I came here again for my birthday- it was just as amazing as last year! We had a reservation on a Wednesday at 8:30, i was shocked to see it so crowded on a Wednesday night. Once we were seated, we ordered the arancini. I could tell they were eager to get orders and close the kitchen but we took a bit to order. My mom and i had the short rib, my dad had the coq au vin and my husband had the pork. They were all fantastic. We had an order of free gelato for my birthday and also ordered drinks. Expensive but worth it!!

We enjoyed yet another amazing dinner at this exquisite restaurant we're so fortunate to experience local to us. We were greeted with complimentary champagne for our anniversary while seated at our favorite window table. If you savor fine dining experiences that offer all the extra touches, this is your place for sure!! Tip: Don't miss out on their ready-made to go items -- on this visit, we opted for the Chicken & Leek Pie and the Beef Chili. Highly recommend both!

I'll start off by saying this is a gluttonous review but we had to indulge for date night. It's best to make reservations. The staff and service were friendly and attentive, and the space was small and intimate. Because they rotate their menu often we wanted to get everything that looked good to us. So we ordered the truffle fries, savory soufflé, roasted carrots, duck pozole and Prawns En Papillote. The savory soufflé and roasted carrots were by far my favorite... I see why the roasted carrots have a cult following! My entrée was the prawns and it wasn't my favorite but the duck pozole was tender and very flavorful. For dessert they had a pumpkin tiramisu so we had to get that. In all I enjoyed all the food my least favorite would be the prawns, but that's okay because the menu changes and I'll find something else that I'll love!

Absolutely fantastic visit. The service was absolutely perfect, present but not overbearing and very personable. The atmosphere was great, high end food but not a total shirt and tie dress code with a very laid back atmosphere. Now the food. Where do I begin. Every single thing we had was fantastic. We had the fried oysters with the homemade ranch and it was amazing. My wife had the tahini linguine and she absolutely loved it. (She did say it is VERY VERY tahini so if you don't really like that flavor beware) I got the duck bourguignon and everything about it was delicious. I joked with my wife and said if I wasn't in public I would lick my plate clean. Then we got the carrot cake for dinner. Absolutely delicious while also felt and tasted healthy but in a good way like not that I just gained 10 pounds by eating this piece of cake but fantastic but not guilty feeling for it if that makes any sense.

Veal Schnitzel Ă  la Holstein

Service was outstanding. Both host and waiters were up to the point! Presentation of the food was terrific as well! The reason for the 4 stars food was probably our wrong choice of deep fried oysters as one of the appetizers. They have too much of "deep fry" and not too much of the "oysters" to our taste. The focaccia bread, and second appetizer "Peri Peri Cauliflower " was very delicious and unique. The main course "Veal Schnitzel Ă  la Holstein" was good, but not "really good" (a little bit dry to our taste). All in all, the restaurant is one of the most unique and one of the best in Indianapolis area.

Honestly, one of the best restaurant here In Indiana. The staff, the food, the atmosphere is spot on. The staff knows what they're talking about when it comes to drinking and food. The menu changes every season, but you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Im even blessed they gave us extra to go(btw we finished our food). 100/10 must try.

This is our fourth visit to 9th Street and it was just as memorable this time around. Started the meal with some expertly crafted cocktails, and an appetizer of lobster rangoon and and pork belly ssam. The pork belly ssam was one of the best bites of food I've ever had. I ordered the hot beer can chicken with frites and my wife ordered the pork secreto with jalapeno and pimento cheese grits. Finished the meal with an affogato with chai spice gelato. Delicious, interesting, one of a kind food. We love the quaint cozy feel of this restaurant and how kind and welcoming the staff are. Just an all around excellent spot.

9th street bistro had been on my list of places to try for years and it did not disappoint. You definitely need a reservation in order to dine here, and I recommend looking at least a week in advance! Everything was ate/drank was delicious and the perfect temperature. Service was also amazing. Can't wait to try next months menu!

Our second community dinner Monday evening with Chef Samir and Rachel, along with their stellar staff and 40 other community attendees, was a wonderful adventure into a diversity of gastronomy and conversations! The Spanakopita, mini burrata, roasted leg of lamb, orzo, tahini-roasted potatoes, fried eggplant were well presented and absolutely delicious topped off with fig and olive oil cake for dessert. We will be back for many more of these excellent adventures!!

We came here for a little anniversary dinner. The staff was incredibly friendly, and I left genuinely wanting to be friends with one of the servers. The ambiance is charming, with plenty of little knickknacks to admire. I also loved seeing the owners buzzing around the restaurant. It definitely has that mom-and-pop, labor-of-love feel. My lamb was amazing and incredibly juicy. The fries that came with it were perfectly crispy. The dish also included some beans (I can't remember the exact name), which reminded me of edamame. They didn't have much flavor beyond the lamb juices they sat in, but I still cleared my plate. The absolute highlight of the meal was the sangria. I had to pace myself because I could have finished my glass in 30 seconds flat -- it was that delicious. The ice cubes even had orange and lemon peels inside, adding extra flavor as they melted. A very nice touch. I'll definitely be back!

From the moment you walk into this homey establishment on 9th street in Noblesville, the smells in the air and the smiles on the workers faces lets you know you will have a special experience. My husband and I went here for our first date night after our wedding and they sat us in the "celebration booth". It had a more private and intimate feel which I appreciated. The food.... Changed me. No lie. The chef is an artist and I trust him so much! If the team recommends something on the menu, especially the daily special menu, you need to get it! The daily menu had Eggplant Polpette and it was insanely delicious, if I had to go vegan today, I'd just eat this everyday! The bread is warm and a good start to this heavenly meal. The risotto also was delicious! We had the chicken and the pork shank which were delightful and filling. All in all, 9th street bistro is worth the hype and worth the drive from Indy! I will be back!

I wish I could give this spot 10 stars!! I love everything about it ! They have a joint server model- so everyone working stops in to see if you need anything. They change their menu monthly including cocktails- so it's a fresh produce and they are so creative!! Any special occasions my family knows where we will be eating! We have 5 in our family so there is only one table thag can accommodate us so it's important to make reservations! I dream about this place. Make sure you visit! Oh also love that they have a fried item of the day! Changes everyday. Yum.

We went on their special ramen pop-up dinner and it was a fantastic meal from start to finish. The ramen was so good I was craving ramen for days after. For a vegetarian ramen, the broth was velvety and full bodied. You could not tell this was a meatless broth. The best vegetarian ramen I've had for sure. I can't wait until their new place opens so I can get another taste of that wonderful dish. We also tried their veggie spring rolls which were fried crispy with a flavorful filling. The steamed buns were pillowy with crispy tofu and kimchi, which made for a perfect bite. Every employee is friendly and the service is top-notch. The ambiance is comfortable and approachable. There was nothing pretentious about this place. A comfortable setting with an elevated food experience. How does it get any better? We loved it so much, before leaving, we booked another reservation to come back and try their regular menu and specials. What a treat to have a place like this in Noblesville's historic town square!

The service is consistently great, and the food never disappoints. I started with the fried green tomatoes, which are some of the best you'll find in the Indianapolis area--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly done. The biscuits and gravy are a must-order. The biscuits taste freshly made, and you can really tell the restaurant prioritizes high-quality, farm-to-table ingredients. It's easily my go-to recommendation every time I visit. The ambiance is another highlight--intimate, cute, and welcoming. Even when it's busy, it never feels too loud or overwhelming. It's perfect for a casual date, catching up with friends, or even enjoying a solo meal with your laptop. Grindstone is truly a versatile spot that always delivers.

That said, we have noticed the quality has gone down while the prices have gone up quite a bit. It doesn't quite feel like it used to in terms of food, but we still go back now and then to reminisce and enjoy the atmosphere.

We had the crab cakes and crab & artichoke dip for apps and our lunch entrees were the fried catfish sandwich with fries and the filet with mashed potatoes and collard greens. For bevvies, we tried their rosé and red zeppelin English ale. All of it, every bit and bite, was 10/10. Food breakdown: - Crab cakes: succulent lump crap meat within a lightly battered and flash fried coating. They come on a bed of arugula with a light dressing and dipping sauce for the cakes. Super yummy! - Crab & artichoke dip: ooey gooey deliciousness, perfect balance of cheese sauce too. You don't have to search for the crab or artichokes. And the fried naan chips were sliced long and thin, and could've been called naan fries actually. Perfect companion for the dip. - Fried catfish sammich: the piece of fish was huge and the batter was good. It came on Texas toast with fixins and tartar sauce. Won't lie, the only thing I wanted for was some hot sauce. That's a me problem... just gotta have hot sauce when I eat fried fish but I didn't ask for any while I was there (they may offer it) and still very much enjoyed the sandwich. - Filet: it was great... hubby got it medium and it arrived perfectly cooked. The Demi glaze sauce was so good and so were the sides. Their collard greens are seasoned up! I said does my auntie work here?! This cuisine is so comfortingly southern and didn't disappoint. Shoutout to our friendly and helpful server, Dan... our food and drinks came out quickly and so did our to-go box. His service was truly top notch.
