Stopped in for breakfast and really enjoyed the cozy, small-town diner atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, and the environment felt comfortable and welcoming. The BLT omelet with Swiss was very good and definitely the highlight of the meal. It was light and fluffy and full of fresh spinach and tomatoes with bacon. I was looking forward to some Home baked sourdough, but it wasn't that however it was OK However, the hash browns, and iced tea were not really up to par during this visit. The hash browns were much crispier than I prefer, the sourdough toast wasn't anything special, and the tea had an off aftertaste. I've been a patron of Brunchies for years. The food has been good, the service as well but the prices have gotten out of hand. I realize that post covid many businesses have taken advantage of the trend to charge more based upon the cost of goods. That is easy to claim because that has become the standard for price gouging. Case in point. I visited Brunchies a few days ago with my wife and a simple breakfast is what we ordered. No fancy omelette or plates full of meat. Eggs, hash browns, couple slices of bacon and toast. Total cost of breakfast for two, $36 plus tip. Then if you use a card to pay, it's an additional 3%. Breakfast has always been the cheapest meal of the day. Except at Brunchies. We won't return after all these years because I am rebelling against gouging. read more

No frills breakfast diner. Feels a little like stepping back in time with the box tvs from the 90s. It's a pretty popular spot so you may have to wait for a table. Most tables fit 4-6 people. Food menu is pretty standard with omelets, pancakes, etc. and prices are pretty cheap too compared to other breakfast spots in Carmel. read more

The food was pricey for what was served. Went with a few people and received one bill for the table, while we were still eating. They up charge for using a credit card (3%), but when I paid with cash and asked for a copy of the receipt, was told they don't have receipts for cash transactions. Restaurant seemed clean enough. Came in with my sister and have been sat right away no wait although we go a lot on the rainy days. The food was spectacular although strawberries tasted a bit old, other than that the oatmeal I had was amazing and my sister food was pretty good as well! Our server both times came by with coffee just in time and always kept it hot! This is a popular breakfast spot in a Carmel strip mall. We stoped by for breakfast. The inside is decorated like a 50s diner with a long counter and plenty of tables. We sat in the back. A table for two. The menu is upscale trendy but the food is traditional breakfast. I ordered the avocado breakfast sandwich which was served on a grilled sour dough bread with egg and avocado. Bar stools have been marked off to help with keeping the kitchen clean during Covid. 2 cooks were preparing the meals, and Sarah ran around taking care of everyone. I went here for brunch. The food was terribly overpriced and was cold. I think the price for the coffee was outrageous. The main entree was also overpriced. I won't be back. After several years as a customer I can see that it's not sustainable for me to pay $ 27. 00 for a mediocre meal. I wish I had gone to a different establishment. I WONT RECOMMEND NOR EVER GO BACK. We had excellent service & most of the food was quite good (chocolate chip pancakes & hash browns). Our waitress was excellent, she was attentive while balancing many tables. I was extremely disappointed by the poached eggs, they tasted weird & I couldn't bring myself to eat them. Immediately upon looking at them they looked off, the texture or something was just not right. Ok, so it looks like I found a new favorite diner, this place does not disappoint! Its interior is that of an old-fashioned diner, no frills, but quaint and roomy, and clean. And there's a bar to sit at if dining alone or if you just don't feel like table seating. I like that style! Also cool is their kitchen in the middle of the restaurant, right out in the open where you can see your food being cooked to perfection. And when I say perfection, I don't lie. I had breakfast this time, French toast today, bacon, and a side of tots... And each were just right. I don't think I'd ever had tots that perfect before, honest! The serving size was good too, just right for the affordable, very reasonable prices. They are on the low cost end, in my opinion, for great food. My wife was good with her breakfast skillet and see it was alright. Unfortunately, the pricing is not cheap. Over $50 for my wife, our 4 year old, and me. The kids and I woke up for an early Denny's breakfast before school but were severely disappointed to find out that they are opening 2 hrs later than normal due to staffing shortages. Tried the breakfast burrito, and the Brunchies big breakfast which had a little bit of everything- eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, hash browns..Service was good, food was good. I was introduced to Brunchies back in 2014 by a co-worker, and I've been back many times since then. Brunchies is basically a simple lunch/breakfast restaurant, located in a strip mall that (frankly) has seen better days. The strip mall seems to have declined over the years, in terms of tenant vacancy - probably due to all the US 31 construction from a few years ago. Regardless, I like coming here due to what I perceive to be a shortage of breakfast restaurants in this area. Brunchies does lunch too, and I've never had a bad meal here. read more
