During the installation, Abisal realized we needed a better Wi-Fi router to get everything working properly and avoid latency on one of the cameras. A lot of people would have shrugged, gotten the cameras mostly working, and called it a day. Not Abisal. This bloke drove 16 miles to Best Buy, got the router, came back, and finished the job properly. He absolutely clutched up. And with Gavin Newsom apparently committed to keeping the home-security industry in business, I'm glad we have the cameras. Jokes aside, Abisal is the epitome of customer centricity. He intercepts their calls and steals the appointment for himself. He's tall, bald on the top and has a full dark brown beard. He is of medium build and looks athletic. He's not licensed and is hiding behind Google and PV Lock says they can't put any warning on their website. The know he's aggressive and had done this to several people. They also know that he does terrible work and charges an arm and a leg and that he's out of San Jose, they think. I had done business with PV LOCK before and trusted them. I didn't find out that he isn't a PV LOCK employee until I went to pay with a check and he said to make it out to his wife, Ariel ElizabethRodriguez. He passed himself as a subcontractor. The keys don't work for me and they are so sharp they cut my finger and made it bleed. I tested every single key in every single lock but it was impossible for me to open them. So he told me to have keys made up like the ones I had that have a bigger rectangular head and I was able to get more traction with them especially since I have small hands and arthritis. The number I called to make the appointment never answered when I called him back and the phone number on the digital receipt is no longer in service and when I tried to put a stop payment on the check that same day it had already been cashed. He told I could pay him in cash, check or credit card. If I had paid him with my credit card then he could've gone on a spending spree. I already filed a complaint with the Monterey County Sheriff's Department and am working on my complaint with the California Attorney General

My company paid a significant upfront sum to bring in First Alarm to handle our residential security system. From the outset, there were issues with sensors not working. Any request to get these small issues, most of which should have been addressed during the initial setup, were met with "that will cost you" responses. Eventually, we needed to sell our house. As we called each service provider (e.g. Comcast, AT&T, PG&E, Cal Water, etc.) to turn off our service, all handled it seamlessly and without charge. Except First Alarm. First Alarm charged us for more than a year of unused service (over $1K) even though we were not going to be living in the house (so there would be no cost to them) and my company had paid for all the upfront work. I called and wrote asking First Alarm to reconsider in light of the situation. They said "no" at every turn and decided yet another dissatisfied customer was worth the extra revenue. Buyer beware.

After Bandit Systems installed my new NVR and HA security cameras, it became obvious that I needed…read morehigher network bandwidth at home to stream the 8 cameras over the Internet. I decided the time was right to implement Cat 5e throughout my house and put all of the gear in a wall mount rack in my garage. Although it wasn't Bandit's primary function to install home networks, James had installed lots of network cable to power PoE cameras for other clients. Given how happy I was with the original installation, I gave James first right of refusal on my network project. The task was to run 14 drops around the house, two to each bedroom, four to the office, etc., and terminate everything in a patch panel in the cage in the garage. I pre-ordered the cage, UPS, switch, patch panel, and James supplied the cable, keystones, and face plates. My initial plan was to run the cable from the ceiling and through the wall cavity, but additional studs in the middle of the wall made it awkward; we went under the house instead. James and his colleague worked tirelessly to pull all the cable on the first day, then returned the following day to install the jacks in each room, mount the cage, wire the patch panel, and install the network hardware. The end result: my cable modem, NVR, and other equipment are in a locked cage, protected by a UPS; I have Cat 5e in most rooms, and I have complete control of my network infrastructure because of the managed switch and patch panel I chose. We all have seen the changes and problems that have taken place in Santa Cruz. Four years ago I installed a security video system I purchased at Costco, it worked great for two years and then the cameras started going out the then the DVR went down! I spent six months looking for a new systems, in the end I found three somewhat local business's that design, install and support their video security systems (they said). The first was in SLV, the problems were they did not return calls and did not offer follow up ongoing support, price wise they were in the middle range. The second was in San Jose and a U.S. Wide business. Again the problems included not returning calls, they forgot to come over to look at what I wanted and weeks later when they did arrive to look at what I required they said they would get back to me with a price, again they forgot me for a month and when they did call with a price it was twice as much as I ended up paying. The third person I talked to was James Muller of Bandit Systems in Santa Cruz. I want to say that he is OUTSTANDING, he returned calls, showed up on time, walked around the whole house looking at what I had installed before and made great suggestions on ways to improve what I wanted and why. He also got back to me in a very short time with a professional estimate and the time line to install once I approved his estimate. Within a week of my approval James and his crew had the system installed and working great. When small problems showed up (only one or two) all I had to do was email or call him and he came over within a day to look at the problem and fix it. I will say that installing a system of this level is not inexpensive, but Jame's price was equal to the other low bid. The quality of the cameras and system he installed is one of the best home systems on the market. His service, support, and continued follow up to see how the system is running far exceeds my expectations and is appreciated. In concussion I highly recommend James Muller and Bandit Systems!
