I was contacted once about five weeks later to ask me if I wanted to schedule a training session. By this time I had already made my first of four attempts to cancel the service. They never contacted me again about a training session, but since they wouldn't cancel my service and I stopped payments through the credit card. They got very interested in contacting me every few days about paying for the service that they never provided.

They double dip once they sell you a membership with lots of features and then they rent out those features and amenities to people that pay more, so you can't use what they sold the membership as, a classic bait and switch. The pool is great but you can only use when they are not reserving it for private use and lessons. The pickleball courts are great but you can only use them when they are renting them out for lessons, leagues and other money making events. I always feel like a sheep waiting to get fleeced by the employees trying to make quota on revenues. Buy this supplement, take this class, buy this lesson, try then drink, smh. They create an adversarial relationship with their so called "guest" by using them and not appreciating them. You are not a valued customer, you are "Mark" that has been lured in with fast talk so they can get access to your wallet.

Kirk cares enough about his members to learn their names, their stories, and always welcomes you back with a smile. The gym itself doesn't scream "saunas and shiny wax floors" but you can tell as soon as you walk in that Strouds has been put together with intention and held together by the community that calls Strouds home. The equipment is well loved and not the newest, but there's a little bit of everything. Cardio Queen? Jump on the treadmill, stationary bike, or stair master. Meat Head? There's an entire room dedicated to being stronger than the person next to you. Fighter? There's also a room for punching and rolling around on the floor. See! Strouds has everything and welcomes everyone. You'll be better off for joining, promise!
