We had an electrical emergency on a Friday at 4pm. I called Pleasure Point Electric out of the blue based on reviews here. David took the call and after I explained the circumstances, assured me he would take care of the matter immediately by calling PG&E and sending Carlos out to investigate the issue. It would have been very easy after a long week to let the late Friday afternoon call go to voicemail and handle it on Monday, leaving us to worry about the issue all weekend. Carlos arrived within 15 minutes, investigated the issue, ensured everything was safe, and referred the matter to David, who provided a quote on Monday to replace the entire electrical panel and obtain all permits on our behalf. He reassured us that all would be fine. Once the permits were secured, the Pleasure Point Electric team arrived, installed the new panel, coordinated with PG&E to restore power, and obtained the City permit with no issues. This company is a fine example of a local business that operates professionally with honesty, integrity, and fair pricing. Pleasure Point Electric came out to my house in late 2019 and did a small job for me. At the time I asked about having them install lighting and an exhaust fan in a bathroom. The man (can't remember his name) looked at the job and said it would be "no problem" and to call the shop to schedule a time for the work to be completed. After multiple calls and multiple e-mail messages with no response I simply gave up on getting them to do the work. I did speak one time to the owner, David, who said an employee was supposed to check messages and e-mails and apparently had not. He said he would check into it but I never heard back. Guess this company just does not truly want to provide good service. I was extremely disappointed because Pleasure Point had been highly recommended by an employee of a much larger electrical company. read more

Brandon came out to my house to check on my sprinkler system which was without power. He figured it out quickly and reset the GFCI (which I had no idea about and fixed things instantly). Sorry to say that I cannot fairly evaluate this company because they never followed up on my request for a quote, after informing me that they would come by to look at the work I needed done. I changed my schedule and returned home to meet them, but they never showed up. So, the next day I called again and spoke with the owner while he was driving to another job. He offered an apology and said he would call me when he arrived at his destination. Any bets here? No call. I confess, I'm guilty. I just wanted a small job done (an outlet installed in my kitchen)--not a big money maker, obviously, but they should have told me initially that they COULD NOT or DID NOT have the time to help me out. Then I could have looked for someone else. l've been in business myself and know the importance of communication and follow-through, not to mention the necessity of providing a quality service. Sadly, I'll never know if this company is any good. On the positive side, however, the owner was very friendly on the phone and seemed like a very nice guy. Does that work for you? read more

I was recovering from surgery and our bathroom lights would not go out when I turned the switch off- they remained on. Being used to having to leave voicemails and waiting for a response we were very grateful when the phone was answered when we called. Tylor came out the very next morning at 8 am on time and was incredibly kind. They were very upfront on cost and informed me every step of the way. Tylor fixed the problem and even changed a light bulb in another part of the house for me. He was very clean and thorough. Our home was built in 1939 and still had the ancient original knob and tube wiring. There were no three-wire grounded outlets, and the wiring was in bad shape. No doubt a house fire waiting to happen. We decided to bite the bullet and have the house totally re-wired with additional outlets installed. David returned my call right away and we scheduled an appointment to assess the situation and determine the cost to have it all brought up to code. David came by promptly, fully examined our house and went over the options we had. He's a very friendly, non-pushy guy and we never felt we were being talked into expensive work that was unneeded, It was also obvious that he was expert in his trade and carefully explained the needed updates. Total rewiring of an old house is not a cheap proposition, but his estimates sounded fair for the amount of work needed. From the beginning, David and his crew were thoughtful and accommodating. They always attempted to disrupt our lifestyle as little as possible, and we were almost never without needed power during construction as they worked a section of the time and were able to keep us up and running in the rest of the house. They were extremely easy to work with, and we felt completely at ease with each and every one of them. The work they did turned out beautifully. They tried to keep any needed openings in the walls to a bare minimum, and required patching and paint touchup turned out to be much less than we expected. They carefully cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. The entire job was completed in very close to the estimated time, and the final cost was right on the money. The main thing is that we felt that we were being treated like valued customers throughout the process and had no concerns about the quality of the work. Our manufactured home had been having weeks of light flickering and brownout issues. Finally after having another electrician come out on 4 separate occasions, I saw David's reviews and called him. Within 3 minutes of David arriving he had identified the issue (burned out connector at pedestal). He thoughtfully listened to my explanation of what was happening and had a thermal image machine that could pin point the issue location. Turned out it was our Park's responsibility. David didn't even charge me for coming out to diagnose that issue that had been plaguing us for weeks. I had a bank of outlets go out in my garage with no tripped breakers obvious to me. After trying to troubleshoot, I realized that I needed a professional. I remembered the excellent work that David and his team did for us in our new home three years ago and dug out his card. He returned my call promptly (even though he was out of town on vacation!). Carlos showed up the next morning and found part of the problem pretty easily in a sub-panel (my bad). However, there were other issues and Carlos' troubleshooting led him to an outside receptacle that was pretty much melted behind the receptacle cover. He got the required parts and got everything up and working quickly and at a very reasonable cost. We recently purchased a lovely old Bungalow - adorable, but in serious need of an electrical update! David and his crew are awesome! My husband and I just bought our home and we realized we needed some electrical work, specifically changing out the electrical panel. David came out to check everything for us and even suggested upgrading the panel for future remodeling projects. My husband and I agreed to the changes and David was quick to get the process started. David took care of everything with PG&E and the city. On the day of the work, David and his team were well organized, prepared, professional, and knowledgeable in what they do. There was a small mess since the stucco had to be removed around the panel but they cleaned up after themselves. They made sure everything was bagged to be picked up in a few days once the stucco was officially dried. The price for the work is very reasonable and the work is excellent. I heartily recomend Pleasure Point Electric. We called Pleasure Point Electric to install a new circuit box for us because in some previous round of work the circuit that went to the central air conditioning unit had been put to another use, which was why the air conditioning wasn't working! They called us back within the hour and came to do a bid later that very day. David and Paul came to do the work 2 days later on a Saturday. They worked all day and through their skill and determination managed to put the new circuit box in and reconnect things, even though space was cramped in our laundry closet in an older condo building. They are very knowledgeable, careful, and thorough electricians. And they are very tidy as well; "packing their own trash out, like campers," in their own words. The job was done well; they replaced the sheetrock, and will come back on Monday to put the laundry room shelves back - thus giving the new wall time to dry. The price was good, the work was excellent, and I recommend Pleasure Point Electric enthusiastically. read more

David and his crew from Pleasure Point Electric just rewired our entire house and guest house. Since our house was all original knob and tube wiring I couldn't even get another company to give me a second bid. Two other companies told me they don't bid on these types of jobs because they are too difficult, messy and time consuming. I'm so glad we went with PPE!! David and his crew are extremely honest and trust worthy, we even gave him the key to our house for a month since we don't live there full time. He explained everything in detail, he installed more outlets without asking, he scheduled a great plumber to remove standing water from under our house, scheduled an amazing dry wall guy to put walls back to perfect, he was incredibly clean and conscientious and had great ideas for the "weird" lighting things we had going on. He even opened and locked up our house for other sub contractors after his portion of the job was done. He did a walk through at the end of the job to explain everything that was done. I threw some last minute things at him like ceiling fans and fixtures when they were trying to finish and he had them installed in no time and with a smile. David really, really cares about the job he's doing and it shows in his work and his attitude toward his customers. It saddens me that someone gave him a less than perfect review over an outlet, because I honestly can't recommend Pleasure Point Electric enough!! read more
