The restaurant is a bit unassuming, but the food was excellent. I would definitely go back!

The food has gone downhill. A year ago it was the best Thai food around. The noodles were too soft, shrimp was mushy, and one shrimp made my mom get sick. She thinks. It was the only thing she'd eaten. Here's my review dish by dish. Each of these things were perfect a year or two ago. Curry chicken puffs w peanut sauce. Oily or soggy, not crispy like before. Peanut sauce is still the best. Chicken sate was way overcooked, burnt in places, and inedible. Pad See Ew. Noodles could be firmer but the beef and broccoli were good and generously portioned and the sauce was balanced and delicious. Drunken Noodle noodles were too soft and the shrimp was mushy. Shrimp should have some snap. Chicken was ok. Overall not up to their previous standard. Pad Thai shrimp wasn't very good, noodles too soft and shrimp potential past its prime and mushy. Thai iced tea was great. I'm really sorry to post all of this, hopefully they get their old chef back. Believe it or not, I'm rooting for them! read more

Sukho Thai was quite good with their service the heat of the food, the freshness of the food and their speed where it was lacking for us was the pad see ew could've had more sauce and a little bit more flavor. There was this sort of permeating smokiness in the dish which we haven't experienced before. It tasted as if something had been burned in the pan prior to our order, not necessarily something that I think they can control, but it was something that happened nonetheless, the interior was a bit cramped, but it seemed plenty serviceable for a small restaurant. read more

Atmosphere: 5 First off, we came by on a Friday evening and the host asked if we have a reservation. Since we were just passing by on our drive to Maryland, we did not. She still seated us, but it seemed like it might be a good idea to reserve! The restaurant is a bit small but cute. While we looked at the menu, the host brought over two Thai teas on the house. That was the start of the amazing hospitality! I felt like we walked into an Auntie's house because she proceeded to give us dumplings and mango sticky rice on the house! She seemed so excited to share the food with us! Portion: 5 The portions are appropriate and with so much food, we ended up taking home some too! I can't believe that she gave us half of our meal on the house! I love the way the dishes are served too! So many sauces came with the dumplings. Flavors: 5 The dishes are bursting with flavors! I feel like even though some of the dishes are the same as other Thai restaurants, they're more flavorful here. The noodles came with amazing wok chi too! Stopped by this little spot before making our way home to Maryland. They have no parking lot so we did have to find street parking a block over. The place is small with a few tables but it has a warm feeling to it. The service was good and our food was great. I really enjoyed my red curry it was the best I had in a while and my partner loved the crispy duck. An older lady there approached us and made conversation letting us know it was a her family business. It was good food and good conversation. will be back when in Jersey. read more

I was on the hunt for a solid Thai joint closer to me, and this place popped up. I ordered the duck panang with mango and 5 level heat. Look, look..... they have a slightly different flavor than what I've had before, but the profile was dynamite. The mango pieces added a sweet addition to the dish. They are right up there with my other favorite Thai joint, but closer to me. I also had the spring rolls and Thai tea. Both were very good. I remember the musical THE KING and I, which told the story of Thai royalty well ... the accidental discovery of Sukho Thai on the first night of my birthday week when I was really in the mood for Thai food left me feeling as if I was Thai royalty! We were treated incredibly well and made to feel so so special while being fed some of the best Thai food I have had in ages! We were welcomed with a sense of family by the owner, Aum. It was as if we were entering her home for dinner and one of the very first things that she said revealed to us that this was going to be an extraordinary dining experience. She asked if we had any food allergies. Now, when if ever have any of you been asked about food allergies by wait staff or anyone else at a restaurant. Aum definitely made us feel so comfortable and then she asked if we had been here before. Upon hearing that this was our first visit suddenly she presented us with Thai Tea, which was so refreshingly good after having been out in the humid weather. I loved having the kitchen right next to the dining area because nothing can be hidden. A WARNING to all future diners, the dining area is tiny with limited seating (Aum said to be sure to make reservations on the weekend because not surprisingly, it is very hard to get a seat on Friday and Saturday evenings.). She is rightfully proud of her appetizers. We eagerly enjoyed the Curry Chicken Puffs served with a luscious peanut sauce and a blend of chopped veggies and their Crab Rangoon served with two sauces (The sweet sauce was ok but the more savory sauce was so good!) melted in our mouths. Aum kept checking on us to make sure everything was perfect. We ordered our soups but after a few minutes she came back to tell one of us that the Lemongrass Soup was made with a crab base even though one would never know that and my friend had mentioned a seafood allergy so one change of soup order was made. But, I still had the Lemongrass Soup and it was SOOOOOOOOOOOO perfect!!! It did not need a protein because it was full of crisp vegetables amidst a slightly spicy broth that could not be more perfect. I savored each sip. The one whose allergy carefully noted by Aum changed their choice to the Coconut Soup also minus any protein and all we heard were raves about it. So, SukHo Thai passed the soup test with 5 plus stars!!! The entrees were just as amazing!!! The presentation began the process ... they looked INSTAGRAM perfect but the flavors were even better! I know with my Drunken Noodles that each bite had my brain scrambling to identify the amazing flavors I was consuming. A large portion for every entree so definitely boxes were needed. Frankly, we were full ... and satisfied ... and then Aum presented us with an 'on the house' sampling of the sticky rice with mangoes and vanilla ice cream. What a perfect close to an incredibly amazing dinner!!! I would never expect nor should you expect free food when you eat out. What you should expect is good service and delicious food and SUK THAI delivers beyond almost any restaurant you will ever go to! You don't have to go to the ultra expensive center city dining locations to be treated like family because SUK THAI delivers!!! As of last night, SUK HO THAI has become a regular stopping spot for me ... I love to cook but even more so I love to be treated special while enjoying amazing food! The translation of SUK HO THAI to English is "Dawn of Happiness!" In the early evening hours of my yesterday a new dawn of happiness was rising because of the incredible experience I had enjoying perfect Thai food to kick off my birthday week! Middle of the road food, if I had lower expectations I wouldn't have been so disappointed. The reviews definitely didn't align this time. We went with our standard order of spicy drunken noodles & eggplant dish. The noodles were ok but oddly sweet. The eggplant entree was truly almost all carrots and onions. . It's not like it had meat in the dish, why so little eggplant? A mystery although what was there was good. Overall, sticking with Pinto instead but wishing this business well. read more

WOW!!! HIDDEN GEM!!! I recommend calling for reservations, going early, or doing take out. They only have 5 tables so it's helpful to the owner to know what's coming!!! We stopped it for an early dinner and luckily was able to get seated right away. The owner asked us a few questions and started firing out a few items on the house since it was our first time. Crab Rangoons and Thai Iced Tea is a must!!! So good. We got the thai chicken larb salad medium spicy which was good but too spicy for me. My husband loved it though!!! We got the Penang curry with chicken. It was delicious. Even our toddler ate it!!! And for complimentary dessert, she brought out the mango sticky rice. Do not sleep on this wonderful Thai restaurant!!! My bestie and I went tonight it was all fresh and amazing. From appetizers to dessert was stellar and presented beautifully. The sampler crispy chive dumpling and chicken curry puff was very thoughtful treat from the owner . Delicious! The appetizers we ordered were Thai tulip dumpling and crab Rangoon were very good and sauces hit the spot ! We chose chicken drunken noodles and shrimp pai Thai ....enough for second meal! Easily our new favorite Thai spot. I found this place on Yelp and had to try it for the first time. We did the meal deal with 1 app, 1 entrée, 1 dessert, and 1 drink. For two people, we ordered the crispy tofu, crab rangoon, red curry, pad see ew, mango sticky rice, egg custard, Thai tea, and Thai iced coffee. Everything was amazing. The crab rangoons were not too sweet and very crispy and fresh. My red curry had the perfect amount of spice. We added the half duck to the pad see ew and it was great. What a wonderful surprise! A new Thai restaurant in Runnemede. For our first order, we did take-out via their website. Take out? Their website is super easy to use and order from. Food was packaged with care. Not only was the cold items rightfully on the bottom but even the duck was packaged separately from the curry (to prevent it from getting soggy). Service? So friendly. I felt at home. They even gave me Thai iced tea and mango sticky rice on the house for the holiday. More on that sticky rice in a moment. Location? Easy to get to. Parking in the Municipal lot next door. I did not go inside but there seem to be a few tables. Definitely coming back to dine in next time. Food? Wow!!! Papaya salad was very good. While we normally get it with beef, we tried the shrimp - very plump. It came with beans and tomato - perfect crunch with the fish sauce. Crispy duck was delicious. The crunch! And the duck was surprisingly not salty at all. Curry with mango was a surprise. We were used to pineapple in this dish. A welcome surprise! Drunken noodles...we got it with beef. They did not skimp on the beef. And the noodles were cooked perfectly. The sauce was exquisite. Add in some spice and I'm in heaven. They packed our to-go box with spices including chili peppers which elevated every dish to perfection. The mango sticky rice is not to be missed. Sweet but not overpowering - it and the iced tea were the perfect way to celebrate the end of a really great meal. Well, Runnemede needed Sukho, and Sukho needs a bigger kitchen. The food options can be a little limited in Runnemede, so Sukho is a welcome addition. I went in to place my to go order on a Friday night because I typically won't order takeout if I haven't seen the inside of a restaurant. The owner is a lovely woman who apologized and asked if I could pick up my order in an hour as the kitchen was backed up. No big deal to me. Understandable for that to happen, there were only 2 people working. She gave me a Thai ice tea and I came back in an hour. We ordered 2 pad kee Mao (one tofu, one chicken) The tofu is deep fried separately which I love and the dish was very flavorful. A decent spice and portion size. My husband loved his chicken version as well. The curry chicken puffs were delicious, bordering on the edge of too sweet for my palate but very good especially with the cucumber salad that accompanied the dish. It also had a peanut sauce but I'm not really a fan of peanuts in general. The chicken wings were good. Fried and seasoned perfectly. The sauce on the side was tangy and sweet. Casual, amazing, authentic Thai food you will not be disappointed. Must try ASAP in person! You can taste, see, and smell the difference between this Thai food and most other Thai restaurants in south Jersey (Collingswood and Cherry Hill). The quality and prices beat Philly 10x over. The seasonings and ingredients used are authentic unlike most places that clearly under season and omit ingredients to appease blander taste. Most seasonings are displayed by the open kitchen and Asians know those are the best brands, they do not skimp! The service is phenomenal, kind, and crazy generous! We too received lots of complimentary items, all of which were delicious and we had to take most food to go we were so full! Wear loose clothing. If you ever crave or want Thai this is a must try. If you can't handle spicy be sure to mention it and you will be taken care of. They can put the peppers on the side. Definitely make a reservation to ensure space, or order ahead. Best is to call ahead if you want to order out, since all is made to order wait times can add up. Everything was so good and fresh. My daughter, who doesn't often rave about food just told me that she wants to add the curry chicken puffs to her "last meal" list, they were that good. The chicken satay was good overall and the peanut sauce is excellent with a tiny kick to it. The Pad Se Ew was yummy, though I wish there was a choice to have it with beef. I had high expectations after seeing great reviews. I am not a beginner when it comes to asian food. I am quite familiar with what good Thai food tastes like. I've been to Thailand a few years back. The food was very bland. The chicken green curry was not good. It didn't have any flavor of Thai cooking. The lemongrass soup was very salty and not flavorful. The chicken larb didn't have much flavor at all. The sauce was very bland. Overall I do not recommend this restaurant for authentic Thai cooking. The portion was ok. Sukhothai is a small restaurant in a great location. It has the appearance of a takeout establishment, but we were immediately welcomed to sit at a table in a cute dining area. Our group went on a Sunday evening. The dumpling appetizer and Crab Rangoon the table shared were fresh and delicious. For an entrée, I had the Mookho served in a delicious broth. Thai iced tea was refreshing and the Mango Sticky Rice was sweet and moist, served with a generous portion of freshly sliced mango. The portions are generous. The service was attentive with our gracious hostess inquired about any food allergies and periodically checked to see if we needed anything. All of the food was cooked to order. My coworker and I came into town for a meeting, found this place by accident. It's a small, homey, hole-in-the-wall restaurant packed with flavors. The owner is incredibly friendly and generous. She introduced us a picture of her home town in Thailand that's hung on the wall and talked to us the difference flavors between northern and southern Thailand. To top it off, she gave us free Thai ice tea, appetizers and dessert to try. I left this place not only with tons of good food in my belly, but also warmth in my heart.
