Large michelada beer
Monica M.

Came in today for a late lunch / early dinner with my husband he got a huge beer and I got a watermelon margarita and he got a huge burrito wet and I got the chile relleno plate with flour tortillas. The service is always good and they always make sure we're well taken care of. The restaurant and bar area are always clean. If you haven't been to this place yet I would recommend checking it out.

Delicious Mexican food! We came in very hungry after a long travel day. They have a huge dining area with lots of seating. There's a fresh salsa bar with several fresh/house made salsas and cremas.. We really liked everything we tried. Food came out quick. Veggie burrito, nachos and hubby tried huevos rancheros. All items were generously portioned and we definitely could've just ordered 2 things. Nachos had tons of toppings which I appreciate. Huevos plate came with extra tortillas too.

Shrimp rancheria

The food was quite delicious it was pretty empty on a Sunday night but who's there only who knows. Had the shrimp rancheria and was quite delicious a lot shrimp place was empty so quick service nice ambience.

The Super Burrito (Chile Verde). I wouldn't order it again.

Come on El Bacon, not everyone eats chile, especially melt your face off HOT chile!! I ordered this Super Burrito regular style and it was too hot and spicy to eat! Not to mention light on the Chile Verde meat. I might as well mention the Super Wet Diaper... I mean flour tortilla too. I didn't get a refund from Door Dash so I guess I go hungry tonight. Gonna pass on this place. Nothing exceptional to eat here.

Disappointed. Called ahead and was put on hold, Julius never came back to the phone, I walked into the restaurant while still on hold. When I told her she did not apologized and laughed it off. I placed my order clearly and carefully and it came out wrong, despite looking accurate on the receipt. Because of the phone issue I made sure to check the order before I left. I think they just expect you to accept if the order was wrong and move on. Well that's not how it works, she wasn't too happy when I told her about the wrong order and scoffed as she walked it back to the kitchen. Needless to say I am probably not going to give them my business again. Taqueria Cantaritos is just down the street and they haven't failed me yet. Also, she took another call while I was waiting for my order and put them on hold, I don't think she ever got back to them either. It may be that they're understaffed but that's no excuse not to care about the customer's time or complaints.

I love el Balcon since they say they opened. It's a family owned taqueria and I just love how every time I visit them they always recognize me and even remember my order.

First time to El Balcon, and it was fantastic. I ordered the chilaquiles w/green sauce + added to over medium eggs. Best I've ever had.

You're greeted with a fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and an energy that makes you excited to be there. Since the restaurant was especially busy, we chose to sit at the bar. There was no wait, and the high-top seating was surprisingly comfortable. Our server was welcoming and attentive, and the service was fast from start to finish. Between the great music and lively atmosphere, you can't help but want to dance while you eat! I ordered one of my favorites--the chicken sope. It was perfectly crispy on the outside while still soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicken was packed with flavor, and the rice and beans were just as delicious. The salsa that came with it was the perfect finishing touch, adding just the right amount of spice and an extra kick of flavor. My hubby ordered one of the carne asada dishes (so sorry, I forgot the name!). He said it was one of the best cuts of meat he's had at a Mexican restaurant in a long time--super tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We had such a fun night! I definitely recommend Rosa Madera--10/10 for a date night, girls' night, or any excuse to enjoy great food and an even better atmosphere.

The food was phenomenal, and the service once we arrived was friendly and attentive. The inside is sooo cute! I absolutely loved the decor. Everything is decorated so uniquely, and it makes the whole experience feel special. The atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and perfect for celebrating with friends and family. The only downside was that it was difficult to get in contact with the restaurant beforehand. I tried calling several times to make a reservation, but no one answered, and one call was even disconnected. Their website also only allows reservations for up to four people, even though they clearly accommodate larger celebrations for friends and families. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and in person service were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back!

Complimentary corn tortilla chips, salsa, and refried bean dip with cheese. I loved the REFRIED BEAN DIP! I ordered the Steak a la Chicana. I didn't read or listen carefully enough that the skirt steak with sauteed onions and bell peppers are covered in Spanish sauce. The sauce is actually quite tasty with a little kick. I used it and the salsa to flavor the black beans. However, I really just wanted grilled steak. I should have ordered steak fajitas, a grilled steak burrito or quesadilla, or a carne asada plate. The Steak a la Chicana was a generous portion, which is definitely 2 meals for me. Cilantro rice wasn't anything special. The SWEET CORN TAMALITO is yummy comfort. Choice of beans: refried beans, black beans, or pinto beans. I suspect refried beans is the tastiest option. El Tapatio would be a great gathering place for friends and family. It's located on Sunrise Blvd in Citrus Heights near See's Candies and other restaurants.

I visited this past Saturday and it was quite busy inside like it always is. The restaurant is large enough to fit a lot of people, so finding a seat isn't an issue. To order, you line up in front of the register and wait until they call you. Once it was my turn, I ordered a Super Burrito with Al Pastor, which is my favorite protein choice there. Usually I order 2 tacos with my burrito but I was saving room for Korean bbq that day! The Super Burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot. It's the perfect size for me and eating it with the pineapple agua fresca and some chips makes it a perfect meal! Coming to La Favorita Taqueria is always a treat and I appreciate the quick customer service, self-serve bar, and delicious food! I highly recommend the Al pastor as your protein choice and honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu!

They didn't just walk by like frazzled, hurried workers like most restaurants pushing through the crowds. They actually gave me a nice smile and said welcome, and then walked by. And then I got to the reception area found that there was already a pretty big crowd at around the 5:30 PM or so I guess a lot of early birds come to eat there on Sunday. The receptionist asked for how many and said you'd be like a 20 minute wait and there was chairs where people were waiting but it was only like a 15 minute wait. The server was fast with the chips and salsa and ice water and then soon the waiter came and took my order. He was really quick and witty, fun to talk to. What I really enjoyed was as the noise of the table Near quieted down and they left. I saw a young man cleaning up the table and getting it ready for the next group of people. He was dressed really nice and had a tie on. Having been in restaurants most of my life I said to myself, I bet you he works with the owners or something. And I said to him, are your related to people that own the place ? he said my parents own this place. He was very friendly and polite. He told me a tiny bit about the restaurant and how everything had been since 1970, much older than he was, he was only a sophomore in high school I think. I never really got his name, but I was kind of proud of him because he was working hard at his family's restaurant. I ordered probably something bigger than I could eat because I had to take leftovers home, but it was really a tasty meal, and they're coming out with more chips and salsa without being asked, probably didn't help as well as a second lemonade. It's really impressive when you have a well oiled machine and it appeared to me that the people that worked there seem to be happy so that's always a good sign of good management. Several years back, I worked in the restaurant industry doing maintenance and repairs so I went to a lot of different restaurants and saw a lot of things so I know what to look for. I'm definitely gonna come back when my brother and his wife come up from the Bay Area my friend Ivan he'll wanna go there for lunch or dinner I know. He's kind of a picky eater and was born in Mexico, but I think he'll be impressed with this place.
