Very average Chinese food. I was in the area and looking for a quick bite for lunch. I stepped inside Mings and it's a basic order at the counter tpe of Chinese food establishment. There are a few tables as well as outdoor seating. The restaurant was empty, but the staff was friendly and greeted me upon arrival. I ordered Chicken with Snow Peas. It was fairly bland, but the portion size for a pint was enough for two. read more

We have gone a handful of times, very mediocre food, dine in essentially take out and eating at one of the tables provided but there is a tip jar at the cashier... Tonight we had take out and I was just disgusted with the food quality and taste. My shrimp foo young was burnt on the bottom, shrimp was very small and dry. The gravy is served atop of the egg foo young which makes for soggy rice and not enough gravy to my taste for the entree. This is the last time we will be going there.. Their bbq ribs are 18.50 for ten ribs. Higher than other take out restaurants. You can get a half rack at a sit down restaurant for that price with sides!! The online menu states 10.25 or 10.50, that's the price for a small order. They do not provide the price for the large so when I saw the bill for the large size I told him that I wanted the small order. His reply was " we already made the large." Just poor quality food, lousy service and prices are higher than other Chinese take out. read more

First time ordering. Was excited to go since I've heard good things and because my old favorite place changed hands. The inside of the place was very inviting. Sad to say the Singapore Mei Fun smelled and tasted like an old house closet. Beef and broccoli was bland and so was the house LoMein. Rib tips were dry as a desert and flavorless. I'm sorry to say that some of the food selections weren't that tasty. The spring roll and Egg Foo Young dish had a bitterness to them. It could be a traditional regional food dish. The vegetables looked bland and not fresh. Were they cooked ahead of time and frozen? The ribs were good and soft enough but needed more juiciness or sauce. My husband liked the Pepper Steak dish. The week before, I had a delicious and not expensive meal - very fresh (it took a long time to cook during a busy time) in the shopping center next to the Jefferson, Washington Twp. I was in the area (mostly take out) but worth the wait. A lot of people came in and out for pick up. As for Ming Gardens, the food needs to be fresh, of better quality, and from what other's say, reduced in price (my daughter purchased it) or at least be well-prepared. The location may draw but not redraw until more of the dishes are improved. read more

It's ok. Not great, not bad, ok. Lunch special is just the entree and rice. Most places add an egg roll or soup for the same price. Their garlic sauce is a sweetish unspicy yu xiang sauce, of which there is a small contribution. If you like sauce you can see maybe ask for extra. My chicken and broccoli also had carrots. It's not hard: the name of the dishe is chicken and broccoli not chicken and broccoli and carrots. The fried rice is sparsely populated and has very little soy sauce. Fast, Helpful, Clean, Pleasant, and Delicious!! For the spicy dishes we chose the "General Tso's" and the "Shrimp with Orange". Both had just the right spice and were delicious! Still supporting local restaurants in late 2020, ordered a few items from Ming Chicken and Eggplant and General Tso's chicken both were very tasty. Ask for them extra spicy maybe I can just take more heat than other peep's so if you like your dishes hot request some hot oil. Portions were very generous and we will get at least three separate meals out of each order. Worth the trip and price. read more

Americanized Chinese food that hits the spot. I'm a fan of their Shrimp Egg Foo Young, out of all the local places I've tried they have the version I like the best. Most of the time I get take out, but I have sat in the restaurant a few times (before COVID). The service is lacking a little, the woman who works behind the counter is also the server and while she isn't mean, she's not nice either. She tends to drop the food at the table and go without a word. But since I get take out from here more often than sitting inside, I will ignore that. read more

My sister lives nearby, so this is their Go-To Chinese take-out. One of the things they offer frequently is their won-ton soup, which their five-year-old daughter absolutely adores and will eat every day if she could. My brother-in-law doesn't eat much meat, so he prefers the General Tsao here because the chicken meat is usually white. I've liked almost everything I've had here. Service: Very quick. Food: Above average for your standard Chinese take-out, but don't expect anything exotic or extra flavorful. I Prices: Excellent. I can't believe their won ton soup is so inexpensive, compared to where I live in Lake Tahoe. I think the same size costs about $7 here and it's only $4 or so at t his place. read more

Been in Cherry Hill for 13 years and looks like this place got renovated and have new owners, still great food and customer service! Very clean restaurant if you ask me. I only have one thing, the Chinese pancake is just a big dough with not much scallions and taste, it's my first time seeing this type of Chinese pancake, and I'm not much of a fan of it, otherwise all the food we ordered was great. Ordered Grandfathers Chicken because it said " white meat" chicken, compared to the dark meat that they use in General tsao, or sweet and sour chicken. Party of three, one other person got the sweet and sour chicken, the chicken was fine. The boneless ribs were fine. HOWEVER, the Grandfathers chicken was inedible. I could not bite into it, and I have all of my teeth! What I did manage to bite off, I chewed and had to spit out because it was hard and stringy. What a waste of money. I do not like wasting my money. Will not go back there and I have lived here for 3 decades. read more

I've been eating at Ming Gardens since before they moved over 25 years ago from the strip shopping center on Route 70 where Cordivari's Farm Market was located, and stayed loyal after they had a fire 6-7 years ago. I have always noted excellent kitchen and dining room cleanliness, and enjoyed good service & great food, whether carry-out or dine-in. This last time, with my mother, I noticed they had all-new people; and reading through the reviews, they changed hands. Normally, I'm leery of new restaurant ownership, but I noticed the kitchen was still clean, so we decided to sit down. In the past, all the tables were clean; but this time, two were left dirty. Service was slow. My mother ordered the Sweet & Sour chicken, which normally would have pineapple chunks and the sauce mixed in. This time, it was plain chicken nuggets that looked like frozen Costco, with a couple pineapple chunks in a bowl of sauce which came right out of a bottle -- A definite drop in food quality. My Roast Pork with Chinese Vegetables, which before were flavorful and tasty; but this time was bland, with a totally bland, unseasoned "sauce." I was all set to give them a 2-star rating because at least the kitchen was clean; but several hours later, I got food poisoning, hence me docking a star. It's really sad to see a real favorite for over two decades fall so precipitously, so fast. read more

Without doubt, the worst Chinese food that I have ever had the displeasure of putting in my mouth, and quickly spitting it out. Let's start with the disgusting soup, it was not even chicken broth, but a preparation from instant soup powder filled with MSG. The egg roll was the greasiest and most tasteless egg roll I've ever had. It was pathetically bad. On to the "main dish," Shredded Pork with Scallions..... what can I say, it was so bad, so greasy, incredibly bad industrial Chinese American fast food. Nothing but onions, scallions, pork almost non-existent in a sauce filled with salt and soybean oil. Oh my, I've never tasted something so disgusting in a long time. I walked out of that piece of garbage restaurant, loaded with poisonous fake food. Don't waste your money here. McDonald's is much better, and that's not saying much. read more

After the ownership had changed, food is not as great and lunch special is expensive considering that they took off the egg roll with it... I'm sorry, I've been coming to this place for almost 20years but the change of ownership don't make this place better but it got worse! They keep denying that the ownership was changed but I know Steve since I was little and him and his family don't own this place anymore... Ming Garden is in the Ellisburg Shopping Center, next to a Whole Foods. This is the second establishment I've come across in this area that is midway between a Chinese takeout and a Chinese restaurant. The kitchen and order counter seem geared mostly for Chinese takeout but they do also have a number of tables for dine-in. Service was rather efficient and friendly. The lady from the counter and a guy from the kitchen took turns taking orders and bringing out food. In terms of flavor and presentation, the food was definitely a cut above the average Chinese takeout. No yellow rice syndrome was in evidence and their sauces and ingredients were a refreshing change from the ordinary. This place will be on my list for the next time I'm in the area. read more

This is one of my favorite Chinese store in town. The food is always great. I definitely recommend it!

I live close to this place and have eaten here twice---both times by myself and voraciously hungry. The last time it was also on a very cold day. I'll get to the food in a minute but first to say that the owner is a super nice guy who seems to truly enjoy what he is doing and seeks to make his customers happy and like family. And it must be working because I see customers coming in, asking about his family and chatting a bit before the order is taken. I ordered one of the dinner combinations which was quite filling and a decent value and ate every single morsel. The owner returned multiple times to keep the tea filled....like I said, it was a very cold day so this was much appreciated. The hot and sour soup was nice, and the chicken with vegetables had tasty tender chicken with a good variety of healthy veggies. If you go here, expect to be satisfied with tasty food, and plenty of it. read more

Myself a few coworkers decided to try Ming Garden for lunch yesterday because it's close to our office and the Yelp reviews were all pretty good. We decided to go there to eat instead of staying in the office. If you decide to eat there just be prepared that you might have to wait a few minutes. Ming Garden is set up for takeout and delivery and as such there were only about 8-10 4 person tables along one side of the restaurant. All but one were occupied when we got there. The service was very good, we had just sat down and they were right there with menus and taking drink orders. Once we placed our order the food was out to us incredibly quickly. They either had ESP and knew what we were going to order or the kitchen staff is just brutally efficient. When the food came out I was pretty shocked just how large a portion we were given. My Sesame Chicken was very good (not the best I've ever had, but easily the best I've had in the area) and the pork fried rice was also good. For that we're at 3 stars, what pushed Ming Garden up to 4 stars is how inexpensive it was for the size portions that we received. $6.50 for Sesame Chicken w/Fried Rice, an Eggroll and a Soda is a great value. read more

This is my go to Chinese restaurant in the Cherry Hill area. It's a bummer they don't open on Monday's. I always order ahead of time and everything takes about 15 minutes. The place is cute and small. The cashier is quick and attentive. I enjoy the food ( I probably order here twice a month lol). I usually get the roast pork appetizer with white rice because it's delicious. They are reasonably priced and easily located. read more

We got dinner tonight and I'm disappointed and not sure I'll go back. The rest of my family seemed ok with it, I should say but I'm giving my opinion and experience. I called in our order at about 5pm Friday. The man taking my order was very nice but put me on hold to answer other calls and he was clearly rushed so I didn't get to specify brown rice for all of our meals so the white rice is a throwaway. I ordered egg drop wonton soup which was fine. The wontons were heavy and doughy, but still good. I ordered a large vegetable lo mein. I was really disappointed with it. The vegetables were lettuce mostly with a few carrot shreds and some sliced mushrooms. That's it! I thought some broccoli, peppers, string beans. Something. Just plain noodles.
