J6. Bean Curd with Garlic Sauce

Food was ok. Portion was small for the price which is $2-3 higher per entree on grubhub. Broccoli was crisp, good amount of sauce and tofu was crispy and chewy.

My burnt egg foo young!! H4. Shrimp Egg Foo Young

EVER SINCE THE NEW OWNERS TOOK OVER ITS NEVER BEEN THE SAME. It's been quite a few years since the takeover. We have gone a handful of times, very mediocre food, dine in essentially take out and eating at one of the tables provided but there is a tip jar at the cashier... Tonight we had take out and I was just disgusted with the food quality and taste. My shrimp foo young was burnt on the bottom, shrimp was very small and dry. The gravy is served atop of the egg foo young which makes for soggy rice and not enough gravy to my taste for the entree. This is the last time we will be going there.. Their bbq ribs are 18.50 for ten ribs. Higher than other take out restaurants. You can get a half rack at a sit down restaurant for that price with sides!! The online menu states 10.25 or 10.50, that's the price for a small order. They do not provide the price for the large so when I saw the bill for the large size I told him that I wanted the small order. His reply was " we already made the large." Just poor quality food, lousy service and prices are higher than other Chinese take out.

    Bland house LoMein

First time ordering. Was excited to go since I've heard good things and because my old favorite place changed hands. The inside of the place was very inviting. Sad to say the Singapore Mei Fun smelled and tasted like an old house closet. Beef and broccoli was bland and so was the house LoMein. Rib tips were dry as a desert and flavorless. Sad to say we won't be going back. Really I actually want my $62 back!

    Lunch special. Chicken and broccoli.

It's ok. Not great, not bad, ok. Lunch special is just the entree and rice. Most places add an egg roll or soup for the same price. Their garlic sauce is a sweetish unspicy yu xiang sauce, of which there is a small contribution. If you like sauce you can see maybe ask for extra. My chicken and broccoli also had carrots. It's not hard: the name of the dishe is chicken and broccoli not chicken and broccoli and carrots. The fried rice is sparsely populated and has very little soy sauce. At least it's not that yellow junk.

    Yuck.

General Tao chicken was tasteless no effort put into making this... they used cheap rice. The only thing good was the crab raggon!

This restaurant needs to stay on our radar more often!…read more Il Villaggio offers a Happy Hour Menu with drink and food specials. It's $6 off bar menu items, $3 off cocktails and wine, and $2 off draft beers. Sunday through Thursday from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. At the bar, we enjoyed the Filet Mignon Carpaccio, the Shrimp Spring Rolls, and we all shared the Homemade Gnocchi (Porcini cream sauce). Get the gnocchi! For dinner, we ordered the Homemade Lobster Raviolis, Penne Vodka (my love and I split this) and one of the ravioli specials. Everything was delicious. We sat at a high-top table in the beautiful bar area. It was lively and cozy. There was live entertainment but at a comfortable volume. The staff was very welcoming and warm. Even the food runners were engaging. A great time all around!

The staff was kind, though our waiter kept forgetting who ordered what and our food runner mixed up…read moreseafood gnocchi with my mushroom gnocchi, due to asking "and who got the gnocchi?" I do not eat seafood and was confused by the fishy smell and presence of meat. Luckily it was a simple cross-table mixup. Furthermore, the mushroom gnocchi was horrible. It was made with pure whipping cream, which is probably a valid Italian approach, but it had to have been 100g of fat, and it tasted like warm thick milk, with no flavor and minimal mushrooms. I felt sick to my stomach the rest of the night. The restaurant was packed and tastefully decorated. They have a great signature cocktail list but I couldn't hear myself or anyone at my table. Average decibel level was 85 through the course of our 90 minute stay. My ears felt raw once I got outside. Lastly, it's a mandatory (and complimentary) valet for parking. Just be prepared. If you like Italian, may be worth a shot. Folks were pleased with oysters and mashed potatoes at my table, but I have no desire to come back.
