Very average Chinese food. I was in the area and looking for a quick bite for lunch. I stepped inside Mings and it's a basic order at the counter tpe of Chinese food establishment. There are a few tables as well as outdoor seating. The restaurant was empty, but the staff was friendly and greeted me upon arrival. I ordered Chicken with Snow Peas. It was fairly bland, but the portion size for a pint was enough for two.

J6. Bean Curd with Garlic Sauce

Food was ok. Portion was small for the price which is $2-3 higher per entree on grubhub. Broccoli was crisp, good amount of sauce and tofu was crispy and chewy.

My burnt egg foo young!! H4. Shrimp Egg Foo Young

EVER SINCE THE NEW OWNERS TOOK OVER ITS NEVER BEEN THE SAME. It's been quite a few years since the takeover. We have gone a handful of times, very mediocre food, dine in essentially take out and eating at one of the tables provided but there is a tip jar at the cashier... Tonight we had take out and I was just disgusted with the food quality and taste. My shrimp foo young was burnt on the bottom, shrimp was very small and dry. The gravy is served atop of the egg foo young which makes for soggy rice and not enough gravy to my taste for the entree. This is the last time we will be going there.. Their bbq ribs are 18.50 for ten ribs. Higher than other take out restaurants. You can get a half rack at a sit down restaurant for that price with sides!! The online menu states 10.25 or 10.50, that's the price for a small order. They do not provide the price for the large so when I saw the bill for the large size I told him that I wanted the small order. His reply was " we already made the large." Just poor quality food, lousy service and prices are higher than other Chinese take out.

    Bland house LoMein

First time ordering. Was excited to go since I've heard good things and because my old favorite place changed hands. The inside of the place was very inviting. Sad to say the Singapore Mei Fun smelled and tasted like an old house closet. Beef and broccoli was bland and so was the house LoMein. Rib tips were dry as a desert and flavorless. Sad to say we won't be going back. Really I actually want my $62 back!

    Lunch special. Chicken and broccoli.

It's ok. Not great, not bad, ok. Lunch special is just the entree and rice. Most places add an egg roll or soup for the same price. Their garlic sauce is a sweetish unspicy yu xiang sauce, of which there is a small contribution. If you like sauce you can see maybe ask for extra. My chicken and broccoli also had carrots. It's not hard: the name of the dishe is chicken and broccoli not chicken and broccoli and carrots. The fried rice is sparsely populated and has very little soy sauce. At least it's not that yellow junk.

    Yuck.

General Tao chicken was tasteless no effort put into making this... they used cheap rice. The only thing good was the crab raggon!

I highly recommend this restaurant to any seafood lover. They prepared our dishes using a wonderful variety of techniques. I was initially hesitant to order the steamed Chilean sea bass, but it turned out to be perfect light, flaky, and with perfectly balanced aromatics that I'll be dreaming about until I return. Our server Vinnie was elegant and funny. He handled all our questions with ease and even brought us a complimentary side dish he personally enjoyed, which was a lovely touch. I felt like I was dining in seafood heaven; each dish was more exciting than the last. And I can't forget about the cocktails! Although I don't have a photo of my mango Moscow mule, it was the perfect pairing for my Asian-inspired three-course seafood meal. This restaurant definitely has a fancy vibe, you'll want to dress up a bit. But since it was a hot 100-degree day, my family and I appreciated the staff's kindness in welcoming us despite our casual attire. I can't praise enough the wonderful people here. The chef, the front-of-house team, and the wait staff are all five-stars! They made my family feel truly special and well taken care of. This spot is easily in my top three restaurants I've visited this year! My family and I can't wait to come back.

Great phone voice, by the way. We walked to the restaurant during the purported "heat dome" weekend. Fortunately, the air conditioning is pristine. We sat at the oyster bar and recommend you do so too. Our waiter was great. We should have caught his name but didn't. Either way, he was a real one. P spotted some absolute babe across the bar and asked our waiter what she was drinking. Important side note: attractive people dine here, but not in an intimidating way if you're a normie. Turns out it was a mocktail from the Zero Proof menu. We don't judge. Our waiter then turned us on to an OG move: order a mocktail and add booze. P got the Pink Drink and added vodka. J ordered a Bee's Knees and a Firing Squad. All above average. Anyway, we created an oyster flight and got two of each, working our way across the Eastern Seaboard. The house sauce was fantastic and incorporated some sort of onion and horseradish combination. We don't pretend to understand what that sorcery was, but keep doing it. Create your own GD oyster flight. You won't regret it. We also ordered some shrimp cocktail and shared the lobster roll sandwich. We forgot to take pics, but the generic photo attached is actually how it looks. Not a bad bite. This was the perfect amount of food for two hungover people who took IR Adderall before the walk. We lingered for a while and they don't push you out. Ended up ordering a couple IPAs. They started shucking oysters to prepare for the dinner crowd, which is neat to watch when you're on the spectrum like us. Also, the walls are covered in different oyster plates. We spent about 20 minutes discussing which one was our favorite. We landed on a green one. It's a real vibe lifter of a joint. Brought us back to life. 10/10.

Unfortunately, the service is what really brought the rating down. For a restaurant where you're spending around $50 per person, I expected much better service. My glass stayed empty for long periods of time, and it took forever just to get our waitress to come back to the table. I was dressed in sports gear since I'm visiting from out of town, and I couldn't help but feel like maybe we were judged based on how we were dressed instead of being given the same level of service as everyone else. I can't say for sure that was the case, but that's how the experience made me feel. The oysters were great, but when you're paying these prices, the service should match the quality of the food. Unfortunately, it didn't during my visit.

I do not eat seafood and was confused by the fishy smell and presence of meat. Luckily it was a simple cross-table mixup. Furthermore, the mushroom gnocchi was horrible.
