We came to Bhojanic to celebrate an anniversary. We didn't have reservations , we figured it wouldn't be too busy on a Monday for dinner. We were seated promptly. For starters we ordered the tandoori chicken ( originally ordered the wings but they were out) this was very dry and almost tasted like it was heated up in a microwave. We also ordered the pani puri which was okay, the water was a bit salty but spicy nonetheless to make up for it. We also ordered the poutine which was average. The burrito was a favorite by the table along with the Mexican bhel. The burrito was almost like biryani stuffed in a flour tortilla. For the main course we ordered the saag and chilli paneer. The saag was really good and even good the next day. The chili paneer was a bit sweet and not your typical chilli paneer. For dessert we ordered a gulab jamun which was good, warm, good amount of sugar.

Came here for a Sunday afternoon lunch. I hadn't been to Bhojanic in YEARS but I was pleased to see that everything tasted exactly as I remembered! My server Alisha was great- super attentive even though she had other tables and was helpful in explaining the menu changes. I ordered the Shakahari Thali with alu ghobi, saag paneer, and chili paneer. The menu has changed quite a bit so it took me some time to navigate to what I wanted. They also have stuffed naan here, and I tried the paneer naan. It was really tasty! This is definitely one of the most unique Indian restaurants in the area which can be seen from the menu, with things like tots and nachos. They take the term "fusion" seriously! Definitely worth a visit.

Bhojanic is a popular Atlanta area Indian restaurant which recently opened a second location (March 2013) in Buckhead at the Shops Around Lenox. I'm familiar with Bhojanic because I've been to the original location in Decatur and have attended events catered by the restaurant. When it comes to Indian restaurants in Atlanta, Bhojanic is one of the nicer ones. The Buckhead location is new and shiny. The space is tastefully decorated from floor to ceiling. The interior is narrow, but the modern design makes it feel spacious. The polished concrete floors are decorated with Indian prints, colorful pillows line the bench seating against the wall, and various ornamented light fixtures hang from above. Inside, there's a bar, a semi-private section for group dining, and table seating. Outside, there are several small tables on the front patio. Bhojanic serves authentic Indian food in both tapas (small, shareable plates) and entree form. The menu includes parathas (flatbread), chat (street food including different kinds of puri), kathi rolls (similar to small burritos), curry dishes, and salads. Thalis are also offered. Thalis are combination platters and I recommend them because you get to try a lot of different dishes. Expect to spend about $7-9 each for most of the tapas-sized plates, parathas, chat, and kathi rolls. The full-sized entrees are upwards of $18 (e.g. goat curry). Thalis are about $12-15 each, depending on how many meats and vegetables you order. The thali meat and vegetable options change often. There's also a paneer (cheese) of the day, biryani (rice) of the day, and specials. We visited on a Saturday afternoon no more than a month after the grand opening and most of the time, we were the only customers inside the restaurant. I tried the following on thali platters: Saag Paneer - creamed spinach with Indian cheese Chicken Curry - bone-in chicken in a ginger, garlic, onion, and yogurt-based curry Alu Gobhi - potatoes and cauliflower with ginger and tomato Chicken Tikka Masala - boneless tandoori chicken in a tomato cream sauce Daal Makhini - black lentils tempered with asafetida Bhindi Masala - sauteed okra with caramelized onions I like the way Bhojanic serves its thalis. Each thali is served on a metal tray with six compartments, each compartment designed for one food item. It's neat and reminds me of the cafeteria trays from elementary school. Other restaurants typically serve thalis in several small metal bowls (similar to banchan). The upper three compartments have your chosen meat/veggie items. The bottom three compartments have raita (cucumber yogurt sauce), rice pullao (rice with peas and carrots) and papadam (crispy lentil cracker), and a small side salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber). The thali also comes with chapati (flat bread). Generally, almost everything tasted good. A few of the items were a bit overseasoned (one tremendously). I loved how soft and fluffy the rice pullao was. I wouldn't mind ordering a bowl of this a la carte ($2.95). The chapati was freshly baked, so it was served still steaming and glistening from the oven. Along with the papadam, these were ideal accompaniments to the flavorful food. I enjoyed all of the meat/veggie selections except for the Bhindi Masala. It was inedibly salty. I can tolerate salty foods, but it was too salty even for me. I tried mixing the bhindi with rice, chapati, and raita to drown out the saltiness, but it didn't help. I attempted to force myself to finish it, but couldn't. It was that bad -- a shame because I love okra. In addition, the Bhindi Masala was the only thali vegetable selection that day which incurred an additional charge of $1.50, leaving me that much more disappointed. I like Indian creamed spinach, often called Palak Paneer or Saag Paneer (as it's called here). It was smooth and creamy, but also more salty than average. Not nearly as bad as the bhindi, though. Bhojanic's version has cubes of paneer cheese (Indian cheese) in it, which is common. Both of the chicken dishes were delicious. I give a slight edge to the chicken curry. Both were flavorful. Note the Chicken Curry comes bone-in, so you'll have to work your away through bones if you want to enjoy it. The Chicken Tikka Masala is boneless. In both cases, the meat was tender and savory. The tomato flavor was evident when eating the Chicken Tikka Masala, moreso than I've experienced before. The Alu Gobhi was my favorite veggie, perhaps even over the Saag Paneer. The potatoes and cauliflower were covered in a rich and pungent sauce. Watch out for the chunks of ginger, which can be quite strong. More cauliflower, please. The Daal Makhini is made with asafetida, which is a spice sometimes used as a garlic and onion substitute. The lentils were thick, hearty, and tasty. Alexa was our server and she did a fantastic job. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. Book reservations for free on OpenTable to earn dining points.

After hearing several people (including Indian people) rave about this place, I finally gave it a try. Traffic around Lenox mall is crazy on the weekends. It almost reminded me of Snowpocalypse 2014 3.0. I finally got to the Shops Around Lenox center and finding parking wasn't too difficult. The inside of the restaurant was decorated nicely, but I opted to sit outside and enjoy the sun. The two page menu plus daily special offered a variety of options. I asked the waiter what was popular there and he basically mentioned everything on the menu. I opted to go with the Thalis (traditional Indian combo platter) for about $12. The tikka masala was lukewarm at best and a bit salty. Everything else was good, but not memorable. It was just enough food to not stuff me but did not totally satisfy me either. (slightly longer review on my food blog) I've eaten at the Bhojanic location in Decatur on Clarimont Rd. This location I believe has only been opened for around a year. You'll find it in the shopping center to the right facing the Mall from Peachtree (it's anchored by a Crate and Barrel retail location) - Bhojanic is in the "crook of the elbow" - there's a wood-slat blind holding outside seating. The interior is modernist-trendy with interesting art and an open bar. The menu is interesting and highlights the idea of both serving traditional Indian cuisine and Indian-food-as tapas. If you think about the various dishes found in Indian cuisine, tapas (Spanish for "small plates") is an excellent vehicle for allowing diners to sample many different elements in smaller portions, so you aren't limited by the size of your party. For this, my first visit to this location, I attended with some visitors from Boston (Pranay and Tom) and my local friend Siddharth. We ordered a few beers (including an excellent slow-brewed "Taj Mahal" - after traveling to India I've found that for some reason this beer isn't really available IN India - it's also owned by the parent of Kingfisher, United Brewing but is virtually unknown there). After studying the menu I invited Siddharth to order from the table. He chose three entrée dishes and some various breads: Lamb Curry - this curry was dark and rich and wonderful with ginger, garlic and turmeric as the predominate flavors - in retrospect we should have ordered the goat instead (for some reason the Indians call goat "mutton" - I've always used that term for adult sheep). The meat was lean and slightly tough (but I've come to expect that) - goat has a similar flavor and tends to be more tender, if a bit more greasy. Chicken Tikka Masala - this is the classic chicken curry (most Americans call this "butter chicken" but then again, with enough ghee everything is!) - here's the Tikka is creamy and bright orange, with meats marinated in curd (yogurt), heated with spices and finished with a tomato puree. Delicious. Sag Paneer - this Northern Indian spinach dish was one of the best I've had recently - chunks of paneer (fresh milk cheese) tossed in spices and spinach. Naan -flat bread cooked in a tandoori oven Garlic Naan - as above but with garlic (appeared to be garlic powder - for some reason I haven't been able to find a good fresh-garlic naan in the US - the closest to what I sampled in India is at Heart of India on I285/Chamblee-Tucker). Tava Paratha - this is a whole wheat skiddle-fried flat bread The dishes came with a really delicious long-grain basmati rice - I loved the consistency, a bit buttery with a hint of cinnamon. Also a few papadam (lentil crackers) and spicy mixed pickles to add a bit of variety to the dishes. We finished the meal with a couple of unusual (for me) pistachio kulfis - this is basically an ice cream packed with pistachios and served with a rice vermicelli (on top). First time I've had it prepared with the noodles - seems it's a common thing around Calcutta. We had a wonderful experience with the food - I had seen some posts about some dishes being salty and this was not the case when we were there. The service seemed very slow to us - by the time the beers arrived we were quite thirsty. The next time I visit I'm going to try some of the tapas dishes and will probably do a thali - this is a combination dinner served in a stainless steel, compartmented cafeteria tray (this type of service is very common in India). I'd also like to try the fish curry and the tandoori chicken (have to save some stuff for follow-up, right?). -- John :

I've enjoyed both of my dining experiences at Bhoganic and would recommend this place to those looking for a nice work lunch or dinner before going out. They provide a chic and fun take on Indian (emphasis on street food) without compromising taste and culture. Things to know: ***** I. LOCATION & PARKING: Bhoganic resides at the end of Shops Around Lenox, a high-end strip mall adjacent to Lenox Mall. They share a free lot with their neighbors. I've never had trouble finding a spot. II. FOOD & DRINK: Yes, they do have your favorite curries, but they specialize in tapas style plates, breads, chat, and Kathi rolls. What I've tasted: *Pani Puri ($7.95): One of my favorite Indian street food appetizers, these puffy balls -- paired, with garbanzo beans, potatoes, tamarind chutney, and tangy mint water -- pack incredible flavor. What's beautiful in this world? Pani Puri. *Samosa ($7.95): The potato and peas with mint leaves samosa are tasty (come with two), and I love the green and red chutneys served with it. **Tandoori Chicken Kathi Roll ($9.95): A Kathi is an Indian style wrap rolled with either paratha, chapati, or naan. I asked mine to be wrapped with paratha because I love dense and oily bread. (Not selling it well -- I know!) The roll came with mint chutney (refreshing), fried egg, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and onions. It tasted alright, but it wasn't memorable or filling. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to anyone, but if someone wanted to try it for the first time, I wouldn't stop him or her. **Goat Curry ($18.95): Stewed with onion, ginger, garlic, and fresh spices in a yogurt gravy, I loved theirs. Mine came with tandoori garlic naan. Speaking of... **Tandoori Garlic Naan ($3.95): This, right here, is one of the reasons why I could never, ever go paleo. Carbs are life. And this flaky and soft masterpiece is what dreams are made of. ***Mango Lassi: Creamy, mango-y, and bleneded with plenty of spices. Absolutely wonderful. III. SERVICE: Very responsive, friendly, and professional. No problems here. IV. AMBIENCE & DECOR: It's industrial, yet cozy. I like how clean the place feels. It's also lively without being obnoxious at night. V. PRICES: I think their curries are drastically overpriced, especially when considering the quantity in return, but the rest of the menu seems fair. VI. OVERALL: Bhoganic is one of those restaurants I've wanted to return to, but have trouble forcing myself to sit through Buckhead's traffic. I'll see you again, sometime, Bhoganic!

I've been dying to go to Bhojanic for a long time. I never got around to it and the one time I attempted to order Uber eats from here something went wrong. Then, on a whim, my boyfriend and I decided to go to Bhojanic. I did make reservations but it was a cold Sunday afternoon and I didn't need any. The restaurant was fairly empty but there were still people coming in and out at a pretty regular pace. There was plenty of parking available, however, I don't think this is always the case as there are lots of shops and restaurants around vying for that parking lot. There is free parking in the parking lot. Our waitress, Ashley, was excellent and attentive. For appetizers we got nacho chaat. It was definitely unique and good. I got a drink, I don't member the name of it but I think it was some type of margarita, I didn't think that was great and I wouldn't order it again. For a meal we got a thali, with three meats. It also came with some yogurt and a naan/rice and a roti. We got a side of veggies as well, okra and eggplant. Not a huge fan of eggplant in life, so I didn't really like it but my boyfriend loved it. I would say the chicken tikka and the goat curry are good, on the thali plate. I think the lamb curry was OK but a little over salted- I wouldn't order it again. We got a side of methi paratha and I liked it! The waitress also bought us a small mousse, mango dessert, which I liked! Overall I would give this place four stars. It's very clean and well decorated. Go check this place out on a date, business meeting, in groups or with your family! I would think on busier nights it would be better to make reservations :) enjoy!

So, I work pretty close to this location and I was craving good Indian. Me and a co worker went and dined in for our lunch hour and we pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was a really nice African American girl and she helped us understand the menu and even had a few suggestions for us. So, we ended up doing the 2 meats and 1 veg platter. So I could try The Tikki Masala and the chicken curry and everything ended up being amazing. The curry wasn't too spicy. It was seasoned very well. For veggies, I got the creamer spinach with cheese and it was delicious. Overall a very tasty experience. We will be back.

Bhojanic has so much potential, it is at a good location with cozy environment. However, they need to work on their food. I ordered the 3 meat Bhojanic. The presentation was bad, the plate looked like it's from the prison. I lost some appetite immediately. I was also expecting more meats, but it was definitely more sauce than meat. You'll do some serious damage dining here, so get ready to break bread literally and figuratively. The food should be an incredible, indescribable mouthfeel for the price of the appetizers and entrees. It's good, but the cost simply isn't justified. The Chicken 65, tamarind & mint chutney and chopped veggies with masala seasoning is a fantastic mixture. You can taste the red chilies in Chicken 65. It's a good spicy. My heat tolerance is low, so I trust most anyone can handle the spice. The chutneys are yummy! The mint chutney is spicy while the tamarind is a bit sweet and tangy; nevertheless, super tasty! I'm not a fan of the Sangria nor Chicken Tikka Masala. I love the veggie samosas especially due to the chutneys. Plus it's a nice crunch, non-greasy, with a savory filling. The naan is fluffy. I think it's too thick but to each her own. It's pretty buttery, but the garlic naan lacked the minced garlic and the garlic flavor. In my humble opinion, the basmati rice isn't very aromatic despite whole bay leaves through it; it reminds me of minute-rice with added peas and carrots. It's like the Chinese fried rice without fry. I may return but on someone else's dime. I'll try out the other location as the Buckhead location has cramped parking and seating. True rating: 3.5 Claim to fame: Samosas

Bhojanic should be called "slow"janic. When my boyfriend and I walked into the restaurant at about 6 on a Friday night, there was no one there but one other table. We were quickly seated and received water, but after we ordered it took almost 45 minutes to get out food. Other tables before us received their meals and left before ours. By the time our meal came it was room temperature. We got a thali and curry, so we were able to try a lot of flavors; the flavors were okay but not overwhelmingly great. After we ate it took at least 20 minutes more to get the check. Plan to spend a lot of time here if you want to come. We likely won't be back.

In short.. "Taste and service is good, however a bit pricey.." We went for dinner to this restaurant in a group. It has great ambiance and waiters were nice. Food is good as well. It is not to spicy and at the same time not bland. They had kind of the perfect taste for Indian food. We ordered Paneer Bhojanic, Pakora Platter, Makki Bread with Baingan Bharta and Pani Puri for appetizers. All were good, Pani Puri was awesome. However quantity was less than what we are used to for that price. For entrees, we ordered Thalis. They have good number of options for vegetables for Thali, again great taste for all vegetables. We ordered Chana Masala, Punjabi Kadhi, Saag Paneer, Dal Makhni and Aloo Gobhi. Saag Paneer was best !!. Recommendation - Must try "Pani Puri". Also, from first impressions, I think best bet is Thali, as you get good options for right price. Overall, I would definitely go again, if somebody else is paying :).. read more

Dericious Indian food! The menu can be confusing and to be honest, I don't remember what my dish was called, but it was part of the 2 meat and 1 veggie or 1 meat and 2 veggie lunch platter. It comes with some side dishes (very similar to bento boxes, except on a platter). I had the paneer (cheese) & peas and their spicy broccoli and potatoes. I don't like the cracker that comes with it but the nan flat bread are brought separately to the table - absolutely fantastic. The price is fairly reasonable, about $10, definitely coming back. read more

I am a big fan of Indian cuisine, but I rarely get out to eat it. I was at a lunch buffet in Long Island and absolutely everything was delicious especially those items that I couldn't pronounce. Here at Bhojanic, we had a large group and were seating semi-privately at a large table behind curtains. It was a nice setup. The prices were excellent for the area and the food quality. Our visit was at lunch and not one of our party was disappointed. Everyone got either the daily special or one of the Thalis. Everything was nicely seasoned and spiced, with warm flat-bread. This is a restaurant to return to whenever in the Lenox area. read more

What is this place? Our server was a young lady. She asked if we were familiar with Indian food, we both replied, yes, we love it, and she proceeded to explain the menu to us as if we had never seen an Indian menu before in our lives. We ordered the thali's but those ARE NOT real thali's; they don't even come close to what a real thali should be. The food is okay but really lacked variety. It was quite unimpressive. I don't see the need to return. read more

A little bright spot in my work trip to buckhead! This place was walking distance from my hotel (Westin) and mercifully accommodated my gluten free vegetarian diet (most of Atlanta doesn't seem to). Pakora was a bit too salty but really good. I also had the three bean salad which was a little weird (kinda like cold Indian chili on romaine) but pretty good. It was also quiet enough that I could retreat in the corner and read when I can in around 6 on a Tuesday. I'd imagine it would be a good place for a team dinner. Also, I'm a whiskey enthusiast and the Bloody Bulliet was one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. Very polite and mostly attentive staff. read more

Good, but not great. I've had Indian food only a handful of time, and all other times have been better than Bhojanic. However, the food here was still not bad. The service was not the most friendly but did an overall good job. I'll be looking elsewhere for better Indian food but will come back here if my search is unsuccessful. read more

I am a fan! I have been to the location in Buckhead around 4 times to date. The taste of the food has consistently been amazing. I must warn that If you are not a fan of spicy, don't bother. Some of my favorites include the Shrimp Bhojanic, Tandoori garlic naan, and the spinach with indian cheese ( I don't know the official name for this one). I can't wait to return, as my taste buds thank me once I visit here! read more

Horrible service! I was really wanting Indian food. My boyfriend and I waited at the hostess stand for several minutes despite a near empty restaurant, then after being seated sat for 20 minutes with not attention. We had the menus down, trying to make eye contact with the wait staff. We saw another pair seated and served water. We heard several wait staff using profanity as they discussed customers and eventually was able to pull over someone. She did not give a name, but said she was an assistant manager. We told her about our story, and that we had changed our mind about dining with them, then she started to inappropriately touch my boyfriend whilst 'apologizing' for our experience. Needless to say, we then left. read more

Love the decor of this place! Great service. Decent food in my opinion... nothing spectacular. Quite pricey compared to other Indian restaurants but considering the location, it's not too bad. ~ roti canai - delicious! tiny appetizer portion ~ samosa - 2 per order - I've had better ones ~ thali - you can choose 3 different items (meat & veggies, or all veggies), all thalis come with flatbread, yogurt sauce, lentil cracker, & salad) Parking is a nightmare in this shopping center. Oh man. This was a disaster. I've been to the Decatur location, and I actually enjoyed it. However, this was a disappointing experience. I will say that the ambiance is quite nice. I like the lighting and the seating options. The vibe is very relaxing. However, I'll cut to the chase. We went on a Tuesday, and the restaurant was reasonably busy. We (party of 3) ordered drinks. They were delivered---20 minutes later. It was JUST BEER. The waitress also failed to bring water. She FINALLY came to take our order. We chose the shrimp curry, the vegetarian thali, and the chicken biryani. We waited a while for the food to come out. Once it was out, the inside of the chicken was ice cold. Like they barely even tried to re-heat the dish. The vegetarian thali was also really disappointing. Each dish tasted exactly the same. There was no flavor diversity. Just spice, spice, spice. The naan was truly inedible. It was totally drowning in oil. Such a bummer. I will say that the manager comped half of our meal because of the freezing biryani, but I will still never ever return. read more

My another favorite Indian Restaurant. I visited this place with my friends on a Saturday afternoon. The place was deserted and I had a feeling that it won't be that good. The best part of the place is that they have a thali system and they have a pretty good options as well. Being a vegetarian I went with "The Shakhahari" the Indian name for a vegetarian. The saag paneer and dal makhani were really good. The best part of the thali was the chapati. Of all the places I have been in Atlanta, this is the place had chapati. The overall appetizers and food quality was good. Overall ambience was good and the place is somehow different from the conventional Indian restaurant. read more

My husband and I ate there this past Saturday night and I thought they were just okay. While our server was very nice, the service was very slow (and we're used to eating at places where we reeeaaallllly take our time). It seemed that they forgot some of our food orders (does it really take THAT long to make naan?). She even took off his glass of wine from the bill because it took so long for him to get it! I was somewhat disappointed in the limited vegan items they had and much of those options were fried. But I was especially disappointed in the samosas--they were cold!!!! WHY?! So disappointing! One pro: the restaurant does have options for vegans, vegetarians, and meat eaters and hubby did enjoy the lamb chops and goat curry. read more

First time here. Very impressed. The place looks earthy with nice wood decoration, and the hanging lamp is a nice touch as well. The service was good, our waiter is attentive and helpful. I got the chicken65 and built my own thalis. Both were very good. I recommend building your own thalis, you can get 1meat / 1 vege dish, 2 meat, 2 veggie dish, and etc. There are so much flavoring from these dishes, and to top it it off you can pick what chulet you will like. I really like the tamarind one. The only downside is the presentation. The trays that the thalis come in could be better. The silver trays doesn't feel warming. But I didn't come here for the trays. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area. read more

What a great ending to my business trip in Buckhead, Atlanta. Isaac made a great recommenadation on a 3 combo lunch meal and one of the best and crazy potent beers, Orpheus. The chicken amd lamb meal was spectacular (and I eat Indian weekly in Redmond, WA, known for good Indian cuisine). The indoor-outdoor setting is bright and refreshing too. My only regret is not coming here sooner on my Atlanta business trip. I would have visited a couple times. Highly recommended! Tom read more

Best Indian Restaurant I've been to, in the US of A. Starts with a great vibe. Located in the trendy Buckhead area of Atlanta, the restaurant matches its location. High ceilings, clean decor albeit with an Indian touch and a good amount of glass and light. I've been to many Indian restaurants and most are disappointing to various degrees. This one has a live Jazz band! And a full bar. The food is very good. Fairly close to homemade. Authentic Punjabi flavors come thru. Portions are a bit on the smaller side, but the quality is good. Great food, ambience but service is much to be desired. The wait staff is very courteous and very pole but it's absolutely atrocious to have to wait over 30 mins for chaat and our meals. I will go back there again and perhaps say something next time, but if the management is reading these reviews they ought to do something about getting the food out in a more streamlined fashion!! The Kathi rolls are great and the thali is also phenomenal. The papri chaat is salty but the samosa chaat and pani puri is great. Overall a good experience but significantly tempered by the service. Oh one of the waitresses or managers looks like Kirsten Dunst and I'm a huge fan of the actress! Not great for kids even though we had one in our party but you can manage fairly well. Best for the romantic evening type so then the wait for service is worth it as you can prolong your date :) read more

Good restaurant, but an okay Indian restaurant. Although they brand themselves as a "fusion" restaurant, I don't really see it all come together. I ordered the thali, and it all looked like Indian food, but it lacked the flavors that come with it. The bar, on the other hand, did a great job at bringing in an Indian kick to their cocktails. I got the alcoholic neembu paani (lemonade) and the bartender did a great job of mixing in the perfect type and amount of alcohol to it (I think it was gin). read more

Very authentic, home cooked north Indian flavors when having entree's or their Thali. Fusion flavors come through in the appetizers and drinks menu, which are fantastic too. My favorites to order here are punjabi kadhi, bhindi and chole. Their breads, especially parathas are very good too. Great food...live music on weekends...patio seating for good weather months...it is one of my top three Indian restaurants in the metro Atlanta area. read more

Great atmosphere. Wonderful for romantic night out. Waitstaff is friendly, courteous and helpful but there is a lot of lag time on stuff like waiting for water, napkins, to be acknowledged when first seated etc. That said - a wonderful meal over all. Started with Chicken 65 - highly recommended. Perfect balance of heat, savory, spice and chicken was tender. Pickled vegetables are great - always a favorite. Tikka Masala was not the best I've had but pretty great. Little wife had the Chicken Biryani, which she seemed pleased with and I thought was very good. Definitely worth a visit. Poor Service! Ok Food. Poor Service - Very Rude hostess, we were assigned seats in the very corner of the restaurant (next to the kitchen) when restaurant was empty (Sunday afternoon past lunch). When we asked her if we could sit else where she rudely responded - SIT HERE. Eventually ended up moving. Silver ware was dirty - see picture. I love this place! The food is consistently good, as is the service. The only drawback is that it gets very loud during busy hours. The thalis are fun because you get to choose vegetable sides. The lamb curry is a generous portion that you can easily make into a meal for the next day. The chicken 365 is tender and flavorful; a great appetizer. This last time I had a drink with pisco and a malbec float and it was DELICIOUS! I'm really surprised by other reviewers' comments about the service because what really made our most recent visit delightful was our server. Young guy with an afro (so try to get in his section) who clearly knew what he was doing. He was always right on time, never hovering, but we never needed to flag him down. It made it so that we could focus on having a lovely date night of great food and conversation. We'll definitely continue to dine here! read more

Brunch: Bhojanic Thali, Pakora Platter, and bottomless Mango Mimosas Food: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Average: 5 Saw this place while looking for a new place to try some Indian food. At first glance I thought it might be overpriced considering it was directly next to Lenox Mall. I must say that the money spent here was well worth it. The food is great! The Sunday we went we happened to dine in while a jazz band was playing. That was a very nice added touch. The pakora platter (onion, cauliflower, and potato) was served with tamarind and mint chutneys. The onion pakora was my favorite. The tamarind chutney tasted like it had sumac in it. I will need to try and make this myself, so tasty. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala (boneless tandoori chicken in a tomato cream sauce) with Daal Makhini (black lentils tempered with asafetida), and Punjabi Kardi (onion dumplings in a yogurt based curry sauce). The meal came with rice pullao, chapati (whole wheat flat bread), raita (cucumber yogurt sauce), papadam (crispy lentil cracker), and a small side salad. What can I say, the food was amazing. While I will admit I did get a little drunk off the 4 mimosas, I know when I have devoured good food. The chicken was so tender I had to check to see if it was cooked through, it was. The taste of the sauce on the chicken was to die for (i think they put some kaffir lime leaves in the sauce). The onion dumplings were smothered in a surprisingly spicy curry sauce. Everything I tasted was delectable. I will definitely be back here very soon. The service was great and so was the food and the atmosphere. I have came to this place before for lunch. The service was fast and good! I have here for dinner a couple of days ago this place was a joke! It took 20mins for a server to come take my order and another 20mins to give me water! I placing my order i waited for 45mins to get my food not to Mention I received a plate with chicken, when I clarified that this entire meal was vegetarian! When I told the sever they said oh I'm sorry try not to think about it! I was very upset and disappointed at the service at this place! read more

Since they opened their first location in Decatur, my family and I have always LOVED Bhojanic! When I think of Indian cuisine, I immediately picture their thali plates - combination platters of traditional dishes (sometimes with Bhojanic's unique twist) served with the perfect amount of bread and raita. Their tapas style apps also delight the senses with layered flavors - personal favorites Chicken 65 and Alu Tikki Chole have amazing pops of tangy mint chutney and green chile. Top off a delicious meal with live music and it is fair to say this was easily one of our favorite dining out experiences for many years. After mourning the closure of the Clairmont restaurant, we began making the trek up to Buckhead to enjoy our beloved meals. Upon hearing they had recently opened a kitchen for takeout conveniently right off of Cheshire Bridge, we were delighted! Tempted by the new Game Day Special - 20 Mango Chili wings, Tandoori chicken pizza, 4 Frankies, and masala fries - we were excited to try their new dishes... oh my goodness, each was the kind of food you taste and immediately laugh it was so great!!! I loved the old location on Clairmont. It was everything this location is lacking. Old location was charming, friendly, and the staff made great recommendations. Service at the new location was bad each time I went there. I do still love the food but I won't be going there again. read more

Fresh, inventive Indian food in a clean, modern, nicely lit setting...what a concept! The samosas and pakoras are fresh and not too heavy---amazing, each served with lovely chutneys. The paratha bread is perfection. Chicken tikka masala, cholas, okra, and simple rice were all excellent. Their mango lassi is extra-thick and tasty, and the gulab jamun for dessert was remarkable. Came here last week and had the Chicken curry thali with saag paneer. So delicious! From charlotte and we drive down to ATL for this. The samosas are great especially with the sauces that they provide. Love this particular location, really relaxed environment and wait staff is always friendly. The food is super flavorful and just spicy enough. The thali provides great variety for your meal especially if you have a hard time deciding on just one entree. read more

This is unapologetic authentic North Indian food! The food was flavorful, diverse, and authentic. They have not dumbed down the spice level or created some fusion to cater to non-Indians! Finally a place that serves real authentic food in a nice atmosphere. The appetizers that we had were the samosa chaat and seekh kababs. The kababs were amazing; the chaat was good.I definitely recommend the chicken biryani! The thali was great with solid lamb curry, white rice, Punjabi curry (karri not curry, or dumplings in yogurt), and amazing seekh kababs. The only item that was not amazing was the palak paneer. The sweet lassi was spot on and just like the delicious drink I had at my grandmother's house in Pakistan. Overall great! Only other thing that was not my fav was the too strong masalah chai. I prefer regular doodh patti (chai leaves with milk) without all the strong cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves. But I guess if that is your thing, you may like it. I didn't see too many desserts on the menu either. Service was standard/ok. read more

I'm visiting Atlanta and was recommended this place by our hotel manager. 5 stars across the board. I ordered the lamb curry with Garlik bread and it was very very good. The spices came out perfectly in the curry. I couldn't have been happier with my meal here. Price point for the food is very reasonable. You will not leave this place hungry. If you're looking for a good meal in buckhead, stop by. You won't regret it. read more

I love the food here. Truly it's one of the best. But the business model of late is unacceptable. Please name ONE Indian or Asian restaurant that does not include rice with and order of an entree portion?? I ordered 3 entrees to the tune of $42 and go ZERO rice. Because it was takeout I didn't know it until it was too late. This is completely unacceptable. On every level. On any planet. Do not tell me I need to add rice to my order and even worse PAY for it when it's a STANDARD part of Indian cuisine at every single Indian restaurant I've ever eaten at around the country in my entire 30 something years of living. SMH **face palm** Just terrible service whether you eat in or takeout!!! read more

For the price point, this place was a huge disappointment. I stopped by for lunch on a Friday. The line for Flower Child was too long so I figured I'd give Bhojanic a chance since it wasn't nearly as busy & I was pressed for time. $42 later I am regretting that decision. I got the Chicken Curry & it was bland & unremarkable. I had asked for a glass of Pinot about which turned out to cost the same as my entree. I'm not upset about the money itself, but I feel some type of way dropping $40+ on such a mediocre experience when I could have gotten something delicious at True Food or Flower Child. read more

My friend ordered the mango drink and enjoyed it. I ordered one too but never received it. Overall the service was decent. I felt like the food runner and the one who cleaned the tables was more helpful than our server. The manager did check on us as he also brought food out. One guy thought I didn't eat my food and we had a good laugh. I just got full quick. I would def return.

We were first in line at the host stand, at the very beginning of dinner service, with a reservation. However, we had to wait as a group behind us was welcomed and seated. The host was the only person all evening who wasn't warm or welcoming - it was a chilly arrival experience, with parking validation friction and would have put me off from the start if the servers hadn't saved it from there on out. We were seated close to the pass, which was a fun spot to watch both the kitchen and front of house teams at work, as well as a comfy booth from which to observe the rest of the space (including snooping at other diners' plates - for inspiration, of course). The server seemed surprised that we (as first-timers) went straight to the tasting menu, but quickly got organized and the drinks were with us within a few minutes. She was very present, explained everything really well, and handled my weird ingredient questions and preferences super well. The food was ahmahzing. 13 dishes in just over an hour - phew. This was kind of irritating and my daughter had already peeped this as we were standing in line waiting for our sandwiches with our sides on a tray getting cooler and cooler. The line was long and this will likely be the case a lot of the time so this doesn't work well. My daughter had a special order of beef taquitos that had to come out later so you know her sides were cold. When she requested new sides or to warm them up she was met with an attitude by one of the workers so that didn't go over well. This was weird to us because the food shoud be warm at the very least, so customer service was lacking there but they did honor her request. If they are going to keep this cafeteria line style setup, we all thought the meats and entrees should be first and then sides so as to avoid having lukewarm or cold sides because all four of us had cold sides by the time we sat down after getting get our drinks and sauces and stuff. And sides should come out together with the special orders so the food is not cold. But hey, I know I'm not Lewis, but yall got my two cents anyway Overall, we had delicious food in a nice, clean establishment. And on the plus side, the Beltline is literally a few steps away!

This is actually my second time going to Jeni's ice cream store after my initial one in Columbus, Ohio. For fun fact, the ice cream shop started in Ohio (surprise). It was topped with a peice of cheesecake, which was still frozen. I was not a fan of it frozen, we ended up taking some of the dessert toppings home, and the cheesecake was good later. I was surprised my niece did not finish her Brookie Batter, she said it was too chocolate. I tried it, and it was too intense with the cocoa. They had a washing station if you get a jar shake to clean it and take it home.
