Stopped in Bibi's after seeing it pop up on my Instagram feed. I'm a sucker for Quesabirria Tacos so we had to come check them out. Parking was easy. It wasn't busy at all when we went. The guy taking our order was super nice and patient as we looked over the menu. We ordered my Quesabirria Tacos, a Street Taco, a Boujee Taco and chips with salsa. The Quesabirria Tacos were super salty and had an overly smokey taste. Not a fan. However, the other tacos were tasty and so were the chips and salsa. read more

I have been following Bibi's on their social media and saw a special on pupusas so I knew I had to try them! I arrived at opening and there was no wait to place an order. It took a while for the food to come out but they were freshly prepared so I can understand the wait. The pupusas were a good size. I tried all of the types offered: the chicharron, cheese and bean varieties and they were all undersalted but I still enjoyed them. The curtido and salsa portions were on the small side but tasty. My fiancé and I decided to try somewhere new for Mexican cuisine and we settled on Bibis. You first walk in and they have some good music going, and are greeted by some very friendly staff. The menu is pretty simple, they have tacos, quesadillas, burritos, enchiladas, among some other items. We decided to split the chips and salsa and a chicken enchilada. Both were great, the salsa was very unique and had a very limey flavor to it, and the enchilada was also unlike other enchiladas I've had before but it was very good and flavorful. For our main courses she had the steak taco, boujee taco, and a chicken plug taco. Each were filled with meat and had loads of sauces on them as well (they also came dressed). I had the Biria burrito and it did not disappoint, it was loaded with biria, beans and had everything else in it as well. Definitely worth the trip and highly recommend especially if you're looking for some good Biria cuisine, which can sometimes be hard to find. read more

Tried Bibi's Enchiladas & Grill in Gold River and it absolutely hit the spot. I had the Quesa Birria Taco, the Papa's Fritas Taco, and a burrito--and everything was on point. The Quesa Birria had rich, savory flavor with that perfect cheese pull, and the consomé for dipping was legit. The Papa's Fritas taco was something different--crispy fries mixed in with flavorful meat and toppings, super satisfying. And the burrito was stuffed, flavorful, and filling without being overly heavy. The staff is cool too, and the place is super guided so you don't need much from them. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and made with care. Great spot if you're looking for something casual but really well done. Definitely going back to try more of the menu. read more

My husband came across a YouTube video of a guy reviewing this spot, and he completely sold us on it... and wow, he was NOT wrong. We ordered the asada super burrito, chicken OG tacos, and the quesabirria tacos with consommé. Hands down, this is the BEST Mexican food we've had in the entire Sacramento area. We've tried so many places that were honestly just mediocre, but THIS PLACE blows the competition out of the water. If you're on the fence about trying it, just do it. Soooo good!! This place was empty. We were the only people seated. I forgot to take pictures of my food. I did enjoy my Birria taco but it doesn't come with consume which is an extra charge. I also ordered a steak taco and my bff ordered a steak burrito. It was seasoned funky and tasted warmed up. The ambiance gave run down. The light fixture which states ,"Feed me Tacos and tell me you love me" when I asked the server he responded it's been burnt out. Would have been a great photo opportunity. There was a screw in my burrito. My birria burrito actually tasted good, meaty, and well-balanced with other ingredients. The meat was tender, without being overcooked like some other places. The chips were a little stale, but I was hungry and they did the job. The main problem was that when I got to the end of the first half of my burrito, I bit into a screw. It was a new screw, so I'm not sure if they're putting some equipment together in the back or something. Either way, it's a major oversight, so be careful. And employee made a big deal about getting a refund Update: When we got home everyone who ate the quesabirria tacos threw up. Employee refused to help us and even had the nerve to hang up on us. If I was solely basing my review on the Mexican pizza, it would have been 5 stars. It was amazingly delicious. We got both the green and red sauce on the side since we were forewarned that both sauces were hot Thank goodness for the tip! Stopped in and grabbed a Super Birria Burrito to take home for lunch and it was way better than I was hoping for. We walked in expecting to see a large menu behind the register, instead they have hand held menus which is fine but we walked in looking confused since it was our first time. When we tried to let the worker know she gave us attitude and stated they have a policy where they cannot remake the order. We also got the OG potato tacos which were disgusting. Nice experience for my first time in this new restaurant. Easy to find and parking lot has lots of room. The interior has minimal but services, including a tv on one wall. There is bar seating and plenty of tables inside. Went on Friday night and it was nice to see this new place busy. My son, a sous chef, ordered Quesabirrias taco. There were four (more than we expected, and well prepared with the dipping sauce it was also heated up in. Yummy! My chicken enchiladas were also four in count. With the beans and rice platter, it was very filling. Good start to this business. There have been comments about the prices, but compare that to what you get. I think you will be pleased. read more

For the record we ordered this through Door Dash. I've been recommended to get food here through Instagram. The food looked great with lots of good reviews. The birria quesadilla was excellent. Great flavor and dipping it in the consume is a must. But the crunchy chicken was the star. The tacos weren't incredibly crunchy but just right. So good. The jalapeno along with the sauce made an excellent tasting taco. Every time I go here I'm ordering those tacos because their that good. The food lives up to the hype in my opinion. Solid 3 stars. Not bad but there are better overall options in my opinion. I got their xl burrito which was huge and delicious. However, the wait was pretty long for how few people were in the restaurant. Everyone else's food at our table arrived while mine didn't arrive until they were almost done with theirs. The setting was pretty quiet as well. Didn't like how they charged for chips and salsa when nearly every other taqueria style joint offered a free chips and salsa bar. Oh and the prices were high. We spent $60 for two large drinks, 2 plates with 3 quesobirria tacos rice and beans, and a side of consome which is put into a tiny cup but that's all you need because you'll be sick from the greasy-ness of the birria tacos. The consome had zero flavor, just tasted of oil and onions. The tacos were so greasy and floating in a soupy mess. Me and my bf said we would go back to try some of their other tacos, to give them one more chance but other than that now that they have gotten so popular, that was my first time eating there and I think it's over-priced and not worth the hype.. Been on my to do list for a hot minute. Finally decided to try it out! Wen to lunch w/mom and we were greeting upon entry and my dude at the register made sure we had great service from start to finish. Mom did the enchilada plate and I went with the three birria tacos and consume. Everything was phenomenal! Mom gave her plate a seal of approval said they did good. The quesabirria tacos had crispy shells, very cheesy and the birria and consume is crazy good! And you get your moneys worth you get a decent amount of meat in your tacos, oh and the salsas are pretty spicy so be aware if you aren't a fan of too much heat. My boyfriend works nearby, and judging from their social media following and pictures of the food we had to try it out. It's parked in front of a car repair place, so when I got out of the car it smelled like plastic or rubber. Nonetheless, we still walked over and ordered. We were the only ones there and the food came out pretty quickly. Customer service was pleasant as well. We got the quesabirria plate, which came with four tacos, two salsas, rice, beans, onions, a chile, consumme, and a soda for $19. The cheese pull on these tacos is insane, and the flavor is great. Consumme was delicious, and the sides weren't bad either. The quality and amount of food you get is definitely worth the price! I would come back again to try more kinds of tacos. Wow! I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now it's kinda far from where I live & worth it!! On Monday I finally got the chance to try this GEM! The seating is great and the place is clean including their restrooms as a person who drinks a ton of water I appreciate CLEAN public restrooms. Now the food! Literally left my BF & I speechless.... After one bite we knew everything else was going to be SUPERIOR!! SOBOMB.COM! We ordered a Boujee burrito, crispy jalapeño chicken tacos, & Birria tacos not pictured because we devoured it before I could take one! That's how good this place is! I can honestly say the staff is friendly, kind, & accommodating! I always have to eat spice with any food I eat and they gave us their house made salsa red & green and I requested jalapeños. We love Bibis. We first found them when they were just a food truck out on Watt Ave and now they have their own spot in Gold River. Everything about this place is incredible. The quality is 10/10. My only qualm is some of the items are terribly expensive. I purchased a shrimp quesadilla for my 9 year old son, and while it was thick and hearty, it cost me $19. Make that make sense. My three tacos were about $14 dollars I believe. Pretty pricey if you ask me. When I order from the food truck, I feel the meat portion is healthier. I don't feel like I got as much meat at this location. Especially in my burrito bowl which was almost $14. Other than that, service is always fantastic.
