Me and my now husband came here to look at the engagement rings. Some of my friends recommended this place and we came in to check it out. We went to a few other places but definitely felt the best at Bianca, due to great and friendly service. After we decided on approximate size/price and look, my husband went to many different stores, including very high end and still decided that it would be best to get a custom ring from Bianca due to amazing customer service. Ring came out to be amazing, and we went to get a matching band as well. Both look great together. The thing to note that for a diamond, you need to pay up front, so you cannot just say no, after they make it, you just need to trust the process. My ring was a little big (due to me giving them a wrong ring size) and they fixed the size no issue, and were super friendly explaining the correct size/re sizing. Again, we went to few places and sometimes it feels like even though you are expected to pay lots of money for a piece of jewelry that you expect to wear the rest of your life, the service in other places wasn't as good as at Bianca. Having little familiarity with jewelers in NYC, I'd done some research on places worth visiting for engagement rings and scheduled an appointment at Bianca. It was the first place we went and it was all about seeing every possible design option to help my (then) girlfriend get a sense of what she liked (and didn't). In the 90 min to 2 hrs we spent there (the appointment was scheduled for 30 min), Helen helped us narrow in on what kinds of stones, settings, and metals my (now) fiancé liked. And Allen, owner and gemologist, spent the last 45 min answering many of our questions -- and I ask a million questions to make sure we know everything we need to to make an informed decision. Those 45 minutes set in stone who we were going to work with. I soon called Allen to start working on sourcing the center stone and designing the ring. Because of their connections within the diamond business, Allen got a hold of the perfect diamond at a price well below its market value. The start of the design process was emblematic of the experience to come. We then worked together to source the other elements of the ring and Allen helped me choose the right accents to compliment such an incredible center stone. I also wanted the ring to have a unique touch, and Allen happily talked through my options. As someone who has a lot of creative ideas (that don't always work), it was great to have someone with such knowledge, expertise, and experience to talk through my ideas and make the best design decisions. I had multiple family rings that needed to be resized, including a wedding band, and one ring with a loose stone. I walked in and they were able to quickly review each piece, size my fingers for each individual ring, and give an estimated quote. Then that week I got a text with a finalized quote from the jeweler and was able to approve it. The rings were ready within 2 weeks. The price was excellent, I was pleasantly surprised how reasonable everything was. When I picked up the rings, everything looked great! Then I realized one of the stones was loose (different than the stone they had fixed), so I brought it back and they tightened it for free. Allen and his staff are the definition of customer service! My partner and I bought a diamond engagement and wedding bands here. I am a very particular customer and have been shown 20-30 diamonds by at least 10 jewelers before deciding to work with Allen. Here are all the ways his team went above and beyond: 1. In our first meeting, I gave Allen the certificates of my favorite diamonds that I've seen. He prepared 5 stones that were each better than my existing options in certain attributes. Allen took a very thoughtful approach, whereas most jewelers simply try to sell me on their current stock. 2. Once we found a diamond from Allen's stock, I asked him to call in the diamonds I had seen at other jewelers so I could compare everything side-by-side for size, sparkle and shape. This was a two week process as he had to keep checking until they became available. 3. I was concerned about the sparkle of an emerald cut diamond, so Allen specialty ordered an ASET scope for me because I wanted to check the brilliance of the diamond under it. 4. His team worked patiently with me as I customized everything down to the claw shape, and band height/width. The ring looks so delicate and sparkles like a dream (even in dim restaurant lighting).
