I went on a Friday night around 7pm and it wasn't crowded. My husband and I ordered appetizers to share: chicken satay and spring rolls. The chicken was tender and flavorful, but the peanut sauce was served on the side and it was too sweet. The spring rolls were crispy, but needed salt and the peach dipping sauce was overly sweet. I was really craving some acid and spice but it was very one note. Our entrees did not disappoint. I ordered the "drunken noodle" dish with beef. It was excellent. The noodles were perfect, the vegetables fresh and it had just the right amount of spice - enough to keep me sipping my thai iced tea. The dish was rated 1 of 3 as indicated by a pepper icon on the menu. I wouldn't have wanted it any spicier. My husband ordered a crispy duck dish that was a special. It did not have a spiciness rating, so he asked the waitress if it could be made spicy. She said they could make it spicy on a scale of 1 to 5. He said 4 and she talked him out of it (eyebrows raised, "4... are you sure?") and he changed his mind to 3. He wished he had stuck with 4 as the dish was not as spicy as he would have liked. My dish was spicier with the 1 of 3 pepper rating. Needless to say their spice factors are confusing and possibly a crap shoot. We skipped dessert but we will definitely be returning. Service was pretty good. My only complaint was they hawked our table and cleared the plates as soon as the last bite was still being chewed. There was an appropriate amount of time between appetizers and entrees. I didn't get sick like some other reviews have stated, but I didn't order seafood. The tables were small and close together. Luckily it wasn't a problem, but if there was a crowd in the restaurant I imagine it would be loud and uncomfortable. I'm not an expert on Thai food - and this place claims to be "Thai fusion" - but I can attest that the ingredients were much higher quality and fresher than any other asian restaurant I have been to in the area. read more
